Fayard was well known for being a womanizer in his day. Just because he was polite and somewhat feminine with his hands when he spoke didn't mean he was gay, which he wasn't. He was a very warm and classy man indeed. RIP Fayard
@@TempeSoldier123 its been said in a couple of their documentaries. And he talks with his hands because when he danced he used his hands a lot thats like his signature
Was too busy listening to him to notice his nails. After reading some comments I checked them again. Maybe it was a status symbol from back in the day sending a message that those long manicured nails belonged to man in the arts and not digging ditches. They also send a message that decades later life was still pretty good. Certainly hope so- the Brothers legacy remains unsurpassed.
I'm surprised he didn't correct her. She only had one sister, older sister Vivian. Etta Jones {not the singer} made the third Dandrige sister, but not related. As her brother-in-law, he had to know this, but I guess he wasn't paying attention. Also in this interview, he was getting on in years. Doing the math if she was 15, he would have been 23 [having been born in 1914] a little too old to pursue a 15-year-old. As he stated, Harold was only a year older than her., having been born in 1921
The Nicholas bros are absolute Gods. The first time I saw the routine at the end of Orchestra Wives I could not believe it - had to play it about one hundred times! Still makes me wriggle with happiness today :-)
The only disappointing revelation in her biography was the fact that the third member of The Dandridge Sisters, Etta Jones, was that Dandridge was not a nice as she might've been towards Etta.
They were all so classy and beautiful back then. We should learn from these legends.

Well it’s the Barbra Streisand fingernails I’m thinking isn’t helping. Who cares either way tho. X
She probably would have been happier with Fayard than Harold...
Nah he wasn’t shit either .....
Big Baby well damn
@@bigbaby4815 lol 😂

@Yoel Moshe לורד הוא אלוהים make me bitch 😂
Thank heaven they were recognized later in life for their artistry.
Who is the lady interviewer ? She has a wonderful warm laugh and personality
The interviewer is Mrs. Bill Cosby
Over the years, there’s been no information on what happened to Dorothy Dandridge Daughter.
Jass Vellucciano She died in the State institution where she was placed and cared for.
If I’m not mistaken it was not that long ago (within the last 2-3 years) that she passed away in the institution.
She died around 2001
Happy Birthday Fayard Nicholas - October 20 (RIP)
God Bless , R.I.P. 🙏🏾💗

LOL he was too cute!
Rich history. 🔥
“And then they got married, and my brother Harold proceeded to beat the crap outta Dorothy”.
He actually wasn’t abusive at all , just a horrible father and cheater .
Harold didn't beat Dorothy. That was the second husband, Jack Denison
He so cute

Damn....his finger nails....
I can’t believe this man has the nerve to discuss Dandridge after the way his brother treated her. Disgusting.
I mean he is fayard not his brother Harold so he can talk about Dorothy
