Style, ideas & fashions didn’t Change immediately just because the decade did. People still had clothes & things from the 80’s lol. Just like when 2020 comes, everything is still going to still look like the 2010 decade. If you think about it, a decade doesn’t start to change until about the third or forth year in. The early 60’s looked like the 50’s until 1964. Same thing with the 70’s, 80’s & so on. I know this was a long response but I wanted to make sure I was making sense lol.

In commercials yeah and it also depended on where you lived. My hair was nothing like this in the early 90s I had grown out my 80s bangs, hair was long and straight. Def not 80s at all
That's actually how I became a little familiar with 80s culture and style. I was born in the late 80s so don't really remember much of the actual decade itself but it carried over into part of the 90s, my early childhood years. I'd say '93 was the turning point, when I noticed as a kid that fashions/aesthetics/culture was beginning to change into something different.
I graduated college in 1991. Now I understand when my parents tried to tell me about the 1950s and how things were so different.
I'm sure that millennials will be telling the same kind of stories to their kids and grandkids about our growing up years....

Forgot how many car commercials there were in the 90's.
My mother watched that then-new version of Dark Shadows. All I can remember from it is a little boy bouncing a ball off a wall, and saying, "If I catch this one, Daffney isn't dead!" before each throw. Not sure why that in particular was pressed so firmly into the wet cement of my memory, but it was. I believe that show, as well as the original classic version, may be available on Hulu. I'll have to check into that.

Those breakfast buddies were so damn good,they were discontinued long after they would’ve seemed temporary which was just cruel😅after like 8 years they just didn’t have them. That was some time in 1999 and I’m still pissed😜
