- In this tutorial you will see 4 new ways to style a large silk scarf.
All styles have the same large band base fold, so you will easily remember them.
There are many ways to wear a big shawl, in this video I used an authentic Russian silk shawl from Pavlovo Posad. My scarf is 100% silk 53” x 53” ( 135 x 135cm), The name of the pattern is “Magnificent Century”, Made in Pavlovo Posad, Russia. Surprisingly, they manufacture not only wool shawls but a lot of beautiful silk and cotton scarves. Originally, this shawl had fringes, but I cut them off.

Thank you so much! I used to wear large silk scarves all the time, but stopped doing so for a few years. I have several and wore them the same way around my neck (also wore them in kimono style). After I stopped wearing scarves, I totally forgot my favorite method and have been looking for it on UA-cam. Voilà, then I saw your video and my search was over. It was the very first one.
Now I can happily wear my scarves again! What I like about it is that it is so easy, looks beautifully fashionable, and provides warmth to both neck and chest, which is where I get a bit chilly. Is there a name for this knot?
