    That's what I called dedication bro. Putting a trust in the lure which you believe it'll work and it'll require efforts, once it worked, it'll just keep on going. I was a bit scare when you walked on that slippery rock while holding those gears, reminded me of your previous session! At least there were no birds around to pull your Exists this time 😊

    Good video mate. Nothing beats the humble bream fishing. That mussel lure looks interesting in its design (and not $$ cheap either). • @ShroomFishing
      @ShroomFishing  2 роки тому +3

      Same, this lure just feels different enough that you start theorising when you're fishing it! Yes, they seem to spiral on the fall which is kinda weird but on the lift the vibration is actually quite strong. It feels more like a big soft vibe than a small blade in terms of the vibration

    Great video champion, I've only tried my mussels once around Pyrmont, had one strike on the drop, but no more bites, as i only used it for about a half hour, did you find they were taking it, when motionless on the bottom, or when you worked it more, Also I was worried that the 8 lb leader I used was to heavy , but seeing you use 14 lb , it shouldn't of made a big difference, anyway great video Pete,

    • @ShroomFishing
      @ShroomFishing  2 роки тому

      Thanks a lot Anthony! That's a great place to test them out. I mostly kept the lure moving looking for that reaction bite with a few seconds of it sitting stationary on the bottom but not too long. They were taking it on the drop after working it and it's hard to tell when they have it so I think for the average angler, using heavier leader is wise because you can't really let them run if you hook up right where the structure is.

    May I ask what model nrx+ you are carrying? How are you finding the sensitivity compared to the carbon fibre gloomis ?

    • @ShroomFishing
      @ShroomFishing  2 роки тому +1

      This is 'the one' the 852S but it's not the NRX+, the original NRX. Do you mean the Edge rod? Basically every lure rod is made up of some part if not almost entirely of carbon fibre/graphite. They are not directly comparable because of the line class but the NRX has a normal sensitive feel whereas the Edge with it's graphite handle feels different
