great intro to the 250km saunter......looking forward to watching the rest :) its a magnificent walk, and some great changes in the landscape the whole way through.
Thanks Joe and appreciate you following along. It really is a brilliant hike and so much anticipation while you're doing it with the changing landscape throughout.
Hi Gerard. Thanks for leaving a comment. If you're talking about the video not loading properly as you're trying to watch it, I've just watched it through again to see if there are any problems with it but it played through fine for me. It could be that your internet connection was experiencing issues at the time? Hope you may be able to watch it again without any connection issues.
@@FreedomOnFoot I just changed over to telstra from optus. I still have not even used the first ten percent of datar on my plan. So i thought to let you know as i have watched it sometime ago without any problems. As i am interested in getting into hiking, i am watching a lot of hiking channels and some of them are stop load & go as well. Gerard.
@@svlittlegem it's great to hear that you're looking at getting into hiking! I hope you have some more luck with your internet service so you can enjoy UA-cam videos without interruption. Hope you find my channel to be a useful source of information and inspiration for planning your hiking adventures. Happy hiking!
Hey Jake, yeah was a really enjoyable start and fortunate that big storm had cleared by morning. Definitely one of the benefits of this time of year is how much daylight there is. It wasn't getting dark until after 9:30pm and even then the moonlight illuminated so much at night. Hardly had to pull out the head torch for the whole trip!
Good luck for the bushwalk. A few of the regular Aussie commenters on these channels will be probably experiencing their own lockdown in Sydney and surrounds so good wishes to them.
I've been hanging out for this series... yay! It really is a small world isn't it? I bet Mark's got some good stories to tell from his adventures so far! That tent is a bit of eye candy, how did it go first night out on the trail?
Thanks Amy, so glad I'm finally able to get this series underway! I just had so many questions for Mark about his PCT adventure and it's clear that he sees the trip as one of the greatest times of his life and he was so happy to be recounting it with me. Haha, the Altaplex had its first outing. Was great on the first night. Was a really still and mild night so it didn't really get to show what it could stand from the weather. That came later!
Just started watching this series. Im a little envious.
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the series!

Sorry to say this, but theres too much stop and load to watch properly.
Gerard.

Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
Lucky you missed all the rains! Looks like day one was a treat.
Looks like you got to camp with a good amount of light after a 20k day. Nice one :)

Thanks mate and yes, hoping that everyone else around the country is able to avoid what Melbourne and Victoria had to go through. Nobody wants that.
