Amy, I admire you for caring for two small children while renovating your home and gardens on such a large scale. I’m happy you found so much to admire and so many ideas while at Chateau LaLande. I can’t wait to see how you decide to renovate your rooms after getting such creative inspiration from your LaLande visit!
Juliet and her garden tools was on a mission 😂😂😂Both she and Clement are adorable and growing up fast. What an incredible project episode on building the foundation for your greenhouse. It’s gonna be amazing. Looking forward to seeing the progress in future vlogs 😍😘
You are both amazing! Marc’s ability to envision what could be and your technical ability to help design it. And of course, Juliette with her garden tools and Clement as your assistant. The greenhouse is going to be sooo helpful.
Such a fascinating process!! Great job, everyone!!! Even Clement and Juliette are pitching in, and doing their part!! They already understand that it takes 'work' to get what you want, done. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Would you please come and build MY greenhouse in Napoleon, Missouri, USA?!?!? 🙃😉
Wonder what else Marc will think up to use all his toys?!! 😉😉😉 It's going to be amazing to have the greenhouse! Great to see an old structure being reused 😀💜
Brilliant! Marc & Amy beautifully complement each other. Amy's archeology background means she can interpret and draw the schematics and Marc's many agrarian skills mean they don't have to hire a surveyor! ❤ The beautiful little ones are having such fun in their natural wonderland. I am always intrigued to see the various equipment used in your area. So different from what I see in the Midwest USA. I want that little digger!!!!😍
Not sure how I missed this 5 days ago but am just now watching it. Good thing is that the next installment should be soon. You'll be so happy once you start getting produce.
As a gardening enthusiast, I am really interested in this build and success with growth of vegetables, flowers, herbs. My 8 x10 greenhouse, I do love, it gets so hot in the summer months with the door wide open and the gas windows open. I had the option of an extractor fan, I opted out because of price. I start my seedlings in zip lock bags on a heat pad, then transfer to pots. Great success with this method. ❤️❤️🇨🇦
😮whooaaa! I didn't know phones had LIDAR - that's amazing! ♥ Just love old greenhouses and orangeries - so pleased that you rescued it So the concrete cellar floor's been removed!? I see why you've been too busy to YT 😄👍
My dentist has a camera and program that creates a complete color 3 dimensional picture that you can move around to look. Technology is so advanced I am amazed!
Very interesting. I enjoyed listening to you two working out the plan. So….the cistern = glass house = greenhouse? And the top of the trench is the level of what will be the floor? Will the iron-glass piece then sit on the low wall that Marc mentioned? My grandfather was a civil engineer. This subject fascinates me. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully the little diagrams at the beginning show the outline. The greenhouse/glasshouse will be standing against the cistern which will be a technical room with doors and windows onto the greenhouse.
Hmm. Well some are doing well but some not as well. I’m going to leave it to the spring before showing you so they have chance to recover as well as possible.
@@LostGardensofChateauRosieres Amy, you are too modest. I think you're amazing. A million decisions, projects and those precious children. A full life you have. Thanks for writing to me. Ellen
It is great to see progress on the agricultural side of things as well as on the home and hearth side. I look forward to seeing the stages of the build. You probably mentioned it already at some point, but I am assuming the long wall of the greenhouse faces south? Will the two greenhouses be adjacent or on opposite sides of the property? Great work on the planning side!
I should probably do a plan of where they are - you’re right! Nobody seems to mind my amateur drawings! Yes they will both face south and yes they’re either side of the central gardens. Not too far away from each other but not next to each other!
Marc did great on the measurements, and I loved Amy's phone application! I love seeing the kids helping out. How did Marc learn to use the measuring equipment? I really like the greenhouse plan. I do have one question. Where is the doorway going to get into the greenhouse? Did you say it was going to be in the water tank? This is good, so you keep window space. Great job on the video! I love the soil content analysis and the greenhouse's planning. You guys are doing great. Thank you for the video!!!
Hey Tim and Christine! I think I’m going to do a better design on this week’s video so people can understand the plan. It will test my drawing capabilities though!!! Marc had a degree in engineering which helps with things like surveying! Did you see the 3D model on Patreon? I can talk you through that too.
I didn't understand anything about what you were up to, Lol! I was amazed at the end when you showed your drawing. How do you know how to do these things?
It was started in July 2023 - I put text up at the beginning but a lot of people seem to have missed it. I'm not sure what else to do to let people know - any suggestions gratefully received.
There was a post at the start stating the date it was filmed. It stayed up for several seconds. Not sure how much more accurate I can get! This is a different channel too - we show things in a different order on both so that we can show projects from start to completion rather than jumping around each week.

It’s those moments of the kids appearing that I love when editing. They change so fast, and looking back at July they’re already so different!
What a project! I’m so intrigued to see how it ends up!
This is going to be a fascinating build.

This is such an interesting project! I am looking forward to seeing it finished. ❤
Thanks Judy! It’s quite an undertaking!

I want the articulating tractor as already have a much smaller little digger :)
Not sure how I missed this 5 days ago but am just now watching it. Good thing is that the next installment should be soon. You'll be so happy once you start getting produce.
What an excellent project! I will follow you progress with much interest. How the children have grown!
I have been waiting a long time to see the greenhouse project and it's going to be a big one 💪
This is just the first one! Wait until we get to the massive one! Glad you’re enjoying it!
Excellent diagram and explanations
Hi Amy! Saw your Instagram story! I'll be here for the live, hopefully. I've hit the notify me button. It says it will be live at 3 PM here.
That’s great! Look forward to chatting!
Yes , absolutely fascinating. My regards to Marc - hope I am spelling his name properly. He is an extraordinary man.
He’s such a visionary isn’t he?
So interesting and impressive. You two are so multi-talented. I didn't envy Margot going down into the cistern! x
Thanks Harriet!
Oh I love this project! I am an active gardener and I’m looking forward to seeing this greenhouse come to life. From Nova Scotia, east coast Canada
Nova Scotia sounds so romantic. But I imagine gardening is a challenge with your seasons! So glad you’re enjoying this project. Thanks for watching!
What an awesome project!
A coeur vaillant rien d'impossible . Marc will pull it off without an ounce of doubt . Smart ingenious guy .
Very kind of you to say so. Thanks!
This video is so entertaining, a lot of things are going on, everything feels so dynamic - I really like it ❤
looking forward to seeing this

Nice work xx
Are the Yews you transplanted a while ago still alive? What does the Yew tunnel look like now?
Hmm. Well some are doing well but some not as well. I’m going to leave it to the spring before showing you so they have chance to recover as well as possible.
Great job 😊
Great team you two. Love how well you work together.
Thank you! There are a few disagreements at times but we definitely bring different skills to the table. I’m still working out what mine are 😂 (Amy)

Your progress is so exciting, wonder if your in the coach house yet?
Not yet! But we're making good progress.
BEST TO YOU
Thank you!
It will be great all the best hugs ❤😊❤😊
Brilliant idea!

Ha ha - it’s such a tricky one to explain. Hopefully it will become more obvious as we progress. Marc has a degree in engineering which helps!
Yes, i wondred how he was so skilled. That explains volumes.
Exciting!
Hola from Honduras! 😊
Hello Martha!
✨🌞✨
Pls don’t use music filler any more.. the natural sounds are fine and we have to turn the volume up and down constantly.
Amy has pretty hair today
Why thank you Lauren!
when was this work done ?
It was started in July 2023 - I put text up at the beginning but a lot of people seem to have missed it. I'm not sure what else to do to let people know - any suggestions gratefully received.
I found it difficult to find any posts ...on my screen there only seemed to 4 comments!!
I hear turkeys in the background. Are you having turkey dinner tomorrow for Thanksgiving?
Ha ha that’s just Dave and no we won’t be eating him at any point.
Lost me! I’ll try looking carefully.
This most likely was before the cracked rib. Wish she’d give more accurate time frame.
