Each tray is 2.25 inches wide at the top and about .75 inches wide at the bottom. My mountain bikes don’t fit inside the tray, but sit on top. I can get two full sized mountain bikes on, but it takes some work to get everything settled well enough. Three would be almost impossible. Fat bikes would likely be too big to lash on at the bottom.
