- Oh boy, what a lovely world. The elves are really thriving, huh? Living their lives free from worry...
...I sure hope nothing bad happens.

The interesting thing is that if they all had perfect AI, the elves could theoretically win even at the very end. Burn the edges of the corruption whenever it expands and never go in. Kill ghosts that come out since the ghosts dont regenerate if people don’t go in
Imagine if the developers add it so that as civilizations gain more common knowledge their AI gets smarter too. You could get actual battle strategies showing up like flanking and surrounding enemies
Also if they got that Island in the top left corner then they would win because the corruption couldn’t reach the island
amazing idea. But it's sadly impossible.
Maybe in a few centuries but idk
WWe should be able to open servers where people choose race and create kingdoms
@@wolflightning2331 Not impossible on anyway, hard, but, we're maybe a year from it being completely possible.
Funny thing is that the elves have a natural resistance to the corruption-death-snowball because of their long lifespans and high likelihood of developing bow technology early

I thought they were immortal
@@diobrando6382 They generally live to about 200 years in WorldBox. The elves your talking about are probably Lord of the Rings who stereotyped these elves.
you should do a corrupted biome scenario with with a people with pyromaniac and fireproof traits to more successfully fight off the corrupted land.
they'll need to have the "fire feet" trait too in that case because pyromaniac doesn't do much
@@kazoo_2005 EXACTLY, this biome should be EXTREMELY burnable to make it less op.
... yeah but sadly it needs the selective breeding mod, to make everybody pass the traits on, but sadly that mod is obsolete and doesn't work anymore

@@georgerobins4110 Getting to work!
Corrupted is pretty thematic and useful, I've used it to punish a centuries old Dwarf kingdom then after more centuries pass it managed to spread south and topple an Orc kingdom as well as a Human kingdom
How about the elves?
@@oofyxd647 well I turned their first king into a Mushroom.
I sank their island.
I made a new island for them then I let Cold Ones invade it.
I sank it a second time.
And I had a colony of Elves get invaded by wild Dwarves and I spared only two babies.
@Bill Clinton Enjoyer You assume correctly.
Although now I've brought back the island and made it enchanted and home to Druids, Fairies, and a sentient Tree.
Meanwhile the Elves are relatively thriving, but I'm thinking of having one particular Elf turn to pyromancy...

This game sucks.
Is game worth buying on PC? On phone it depletes battery very fast
See if they can survive a zombie outbreak. Make a really big civilisation like this and then just infect one of the towns in it. See what happens.
Its civilization and they would probally lose because I did that with elves and they lost against the zombies
The low Terraria Corruption biome theme song playing on the background once the corruption overthrew good part of the land just makes me remember how my terraria world almost got destroyed by corruption lmao
I enjoyed this. People don't feature Corrupted Biome that often. I would like to see a colony start on an island along with a small patch of corrupt land and see if the kingdom could develop enough to leave the island and settle elsewhere before the corrupted biome takes them out.
You need to add wizards, necromancers, plague doctors and that sort to games like this.
All of that is in the game, Gorg simply doesn’t use them
it is kinda odd that there isnt an option for these guys to spawn naturally. even if they are nerfed versions.
@@iceneko9170 Threw the “Other Disasters” World Law, Necromancers and Evil Mages can spawn normally.
@@oblivion9619 sure disasters can spawn but not mutually beneficial units like plague doctors.

You should do this with the Orcs. See if their smug orc faces can handle the spookies.
Try this with Orcs! Im curious to see if they would fair better since they are so OP, or if their shorter lives would doom them
Just found you like a month ago and I’m so glad! Look forward to your videos all the time! You make this game so interesting and hilariously funny.
You should make a series like this where you slowly add traits to the civilization to help fight the corrupted biome. You should also try this with different races to see how they do. Great video!!!
You ever thought of playing with fast population and unlimited housing it’s pretty cool

You should do a world with three kingdoms elves, humans, and dwarves but make everyone immortal but the entire world is corrupted.
for 500 years, the four nations lived in harmony. but then everything changed when the skeleton nation attacked.
gorg dissapeared when we needed him the most
Elves were living peacefull and in harmony over 500 years.
Untill corruption biome infected the world.
When the Grog most needed. He vanished
But gorg master of all four races could defeat the skeleton nation.
Basically this was a simplified/slightly altered version of the Game of Thrones plot.
"Yeah so like, when winter comes zombies do too. And it's like, it's really not looking good. Like it's looking REALLY bad."
A world without corruption...how great would that be?
Get a clentaminator
a world whithout brasil
looks like a cool setup for an anime where the kingdom collapses no matter what
The use of the terraria corruption theme was a nice little detail
Yeah
I feel like if the Elves had all their armies sit on the edge of the corrupted territory with hundreds of bows than they would have won
you should do this again with multiple kingdoms but when theres only 2 left you could make an island thats like a safe haven that they have to squabble over
I've done this, only with a fully corrupt world and the kingdom started in it. Completely survivable
You should do this but the whole map being land no water with little pockets of sand to survive in and one pixel of corrupted biome in the middle.
Although I don't particularly enjoy playing this game, I truly appreciate viewing your content because it's so engaging, especially the adventurer's story.
Bro the terraria's corruption theme in the background got me smiling
this is some dark souls tier of worldbuilding
I've seen kingdoms burn the corrupted away. And I decked them out with traits and necromancers
10:30 I actually tried this, by making the ultimate kingdom with every good trait and cheat imaginable, and then making the corrupted. They could actually survive, but only as long as you have old age in specific turned off. With every good thing possible except for no old age, and an entire map of corrupted, they collapsed after 500 years (I also waited for them to reach their full capacity as a civilization before changing anything).
I love how you chose the corruption theme from terraria
It would be cool if there was a biome like corrupted but instead of cursing people it resurrected people who died on it as zombies. So if you walk over it you're fine, but die there and it's zombie time for you. Then you could set up choke points between kingdoms causing any fight that takes place there to spawn zombie hordes
Something you didn’t notice is that if an elf dies in the corrupted biome while also being cursed they will become both a skeleton and a ghost! I’m surprised the elves lasted so long.
*the guy on the one square of grass* NOT MY BLOOD! NOT MY BLOOD! *it's a quote from War of the Worlds*
The skeletons got OP because there kingdom just had OP gear and that just backfired them so bad damn...
5:28 "Every dead body that is not exterminated gets up and kills. Every person it kills gets up and kills." -Gorillaz, Clint Eastwood
This is chilling social commentary.
Elves have the worst match up against corruption because they don't build roads that can slow down corruption
I dunno if you know this, but if you drop rain on a rain cloud it’ll disappear. Anyways, LOVED the video 😄
The way those elves died to corruption which stole their weapons and armor really ressembles how high tech non-orcs die to a bunch of primitive orcs.
Tech ascendancy is actually a pure disadvantage since the only thing that happened is the tech getting looted by more primitive foes who will then fare better against civilians.
So once epic skeletons with bows appear, the fight is pretty much over.
We love gorg
I agree
I agree
I like how he had terraria corruption theme playing
The real amazement of this video is the Terraria corruption music playing, nice touch
corrupted mountain looks like a flaming skull
You should 100% enable "Show Holding Resources" in the debug menu. It shows whatever each unit is holding when they harvest and it adds a little bit more info to make your sims more interesting.
I think this would be cool with the orcs since they are stronger than elves
This reminds me of "Lockwood and Co"
Were hauntinfs became a national problem and they literally created agencies to stop ghosts
There is only one counter to corrupt biome. It's infernal
I tried this but with humans and they actually held their lines longer than i expected.
Another great video, you make WorldBox very interesting! I had an idea that if there was a dinosaur mod you could make a cinematic involving them?
11:26 if they had concentrated every squad on the outbreak area i think it could have been contained. It would be very interesting to see this scenario in a chokepoint map where the AI can focus it's forces on one point. I'm thinking a line of villages surrounded by 2 mountain ranges on either side.
This must be one of Gorgs best videos!
Such an intresting idea. Very fun to watch.
I would say another interesting thing that you could do with the corrupted is have all four races fight each other. on an area where the center is blessed if they reach it. The negative thing about it is that any race trying to get there would have to go three barrier of corrupted. so that any fights near that area would possibly have them go through and become corrupted. know if they go through the blessed after it will get rid of most of the corrupted and cursed placed on them. still some might appear because of you know place is being built inside of corrupted or movement around it. so occasionally you would have fights happen and corrupted would appear. it would make it very interesting to see what happens when they have to go through a corrupted area possibly to get to another kingdom with the chance of some being blessed in the process going through the center some. now they could lose that by getting corrupted again heading to the opposite side.
The Terraria corrupted music is a nice touch haha
"Not a happy ending unless you're a ghost or a skeleton"
I mean, that's most of what we are. Ghosts controlling skeletons packed with meat.
This would've been a more interesting video if there were more deserts and other biomes that couldn't be corrupted. There'd be hardy little holdouts!
You can try set one kingdom of orcs with many good traits like strong , gigant and genius on a corrupted biom and the other kingdom on a nice land but with no traits or with bad ones. And let them expand and then declare war on each other.
That's basically what I was gonna say.
I thought the bones were people that turned to stone
What killed the Elves was that the corrupted get to keep their armor when they die.
Last kingdom standing but everyone has every single trait
I like how it took 600 years and no one thought the island existed
That is the safest place on the map
at the end there i was getting attack on titan vibes. the last holdouts pressing to retake land. but honestly i would love to just see this whole thing done as a series, like lord of the rings fashion. have an hour or two of how the civilization built up, getting to know the tribes and cultures of the world and how they developed, then shift gears to pure horror as this world that you have come to know is slowly eaten away and they dont know how to stop it. until finally the survivors have to get on ships and stab out into the unknown sea for one last desperate hope of a new land they can restart on. that would make for an epic story...
Fun Fact: If you sprinkle water over the darker clouds it will disappear automatically.
how do you get the shiny rock, also the videos are very entertaining! 0:15
the irony of that is that we tought the farms would be safehavens but it was always a trap since when people in the farms died of old age there was just one enormous horde of monsters to fight against
Asking you to turn on the "ShowAmountNearArmy" and "ShowWarriorsCityText" debugs part 2. they are located right under sonic speed, you can't miss it.
We must spread this
What does it do?
11:45 bro kicks in the terraria music
I want to see this experiment with Orcs next, and/or one where the race gets unlimited resources for those 500 years, so they get even more powerful and armed and armored, before the curse befalls them all.
16:21 it looks like the ultimate beyblade
Anyone else notice that the snow on the central mountain looked like a dophin?
i love how you used the terraria corruption theme for like the whole video.
I don't know how you managed to do this but you somehow made a carrier playing this game. Probably cause your such a good youtuber.
The massive army just sitting in the middle all getting cursed
This has the feel of a zombie invasion.
This seems like a great origin Story for a location in a Fantasy Game or something like that
Impressive the elves Actually had control over there kingdome for the most part which is just wow
Make a map with 4 corners that are safe and fruit bushes in the middle of the map but all the area around it is Corrupted and they have not starve.
This is like a horizon zero dawn type situation but with ghosts instead of robots
Am I the only one who noticed he used the corruption song from terraria at 11:32?
No. Also It's in the whole video
How to prevent this corrupt biome and how to make it to normal biome ?
what they could do is they could make an artificial island
What if you tried starting the corrupted biome in a corner?
"You have become the very thing that you swore to destroy"
-Basically everyone in this experiment
13:00 is when the good stuff happens😮
*didn’t use orcs because the orcs might just win like always. : )
I know it doesn’t work like that, but all it takes is a fire trait such as pyromaniac to possibly change the fight. If you do this again, turn on rebellions and natural disasters, it is chaos.
And give the non-undead a guy with the demigod trait once the undead mob starts. That way it is possible to survive but also the demigod will mess up any rebellions but be forced to kill everyone twice.
Pyromaniac trait being our only hope who would have guessed???
I had no idea corrupted biome spreads more successfully than others... Well once I presumed it may be the case as one time corrupted biome overtook one island but I chose to belive it was a coincidence instead. However now I got a proof of what I presumed.
You should play the Diversity Crate mod again. It got remastered and the races got upgraded the hive are my new favourite civ because their cultures have ten special knowledges, and they have awesome windmills. Goblins got fixed too less bugs but you might see a few at first, they go away after A few world loads. really fun
also ur videos are really cool
Did that once but with all four races, the orks were the only ones that survived and eventually beat it
My terraria world after I defating wall of flash:
The terraria corruption theme is gold
the background music is very accurate because it's the terraria music of the corruption biome and hes making a video of something about corruption, and the corruption in worldbox actually spreads like in terraria
The Horror, THE HORROR!
If only they decided to live pn that small island at the top.
I would have colonized that single island on the north.
Long ago the 'Skill Issue' community thrived, but everything changed when the corrupted 'Tryhards' arrived.
Being cursed lowers health and stats so that's bad for the elves
this reminds me of what made me fall in love with the minecraft mod thaumcraft... the 1.8-9 ? ish version... when the 'flux' still hade a dynamic enviromental biome effect hehehe
also... this sandbox sounds like someone should add a undead 'species/kingdom' to add.... that while it not breed's can get new members from any kills.. be it animal or sentient and i guess 'reincarnate' any killed members of its numbers so..growth , a bit hmm... but endurance.. ohhh
