I remember watching this when I was reading Homestuck for the first time (hell, it was one of the first homestuck meps ive ever watched). I remember it looking so beautiful back then, and its still beautiful to this day. This mep is in a very special place of my heart, and I will never forget it. That you mate, thank you.

((People say that Homestuck is all fun and laughter. It's not. These kids were 13 when they had to play a game that would kill them. They are brave, but no one should have to go through that much pain. They had to die at age 14. No exceptions. Sure, they came back. That doesn't change the fact that they died. Each character is very well thought out and the fact that there are over 1,000 of them makes that amazing. So far, it is one of the longest pieces of literature in the world. When the hiatus is over, it might be the longest. The scary part is, that Homestuck is a bit too well thought out. Haven't you noticed that little things in the beginning make a huge impact on things 3,000 pages in? Just some food for thought.))

It makes me so sad at the Karkat part, how freakin accurate that shit is. Karkat's conscience was so heavy after all the shit that happened on the meteor, like he was supposed to be their leader, and he felt like he failed everyone. He didn't have a big ego when he always wanted to claim being the leader, he was just held down by his guilty conscience and felt like it was he duty to try and fix it.
My poor baby was always hurting, I'm glad he has Dave now.

I cried when Kk cried. Mainly because I realized that the Homestuck fandom is sort of sinking. No more vids are posted, no more rpers are around. and no more people I know know about it! They only know Star Trek Star Wars and a couple Whovians. NO ONE I KNOW HAS BEEN HOMESTRUCK. Now a long time ago I met some people who did. They became my closes friends and one even maybe my Matesprit. We've gone through the windy boy, Grim Girl, Green Girl, and the Dj. not to mention those twelve jerks we know and love. We've all sung these songs, role-played on websites, (Like Roblox) and cried during sad moments. We were there when Sol died. We were there when Gamzee went crazy. We were there for the DreamBubbles.

(yes ik jane crocker is there but I'm focusing on how this song fits jake english so much with how he's seen as less masculine because of him being seen as a coward canonically by most characters like I just wanna hug him. he's paired with the most powerful and last ''so I'll take it every chance I got, like the man I know I'm not'' in the song and it just fits him so well and I think its what makes this MEP so memorable for me even though I only joined the fandom like 3 years ago. ))

Watching this in 2020 during the bitter times have made me realize the things I enjoyed when I lived with my mother who kept me locked up all my life. Homestuck and anime was the only things I got to enjoy in secrecy and it helped me create friends along the way. Now several years later after I finally gained up the courage to run away from her and live with my highschool sweetheart it still makes me smile.

ok im just gonna say this since the end of homestuck is soon but what if..what if in the last page it turned out John was in acoma the whole time and imagined all this. what if all this never even happened but then he wakes up and looked beside him and theres a package along with a laptop. on the screen of the laptop he has a pester message and he reads it it simply says 'ready to play John?' there is no pesterchum name from the person that sent it to him and it ends with the first song ever heard in Homestuck.

On October 30, 2018, one of my friends sent me a recording of the part at 1:22. Since I wasn’t in the Homestuck fandom at the time, I had no idea what was happening, so she started explaining things to me. Every explanation made me more and more confused, until I eventually decided to read the comic. Just a little over four months after she sent me that, I wanted to revisit the video that got me into one of my current biggest fandoms.
