Nice granular demo. By the way, how tall are you? I am 5'11" and can't possibly sit and hold a dread at that angle even though it looks ergonomic. Are you using a footstool?
I'm 5'10", and yes, left foot is up on a footstool. I'm also sitting on an ergonomic stool, and leaning the guitar body back a little. That box requires some accommodation!
@@NashvilleGuitarGuru thanks. In one of your old videos you spent some time on ergonomics seated with a strap. I have not found it again but I sure notice that a bad set up sure makes it harder for me to progress.
@@Bradnick930 with most acoustic guitars it's tricky to fully relax my shoulders when seated without a strap, inless I'm in a classical position. But the strap also stabilizes the guitar so you don't have to hang on to it! I also find that having the guitar oriented a little more to my right frees the strumming arm.
