I'm a controller at SoCal TRACON in the Burbank area. Clicked on this video randomly. Was fun to watch the view on the way in, have never seen it from your perspective. If you wanna cruise down to San Diego at some point, I can give you a tour from our perspective. Keep up the great work in the skies, and from the studio. Thanks for the content.
@@BrianMonette So I think you can film anywhere, except the radar room. But, you can film the simulator lab and the rest of the inside. It's a huge building and there are a lot of people that work here to support us and the flying community on a daily basis. You can chill with me, watch and listen then vlog about what you saw and heard. Might be worth it.
This was my dream job and made me studied aerodynamics. Got admission at Delta Connection Academy but family discouraged me to take it, I regret it today.
Pilots these days are losing their skill because they rely on autopilot too much. There's joy in hand flying. Sure I use autopilot also but if it were to fail, I'd be just fine.
How do you know climb power is set in that airplane? Is it a certain detent you click when you move the throttles back? Or is it a specific N1 you are looking for?
Brian how are the upgrade times in your company? How long till you’re the Captain? My airline was 5 years. I left in 08 so I have no idea what it is now. Where do you guys do your training? I think I told you I work for FlightSafety now in the Orlando center, teaching Cessna Citations.
Hey Michael. That depends on demand and experience. I'm certain 2019 will be my upgrade year. That will actually be my 5th year. We do our training at CAE. In Texas and New Jersey. Awesome you work at flight safety. Any possibility for a tour?
@@michae8jackson378 Do you have info on Flight safety's right seat program? Or info regarding the ATP CTP course? Please inbox me here or on facebook when you get a chance.
Nice flight, cool video. Just wondering do you guys switch off from taxi to takeoff all the time or do you get to do the whole flight. Im new to the channel and in the videos I’ve seen you guys do this. Is it something you guys do or does everyone do it, just trying to understand how things go. Keep up the great work, safe flights 🛩🛩
I'm not sure what everyone else does but there are flights where I flew in the left seat the whole time. We did the switch in my videos because there's no steering tiller on the right side. That's why he had to do the taxiing.
Glad you noticed. I can't figure what's wrong with my recorder. I used it in previous videos but now it just plays low. I have to experiment again *sigh. Next one shall be better.
Seems kinda odd to fly from the right seat. Kinda like someone from the states driving in England on the left side of the rode but sitting in the right seat and driving a stick shift.
Welcome back. The very passionate I have in aviation you live it!!! Planes are life!! And you're crazy funny!! I could watch these videos all day long. I'm hooked, subscribed and glued to the tube!!! My Instagram handle is ThePllane Truth!!
I'm a Van Nuys local. Every time I passed the airport I stick my head up to watch those airplanes. Now I can finally see what's inside. Thank you!
Man, that's really stylish VLOG, I state! And the ATC alive brings real work spirit here.
I'm in aviation too and driving a taxi in my spare time.

buttaonaroll I’d love to. May I film in there?

buttaonaroll noted. Message me on my email or Instagram. We will make this happen someday once my schedule settles down. Thank you.
The challenger is just a sexy airplane...well done sir!
Thank you Brian. I love this plane.
The stress you guys have to deal with everytime, I respect it.
This was my dream job and made me studied aerodynamics. Got admission at Delta Connection Academy but family discouraged me to take it, I regret it today.
You're still flying it with your hands after takeoff without autopilot. I love it!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂Wonder who was giving you such a pounding! Quite funny introductory video👍
Amazing flight looking forward to be in your seat one day.
Congrats. Nice work.
Wow! What a great flight, thanks again for taking us along.
Odd that VNY was reverse pattern with only a three knot wind.
RyanBomar Thanks for your comment as always Ryan. They changed the pattern to 16R shortly after we landed so I’m guessing it was a gusty morning.
Challenger 300 as in the bombardier challenger?
Are you’re great landing rate 💯
Loved the video especially the ATC audio.. keep em up!
Will do.

Flynmc We have FADEC so we bring it back to MCT and leave it there.
Then dial the speed you need on the AP panel?
Flynmc Yes

Brian Monette that makes sense, hard to steer if you don’t have control 🤣🤣. Great looking plane have a great holiday
Very cool video. It would be nice to hear you communicate with one another a little better the volume was low.

@@BrianMonette BTW every time you take off from Van Nuys you probably fly over Apollo field the rc airport.
Cool vid

X X HA. Very true. After years of alternating between both seats it gets very easy.
Fly to Thailand !!!
joy nara I wish. Maybe next time 😉
