This is some kind of freaky trippy timewarp. The last time I saw these I was a kid. I can totally feel the difference between me now and then like looking through a window.
It's something how the world was in quite a bit of upheaval at the time. Germany had just reunited two years earlier, the first Gulf War was earlier that year, the USSR was about to cease to exist, and Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia were not far from breaking apart. Everything was changing so fast! I was 13 in 1991, so I witnessed a lot of it from the U.S. I can remember at this time not even knowing where one of my ancestral countries- Croatia- was even located, then I'd find out the next year.
Oh my... Remember when people like actually watched TV... Saturday morning cartoons ?? Or when people called your house...and you didn't know who it was until you answed?? End of an era....😌
No GPS back then either. We always had to pay attention to road signs and have good spacial memory. Had to use the white pages to look for a phone number/address. Micheal Jackson and music videos were unbelievably huge. Probably to cash in on MTV's and MJ's success and to drive demand for cable. My house got MTV by 1991, but just barely. I remember MTV being channel #20 and the highest channel in our cable package around this time.
