the ONE time dimple could control mob he used it to save his life and sacrifice himself. what started off as a goofy villain in episode 3, blossomed to a great member of the team😢 LONG LIVE DIMPLE ❤
@@arwenlostlorn6569coz Mob is just that powerful that he can create Entities like ghosts and such just by wishing them, seen that in case of Dragger which was created by people's perception of her
One of my favorite lines in this show was Mob asking Dimple "Why won't you show yourself? Could it be... You're afraid of me?" In any other anime a line like that would be a taunt. A way to goad the enemy into appearing. But you can tell from the background music and Mob's tone that for him it's more of a heartbreaking realization. This is Mob realizing that Dimple kind of expects him to go for the kill. They both know Mob would never kill any of his human friends, no matter what they did to provoke him. Mob has even risked his life to save human enemies before. But Dimple isn't human. And Mob's exorcised plenty of evil spirits. Earlier Teru said it would be ok to destroy Dimple because he isn't a person in the first place. I don't know if he'd actually have gone through with it but the fact that it was on the table at all says a lot. Dimple replied that Teru is right because he's a god instead. I think that's why he wanted to be a god in the first place. It's not about power or status, it's just an escape from being less than a person.
I have been WAITING for this ep reaction for so long!!!! I loved Dimples Arc and his character progression! Made this send off so beautiful. Still cry every time I see it though 😭
@@LuisSierra42whoah NO WAY. . .almost like he said in the comment "i was waiting for this episode" implied he already finished the series but you people just cant stop putting spoilers in comments
Did u realize in the OVA and S2 finale, they showed that they carry people by psychic powers, but Dimple (even in his god form, strongest form) still choose to carry Mob by piggyback ride
What a great episode. Dimple is around for so long, we can't even think about him not being there, and they had him go in a perfect way. That final scene of Mob realising is heartbreaking. I was so ready for an Ange tear! I still can't believe i haven't seen one, even after series like Vinland and Fullmetal, but I'm hoping a series you're watching right now will finally bring it out
Some people just don’t get emotional like that. They can feel the weight of certain things and be truly sad about it, but the emotions won’t come out as tears. Not sure if you’ve watched Nikki & Steven, but they’re reactors and Steven has literally never cried or even teared up on any of the shows they’ve watched. And they’ve reacted to ALOT of shows
for such a short series it’s so goddamn beautiful the author is 3 for 3 so far in popular anime and also story telling One Punch Man, Mob Psycho and potentially Versus
I remember the first time I watched this, I was seriously ugly crying and I was absolutely feeling devastated 😂 Dimple and Mob have always been my fave characters and I love their dynamic so much cause I think Mob gets guidance from Dimple that Reigen can't give. I was so sad that I started to search for spoilers hoping I could get some answers 😂
I love all the godly/divine imagery in this episode. When he offers his hand to lift Mob up (Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel), Dimple sacrificing himself for the good of everyone else, the tree ascending to the sky, the way Mob tells everyone to "go home" as if saying “Mass is ended; go in peace” If you think about it, Dimple's wish came true.
Considering Dimple and Shigeo are my favorite two characters of the series, this episode hurt so damn much. I absolutely love the special ending song for this episode. It's called Exist by the glorious Mob Choir.
Since you guys started season 3 , I´ve been waiting for this episode, for me the music where dimple dies is the best part of it, love everything about this episode, and of course, love the best reactors imo, thank you so much. Oh also I loved how you guys immediately catch that dimple wanted mob to see him in his normal form , a lot of reactors didn´t catch that, simply you are the best hhahahaha
There's a fair bit of irony with Dimple's death. The broccoli would have been a problem whether or not he sucked up that energy. However, Dimple said it took in his feelings too. It took in his hunger and need for power, and copied it. It wouldn't have been nearly as aggressive were it not for Dimple. In other words, Dimple fought against his previous self, quite literally. It was only ever going to be a stalemate, his godlike power vs another of the same level. However, Dimple was willing to sacrifice himself to take the broccoli with him to save Mob. In effect, the old Dimple was slain by the new Dimple, because he cared about Mob enough to do so. In a worst case scenario, Mob would have been killed by Dimple's previous self and feelings and Dimple wouldn't have even been the one to achieve his dream of godlike power in the end if the Broccoli lived it in his stead. In a way, it implies that absolute power he wanted so badly would never let Dimple be truly happy as it'd act on him rather than the other around. If Dimple had simply remained who he used to be, he wouldn't have died because Mob would have. If he actually went through with his betrayal, he may have actually succeeded here. All he had to do was backstab mob after he threw away his energy... but he couldn't go through with it. Worse still, if he had remained who he used to be, the broccoli may have simply continued to exist as an extension of himself. If Mob hadn't thrown away his energy, Mob definitely would have handled that broccoli just fine. However, Dimple would have died without his character arc because Mob wouldn't have gotten to talk to him properly. This was the only way it could end.
Dimple is easily in my top 5 most memorable characters of any manga or anime. So much character development without necessarily making it the main focus until when it really mattered. It felt natural and not forced like many do.
I cried too much when I saw this episode. The story already ends in this season and seeing what happened to Dimple-sama was very painful. Btw, nice reaction!
The way I see this episode is that when Dimple relinquished his control over the tree's power, in some way he also left his desire for godhood inside it. So when the tree started fighting back, it was like Dimple was battling his own ambition for the sake of his one and only friend.
Dimple in the beginning came out as an ambitious spirit that wants grand things like being worshipped as god but after getting defeated by mob and using him as a way to survive dimple sticked close to mob but overtime, seeing mob innocence and pure goodness, it kinda rubbed on him and made him undergo some positive change so when he became god dimple, he really didn't feel accomplished and fulfilled like he thought it would be while the time he spent with mob was more meaningful in his life. Maybe the author true motive was to see that true value of life lies in ordinary moments.
Hey Carlie and Ange when you guys going to start watching my hero academia it has 6 seasons fully finished felt you guys will love it and the new season was announced but in production. another recommendation Blue lock anime is another banger 2022. hunter x hunter could easily complete with AOT because how good it gets by every episode and arcs. anyway loving the channel stumbled upon on this channel when you guys had 50k subs what an achievement 150k lets aim for 200k shall we 😇😇😇😇😇

Goodbye Dimple you truly were Mobs friend. You might have fallen back into your "bad habits" but you broke out and redeemed yourself.

Only ONE can create preverted looking naked buff men that are actually likeable. (Puri puri prisoner, dimple, etc)
Dimple was always my favourite character. This episode well and truly solidified that decision.
