Seeing all the REAL quality reviews like this one of this figure really makes me fiending for one now. It looks better than people gave it credit for.
I love that there is a Goku figure that everyone seems to have fully positive feelings about, even better that it's a third party company. If tamashii wants to give us garbage then I say more power to DF and Kong

I love the slimmer look of the 2.0 body, but not all the outdated engineering.
This fig takes care of some of that while making its own set of problems.
This one is too buff if you ask me.

The shoulders look alil funny but can’t wait till base 3.0 figuarts goku. Already have 1.0 and 2.0 so no rush to get a another base rn

Glad the butterfly joints look better the soft face doesn't look bad for super Saiyan. I'll probably end up doing that look just so I can do a more accurate fight of him getting battle damaged. So glad I ordered it. And metal cooler. The new Vegeta I noticed some paint chipping and I haven't even played with it. Just only took him out to test the joints and put him away. So I honestly rather have the joints a little bit stiff to loosen up the loose to have to tighten up.
I want to pair this Goku up with the 3.0 Krillin so badly.

I don't get how nearly no torso articulation is making this the best Goku ever made, torso is the heart and soul of movement and making a figure feel good in hand/posing.
It's really odd that tamashi won't include a smiling face and surprised/scared face with a single base Goku figure anymore like on the 1.0 version.
I just got one in myself from a seller and the colors of the gi look a touch dingier than your video. Faces and hair look fantastic though.
I just wish DF would actually release figures they tease. Their Saiyan Saga Vegeta looked great but never went beyond renders, and their Future Gohan looked awesome but is like a year past it's due date.

I know how its a great fig because of the 3.0 body, but the reason I don't like this fig is cuz he seems a bif chunky. It kinda looks like early z buf I prefer the 2.0 because of its slimmer body. Anyway, fore review like always!

This body is nice and all, but it's really just a reuse of the Gohan that Bandai themselves made. And the head is a little... well, it reminds me of a slightly better version of the Figure-Rise model kits. I also hope that when we get this guy for real by Bandai, they'll also have engineered the ankles in a better way (/copium)

DF makes the molds, tamashii nations approve's the final copies and licensing. DF takes what they have and sends out feelers (see what grabs the audience attention). Jeice, Ginyu, Kaioken Goku are just a few ex. they did before official one's released. SDCC '18 Vegetto Blue, DF made a 2.0 and then made a final version which later on became the one they put under the DBS line.
