who here for school?
So the person who made the German flag was originally a scientist performing chromatography experiments... I see..
Edit: Now that my humor has obviously changed (for the better or worse i dont know) cuz I wrote this when i was a kid, Im rly confused why this got so many likes but hey thanks anyways! Also hope yall doing good tho
AJ Showdown jojo ref?
@@AL0diez yes, this is the finest german science curated Jojo reference
lmao
@@pianosk6112 I wasn’t expecting a jojo ref here lol
ummm..guys it wasnt a jojo ref tho..but now that i look at it , it kinda looks like one
The title should be tutorial of how to draw german flag in easy way
😘😘
😂😂😂
frrr
NOOO! I WAS SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT HAHAHAHA
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤘
Have to respect the guy reading the comments 7 years later
Thank you very much sir
Helped very much
After 9 years, still very valuable for us.❤❤😊
Alternative Title: how to draw a German Flag from waste ink
is it just me or i saw the german flag
Gabrielle lee, its not just u
It’s not just u
I think the marker was made in germany
Lol XD
It's not just u lol
10 years have passed...this video was posted at 2014? Still helpful!❤️
Real
Im doing my physics/chemistry practical today. Lets hope its about chromatography because i finally understand it now! Thank you
True
Your so lucky we don't even get to do practical we just have to write practical questions in exam 😩
Splendid explanation. Simple and to the point. Loved it.
10 years later and still liking comment ❤
Whoa this also happen wen my notebook gets wet hahaha
YOU, SIR, ARE ONE SAVIOUR. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
thank you so much the video was actually very helpfull
When you realize he still reads the comments
Respect👏
Who is here after chemistry's
Online. Class
Thanks, I'm just here cus i didn't know what it was xD
Now you do! Thanks for watching. ☺
You just made me pass my chemistry labbing
Woot woot! 👍
Thank you for this brief and very informative video. Right to the point. Congrats!
Thank you!
im here from my online class aswell
ngl i'm only here for my chemistry homework lol
Hopefully it was helpful 🙂 Good luck with your chem class!
Anyone else here because of their Forensic Science class?
Thank you... i am having my chemistry modal practical today.... 💛❤️💙
Good luck!
@@LabHamster thank u 😍
Even our teacher was stuck explaining this 😅 because in online class she can't explain or show the process. What is there to fear when internet is here. Anyway, thanks!
Yeah same here..
9th grade chemistry portion 😁
Is a wet erase marker the same as a wet erase chalk marker?
Thanks I have to do dis experiment tomorrow so this video will help me.
This helped me soo much. Thanks sir.
really helped me with a project I was struggling with
I needed this for an exam, thanks!
yes i am here for online classes... and to do the experiment for class (ngl the experiment is fascinating and you should definitely try it yourself! :D)
Thank you so much sir ....
I found it very helpful ......
thnx for good expalaning bro🙃
SAME BRO, I THOUGHT ALSO OF GERMANY FLAG BUT WE DON'T KNOW IS IT HAPPENED REALLY
I did this in my science class back in 1996(I was thirteen years old then and I'm thirty eight now) God where has all the time gone.
I can relate to that feeling! 😂
Is anyone here in 2025?
Do you know something I don't know yet? 😜
@NoelPauller Yes, the only thing I know is that there are a lot of ill-minded people around! That's the only change there is today.
thanks......... that really helped me to understand an important point
You're welcome!
Thanks for this, I've been struggling to get my head round the idea but this explained it perfectly
Thank you for watching and sharing the nice compliment. I'm glad the video was helpful. :-)
Thank you so much! The video was very helpful! :D
I'm glad it helped, thanks for watching!
Thank you, this is helped me a lot for exams. And I love that you are still active in comments even after years of uploading this.
Glad it was helpful. Good luck on your exams!
10 years ago; just taught me smth my teacher failed (with 100min) in less than 3 min
Is he still liking the comments after 9 years ?? Liked the vid though
I appreciate a view today just as much as one from 9 years ago, so yeah... 👍
@@LabHamster thanks man the video cleared the picture
CLICKBAIT UNSUBBED AND DISLIKED
JK Mr. Pauller ur a cool dude
Mr. Pauller, your voice is so smooth!
Thank u so much for this video!!
We all just have the definition but this makes me understand everything ❤️🙏👍
Me too came here from my online chemistry class lol XD
Thanks for watching. Check out some of my other experiments using this link: ua-cam.com/video/ZCzgQXGz9Tg/v-deo.html Be sure to subscribe to receive updates about new videos as I post them.
Wonderful Video! Helped in clearing a lot of doubts :))
it's online class and I'm too lazy to do the experiment but I need to answer my teacher's question about it so here I am.
I am teaching my students after demonstrate this experiment with them. TYSM ☺️
I hope your students enjoyed the experiment😀
what are the methods or ways of separating plant pigments?? only TLC and paper chromatography ?? please I need help
Hello again, just to clarify for my experiment I am using ethanol as the solvent and 5 metal chlorides as solutes. Now, my aim for my experiment is to identify some properties of the metals through the comparison of the Rf value. However, I do not know how to find certain properties of the metal through paper chromatography. Is there by any chance you can have a look at this problem? (ps. the only property that I found out to find, was the melting point...this is done through calculating the solubility and using a chart to show the BP of the metal)
I haven't performed this experiment, so I'm not sure what exactly your instructor is expecting of you.
@@LabHamster Ok thank you, but I have another question (sorry for asking so much), if I have metal chlorides as my solutes and I have ethanol as my solvent...how much time do you think I should time my experiment for???
I found a procedure which looks like it might be similar to what you are trying to do. It suggests 75-90 minutes. chem.libretexts.org/Ancillary_Materials/Laboratory_Experiments/Wet_Lab_Experiments/General_Chemistry_Labs/Online_Chemistry_Lab_Manual/Chem_11_Experiments/03%3A_Paper_Chromatography-_Separation_and_Identification_of_Five_Metal_Cations_(Experiment)
@@LabHamster Do you know by any chance f the Rf value will change if I changed the alchahol percentage for ethanol for each metal?
@@User-ts8xr Not sure. Sounds like a good exp! Let me know how it turns out. ☺
thanks this helped me understand much more good job!
I have to do one today, hope I get a Chromatograph!!
are light cours separate separate in the bottom and dark colours separate at the top?
This video is carrying me in my grade 11 chemistry class today, thank you!
Have to appreciate the person reading the comments 9 years later and liking ot... This explanation made studing easier for me when my exam is the next day
This is awesome, thank you!
Im here for 6th grade science
It's a very helpful vedio..
I really understood it
Me: Not able to understand in class because maam didnt show a video.
Me after a while: Finds this.
Then Me: Happy Noises :)
TYSM really made me understand
I happy this was helpful! 😀
Where exactly do you measure each color? Where they start, stop, or in the middle?
I teach students to measure the distance from where the pigment starts to the highest point it reaches.
I did this experiment but it did not happen I don't know what the mistake I had done 😑😔
Did you use a permanent marker by accident? A wet erase/water soluble marker is needed for the exp to work.
thank you this really helped me to understand paper chromatography
Thank you, it really helped.
I am here for inline class 😂😂 lol
Thanks, so much
cuz of this experiment I now understand chromatography
What would be the 5 steps before measuring in this experiment?
Excellent, Thank you so much
very very thanks..to u..
short video but clear concept..
i think the main difference in properties can be summarised as the difference in adsorption on the paper. the component more adsorbent is left below while less adsorbent components travel up with the solvent :)
I am here from online class Xd
Thank you
I aced my exam due to this video🙂
That is awesome! 👍
thank you... this video helped me in understanding paper chromatography
Ahhaahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahhaha now I understand
Sir u r the best chemistry teacher in the world
My daughter can't understand anything'😔😔😔
Veru helpful!! Thanks ❤

I am here from online class
i am at school rn
had to do this and watch this video
omg so simple and love the way😊
Can we use a glass instead of beaker
Yes!
Noel Pauller thanks
ten years and it helps a LOT for my chemistry, thanks!
So mixing coloured liquids together, for example food colouring, is a physical change?
+Rainbow Unicorns Mixing different types of food coloring together will not produce a chemical reaction, so this is an example of a physical change. Check out this video ua-cam.com/video/LMlCF-cY3ZU/v-deo.html for an experiment dedicated to identifying lots of examples of chemical and physical changes.
So does this require a particular type of paper or will printer paper do?
Also, when we put the paper in water is the ink suppose to be in contact with the water too?
Printer paper is less absorbent and will not work as well. The ink line should be slightly above the water level, not touching the water.
@@LabHamster thank you so much. I need to do this for a chemistry activity.
@@saroj45564 You're welcome. ☺
we did this experiment in science class it happens a bit slower but its very cool to watch and make different designs with
+star deja Thanks for checking out the video. I thought putting the time lapse into the video would be helpful for students to give them a different perspective of what is happening in the experiment.
Its been 10 years and you are still hearting comments!!!!

By the way this video helped a lot, tommorow is my practical and now i am prepared.
