I have worked in a care home before. I have taken care of residents with dementia, residents with Parkinsons and more. The most I have ever done for a resident is hold their hand or blown them a kiss when they do it to me. Whilst it isn't insanely inappropriate to hug a resident when they need it, kissing them is too far. Even if the intentions are pure, he shouldn't do that.
