I just imagine what Apollo or Athena would have thought if he returned with food and encountered an empty nest and then returned when the chicks were put back. "What magic is this?" Thanks, Robert and Jean! ❤
Thanks to this channel, I discovered 2 kestrel nests right in front of my apartment building. A couple of weeks ago I was enjoying their noisy flight lessons.
Such funny, feisty little fluff balls. They had no problem voicing their ire at being removed from their nest for ringing 🤣 5 successful fledglings! What a great job by Apollo and Athena! Kestrels grow up into such elegant beautiful birds. ❤️🙏
Watching tiny feisty chicks attempt to throw their weight around is quite sweet, and funny too. Now it’s time for each of the children to receive their new bracelet’s. Onward and upward.. Thank-you Robert, and to all who bring your world to the rest of us, thank you and blessings.
What a wonderful story, seeing the terrible five grow from fluffy chicks into fierce young kestrels with a 'tude ❤ The best bit was the bouncing, flapping bag of the first chick that got weighed, haha!
Thank you for all of your work. It’s quite an honor to peer inside any bird nest but thanks to you we’re blessed to experience this kestrel family with all your fellow wildlife fans.
Always a pleasure to see Jean here for a ringing day and to enjoy her obvious delight with a new brood. I love the longer format films, though I know that they're much more work than the shorts. Thank you once again, Robert and team!
Aaah I love raptors so much, and the little Kestrel is no exception! These little fierce fluffballs are going to be the bane of bugs and mice everywhere. One thing that gets me sometimes is the difference between the "American" Kestrel and the UK/European Kestrel. UK Kestrels look very prim and proper with their uniform appearance and muted colors, vs the American Kestrel that just looks like it has an attitude of "God Decided I should wake up today, and I'm about to make it everybody's problem" haha.
Welcome to the outside world, Kettler Chicks!!🌍💐 I was very moved to see the hardships of parenting and the growth records of the chicks. You watched over many animals and set them on their journey. ✨ You have a lot of children.🦉Thanks for the great video!!🎉
So young but so feisty, even when - to them - a huge "Monster" manhandles them! You can hear them threatening what they will do to Robert if they ever manage to get their claws on him! Lovely video!
One of my favorites. Sad the baby died😢 But theilled to see the surviving 5 eat & tussle over food, then cuddle together and sleepvthen get their ferocity on again, tussel over food, stretch, wingers, and... curiosity pulls them to the edge until one st a tine they literalky take the leap 🥲 Besutiful film, Robert, thank you so much. This lifted me up!❤
👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤ baştan sona, titizlikle çok emek verilerek hazırlanmış mükemmel harrika bir video, emeği geçen herkese çok teşekkürler,teşekkürler Robert 👍👍👍👍👍
Mr. Fuller, I admire you and all of your works. Your diligent passion for wildlife is extraordinary. Your paintings are beautiful, as are your photos and video documentation. I hope with all of my heart you have students, interns, volunteers, and the like, so that the heart of your work will carry on always. Or perhaps an heir or two…I dunno. A foundation would serve the same function, I suppose. I hope that your work is recognized, as you do deserve recognition for all that you contribute to the Empire, and the world as a whole.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🇺🇸🌸
Another beautiful video! Love your voice and rhythm, so soothing. Also learned somethings, I didn't know Kestrel's were part of the Falcon family and that even as chicks they are fierce. Thanks again Robert for all you do.
On this occasion, no ... Robert had already removed the littlest one to try to save it as he could see it was not doing well. But it has happened at other times in other nests.
This is my favourite channel on youtube, made even more special because I can go to Robert's gallery any day I choose. He's an amazing man and Jean Thorpe is a national treasure for what she does for wildlife.
What a great nest box. Is that a copper outer skin around a natural wood liner? Its great to see Kestrels doing well in your area, we don't see many Kestrels in South Wales these days.👍
I believe, the farmer's almanac is correct for this winter. I see hawks, falcons, etc run over on the side of the road. Others are feeding. I had to run one off a young blue Jay two days ago. I was it's Christmas present.🎄❤️. Happy Christmas, Sir. God bless
Kestrels are falconid birds of prey that constitute the genus Kestrellus, there are fourteen extant species of kestrel: the American Kesterel (Kestrellus sparverius), the Common Kestrel (Kestrellus tinnunculus), the Lesser Kestrel (Kestrellus naumanni), the Fox Kestrel (Kestrellus alopex), the Rock Kestrel (Kestrellus rupicolus), the Greater Kestrel (Kestrellus rupicoloides), the Grey Kestrel (Kestrellus ardosiaceus), the Dickinson's Kestrel (Kestrellus dickinsoni), the Seychelles Kestrel (Kestrellus araeus), the Mauritius Kestrel (Kestrellus punctatus), the Newton's Kestrel (Kestrellus newtoni), the Banded Kestrel (Kestrellus zoniventris), the Spotted Kestrel (Kestrellus moluccensis), and the Oceanian Kestrel (Kestrellus cenchroides), the kestrels (genus Kestrellus) are the largest genus of the Falconidae family.
I'll probably get hate for this, but I'm the guy that would pull the starving chick out and hand feed him. It's not logical, then what do I do with him, yada yada.
Robert is that guy, too. He tries to intervene when needed, and if they recover and grow strong he returns them to the nest to be raised by their parents. That's how Jeff made it!
I hope you've enjoyed the video!

Love how this brood seems to have adopted Athena's habit of screaming in annoyance at just about everything.
I also love how they look suitably indignant at being ringed xD
😂
What a great family! I wish them a long, wonderful life. Thanks for these amazing pictures 👍🥰♥️
They imbody the D8< emoticon
When you put them back in, the look on all their faces "we've been offended" 😂😂😂😂
I just imagine what Apollo or Athena would have thought if he returned with food and encountered an empty nest and then returned when the chicks were put back.
"What magic is this?"
Thanks, Robert and Jean! ❤

Nice to meet you, I am Japanese and my name is Norie. I used to hate animals, but after watching this video, I became a bird lover. ❤️❤️

I loved the faces of shock when you were grabbing them for ringing 😂❤
Yeah it must be like this big scary monster coming to get them.
What a wonderful story, seeing the terrible five grow from fluffy chicks into fierce young kestrels with a 'tude ❤ The best bit was the bouncing, flapping bag of the first chick that got weighed, haha!

Love their faces - seem to be giving Robert the "stare" - of such an outrage - gorgeous.
😊

Grazie Robert Fuller, grazie di esistere!!!!!

These little guys are a lot more argumentative than the Tawnies when they're getting ringed.
I love you videos. Love a full story too.
beautiful 🐣🦅🌳

What wonderful parents, such handsome birds.
I really envy you because of your experiences with adorable cute animals!
Beautiful film. Thanks for sharing
How short this video seems! That shows to me how well it was made.
So young but so feisty, even when - to them - a huge "Monster" manhandles them! You can hear them threatening what they will do to Robert if they ever manage to get their claws on him!

He really is a wonderful storyteller!
Beautiful stories! I wonder if the one that died became a meal? Sad, but it happens.
On this occasion, no ... Robert had already removed the littlest one to try to save it as he could see it was not doing well. But it has happened at other times in other nests.
Thank you 🙏 Robert. They did a great job!!!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Just wondering...did you feed the chicks when you had them down from their nest??
No, the parents were doing a great job so they didn't need any more :)
Ossum Ossum
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
They have cury hair so cute
We have birds here that look like Jack daws but I believe they are called gackles.
💜💛💚
Noisy little bugger screaming and telling his mommy
Cherky kestrel
Wow installing the rings looks so sketchy where if it gos wrong those little legs wouldn’t stand a chance against the ring pliers bearing down
Is there any update on Apollo?
I notice these kestrel chick's are noise than the owl chick's.
Does anyone know if Apollo’s recovered from his illness?
Yes, he's been seen recently several times.
I'll probably get hate for this, but I'm the guy that would pull the starving chick out and hand feed him. It's not logical, then what do I do with him, yada yada.
I understand the urge! No hate 🙂

That's exactly what I did, check it out in the last video here: ua-cam.com/video/-6cZ5fTMqa8/v-deo.html
You talk about the smallest chicks life as if its nothing. I hope someone is as cruel to you
Put me back in the bag. I do not like being man handled.😁🪶
