cool updates but for the next update it would really be cool if there was a custom startup screen with like the race team logo or the car name, u know how we car people are, and that would make it a spicy package for me
It would be cool if the service alarm indicates how many kilometers left to service (Same as OEM Clusters); Question: The odometer feature distance (ODO/TRIP 1/TRIP 2) is present inside the ECU or the dashboard? If for some reason I need to disconnect my dashboard ... Will the odometer function stop? Considerations: I saw an answer saying that the dashboard isn't touch screen because of the use of gloves... I'm wondering: "How many users use gloves vs how many don't?" I'm from Brazil and here we have a lot of ECUs that has this feature for more than 10 years and it's a way without turn back. It doesn't get dirty with signs of fingerprint as you may think, actually it gets dustier (the same as being not touchscreen) but it's easy to clean.
Hey guys, great work cant wait to fiddle around with this. One question, will we ever get more complex alarm control. Eg condition based. Such as, low oil pressure alarm at say 50 psi, but map sensor must be 25 psi and rpm greater than 6000. As an example.
When will inputs be able to be added to the dash it self. I’m out of inputs on my ecu and it would be nice to send things straight to the dash like my old Racepak
I live in a juristiction where low beams have to be on at all times when a car does not have DLR, is it possible to tie the day/night mode switch also to the ambient light sensor, or would I need to rig up some other input, be it a switch or time of day based signal?
This update just sold me on the dash! Now that you guys own Adaptronic, are there going to be fuel-level capabilities updates on the Modular series in Eugene?
Exactly this! I have an Adaptronic and have been considering getting this dash, but don't want to lose fuel level or run and external gauge. Either an external input for 0-90 ohm level sensors, or having the ability to do it over CAN with the ecu would 100% sell me on the dash.
Is it possible to show speed and odometer based on a GPS signal from a GPS sensor instead of the ECU data? And could you implement an option to scale/autoscale the numbers in the speedometer? (with a maximum speed value of 340km/h and a major step size of 20 the numbers start to overlap each other) Or can the digital speedometer show values greater than the maximum speed value, like max value on 300km/h and the digital speedometer showing 340km/h?
When will external sensor inputs be available? I have a 2003 LS1 ecu that is not can compatible and want to buy the latest dash. I would think you would be narrowing your market base by not offering this standard like with the iq3.
It's just like with every other feature - if there's enough demand for it - we'll definitely make it happen. Incidentally we've got a Customer Survey out now where you can officially add your suggestions for new features on our products:) www.haltech.com/win-a-limited-edition-haltech-ic-7-dash/
@Haltech I'm about to purchase an IC7 for my Toyota Supra JZA80. I wanted to know, does this show seatbelt warnings, door warnings, and fuel level on the display? I'm using a Elite 2000 with 2jz-gte PnP loom.
I want to buy Platinum Pro pnp with this display for my R33 GTST Series 1 HT-010202, HT-010233, HT-067010, HT-159976, HT-055101 should be enough to get my tuner going on VE? or do I need HT-159000 because I am using 2 CAN devices?
The new updates look great but, I can't help wonder why the IC7 hardware was released with physical buttons rather than a simple Android touch screen in a neat housing? Not a criticism just a genuine curiosity.
There were a couple of reasons: 1. Touch Screens don't work well when wearing race gloves 2. They get dirty really easily 3. We may be working on something really cool and secret to do with the buttons, but we won't tell you because it is secret (and cool).
Can I run this product without a OBD2 port? I have a 1989 GQ patrol with a 12v 6bt Cummins which is all mechanical. I want to get rid of all the gauges and have it on one display.
But it's soo small. I hope you guys come out with one with a bigger screen, your digital dash products are so good but the screen is so small, if you guys had the option for one with a larger or a wider display I would have got this the day it came out!
Hi, the intro "Haltech" word, can I input my own text or my car logo and can I have my car oem dash style also? Btw, I got a obd2 version for my 15 Gtr and it's on the way, will I have all the features by obd2? Thanks
Hi Kevin, no that can't be changed, sorry. The dash can display only what the factory CAN system broadcasts. If you grab a scan tool and plug it in to the OBD2 port and set it to "generic", you'll see what the factory system is broadcasting.
Haltech thanks for your reply, how about another gauge style, can I download something else, example like a Gtr cluster style or all I have is what it have?
@@haltech well why is colour written as color? Is the software being written in the U.S? If so why as an Australian company are you conforming to U.S standards instead of them conforming to us? I mean if you are the parent company why are you jumping through their hoops?

Something I never knew I needed...
Definitely something for my next project.

Sweet stuff all around. Moar features and things to twiddle is ALMOST as good as moar boost! :P

Almost:)

It's definitely something we're looking at, but it's still some time away.
Haltech I hope it happens sooner than later would be nice.
You guys just made my day! Great work!😎👍🏻
Just picked mine up!
I made my own dash with a tablet, but it would be a dream to have that!
The next update should include a way to turn OFF the gear indicator. A lot of us won’t be able to make this work and it’s just on the screen.
Why can't you make it work?.
Dash is badass! But you need to interface it with Holley ecu so we can jump ship.

Elite CAN keypad support when?
Is there a option to set a 4x4 indicator light on the ic-7

Not at this stage but if there's sufficient demand we'll definitely look at adding those features.

Is there any updates going to happen to the iq3 dash. Or more videos on the iq3?

Hey Matt, which ECU would suit my ford 3.0 v6 duratec engine, if I want to combine with this dash? (Twin turbo)
I wish you could pull datalogs on the ic7 without laptop
I'm putting together a k24 swap in eg civic. What would I need to run this
Wish this dash can communicate with more aftermarket ecu’s in future updates.
Which particular ECU did you have in mind?
@@haltech proefi128
Sorry no plans for that one at the moment. But your interest has been noted:)
Can the ic7 work with the aem infinity ?
Can you add logos to the screens?
Does the IC7 work with Subarus SSM protocol over K line as a simple display, or only over CAN? Or simply only in conjunction with a Haltech ECU?
Currenlty only Haltech CAN and OBDII
"No judgement" 😂

Currently the iC-7 only works with selected aftermarket ECUs or OBD-II ports.
Will there be another generation of digital dash after the ic-7?

We will be adding more gauge layouts in the future but for now it's just what you have pre-loaded. You can however change the colours of the gauges.
Haltech thank you sir
Are all these functions compatible with an ellite550 ?
Yes, all Haltech elite ECUs are compatible with the iC-7 Dash which means the latest dash firmware will support said functions. :)
Is it possible to set this program up to work on my factory (pop-up) digital display?
When will the IC7's be compatible with Link ECUs? I have a Subaru EJ207 running on a Link G4+ V3-V4.
Keep an eye on our socials, it isn't far away ;)
No matter what i do, i cannot get the dash order correct, it just flips me the bird and does what it likes :)

Turn signal capability?
Has turn symbols on the screen so i would assume so 👍
Had turn signals from the start.
Failed to mention the shift light bar across the top
