I could NEVER hold a spider of ANY size. As soon as i lay eyes on one, I'm GONE the other direction faster than you can blink. I have jumped over people, out windows, and out of moving cars. I have ripped my shirt off in public, thrown potted flowers, and ran naked and soapy from the bathroom. I have cried and screamed bloody murder. it would be nice to NOT do stuff like that. (SIGH)
Blu Skai get some help, I have done. If it effects your life then see someone local to you - like a "Hypnotherapist" NOT all hypnotherapy is expensive, do some research, I did & it's the best £50 per session (not per hour) I ever spent because it gave me back control & I'm "working class" but I'm disabled & can't work but it's about saving up, prioritizing your money & getting your life back! I really hope u find help as anxiety is awful & crippling as u probably know. Best wishes on your recovery of your phobia, I know that you can do this 🤗👍
I'm arachnaphobic much to the annoyance of my dad - he reckons that if I can control a horse then I can get over my fear of spiders which is rich coming form someone who is scared of snakes & of water
Everyone has a fear of something, if it's serious it can truly be devastating. Bless the therapists who are committed to really helping people combat their debilitating fears.
I'm OK with the first 2 (as long as the crickets didn't jump), but that spider - NO WAY! It's the way they move and crawl about n run at you or ON you! It's making me sweat and my skin crawl just watching the video!
Gumpie Gump we don'e a fear thing in tec I knew I'm ascared of spiders so there was a Mexican bullfrog in a snake and spider the frog n the bullfrog I had no problem with but when the tarantula came in I wanted to run away but couldn't as my legs were froze with fear and couldn't move there was a guy in my class more afraid of spiders than me I said to him if he could hold it then I will cus I hated them too as soon as he held it I was like frig ok I'll hold it but hold my hand underneath cus if this spider moves it's going for trip lol it didn't move and it still hasn't made my phobia disappear I'm still afraid of spiders lol and we weren't even put under like Jeremy was
catherinerg1 when me and my brothers were little our mum taught us "if you see a spider, you go AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH n dad will come and squash it" so all 3 of us kids hate spiders lol. When my mum was little (bout 8) her stepmother and the stepmothers sister used to put spiders in mums hair to scare her, so her fear is so ingrained I don't think there's any type of phobia thing she could do to get rid of it. I've seen her wet her pants out of fear, as a grown 40+ woman, when there's been a spider on her and they were just little ones. If she has a spider in her house, she will ring me or my husband (if dad's not home) n we have to go around to her house and kill it for her, otherwise she would sit on top of the kitchen bench/table with a can of fly spray until she could work up the courage to drown it in spray. She'd sleep there before putting her feet on the ground and risk that spider running at her!
American here. I really admire the way the United Kingdom handles things like phobias and mental illness. We could really use something like The Speakmans here in the states. This type of show would definitely help diminish the stigmas around these topics.
Jeremy is getting applauded for handling these bugs and the snake when most Australian kids just do it all the time no problem. I've been catching my own spiders since I was 7.
You're talking about people who came from here. I.E. Aboriginals and what not. I as a white person, don't wrangle spiders like an old western. I hate spiders. Daddy Long Legs I will kill on sight and saturate them with bug spray. I don't care. I want 'em dead!
I've actually touched and pet a snake before. It was at a zoo during a school field trip. I can say that it's probably not what you expect snake scales to feel like. It felt like moist, glossy skin. You could rub your fingers on it as it were smooth marble with no rough edges, but it flexes. And you get a sort of "living" feeling on your fingers. Not warm like human skin, but alive.
When the spider was introduced my whole body began to itch & my skin still feels like it's crawling. My body goes numb at the sight of a spider. I have a HUGE fear of them. I remember that I had a dream about them & I woke up screaming to get them off of me. I can't even watch that movie from the 90's (I believe) called Arachniphobia. The one where a whole barn was infested with them. So I applaud 👏 Jeremy Kyle for holding that spider. There is absolutely no way I could ever do that.
FUCK THAT SPIDER WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I DO NOT BLAME JEREMY KYLE FOR BEING SCARED. I HAVE WOULD BEEN CRYING MY EYES OUT ALL THE WHILE SCREAMING BLOODY FUCKING MURDER. JEREMY KYLE I SIDE WITH YOU IN TERMS OF THE SPIDER.
I KNOW! IT'S SO F-ING BIG! I ALMOST VOMITED! OH GOSH WHY!??!! THE OTHER DAY A SPIDER WAS IN MY BATHROOM AND I FELL BACKWARDS INTO MY ROOM AND MY MOM SAYS "OH IT'S NOT THAT BIG" AND I'M LIKE "WOMAN JUST GET THIS THING OUT OF MY HOUSE OK" IT WAS LIKE THE SIZE OF A QUARTER!!!!!

ScottieGirl20 Not the U.K. Version of it, no. Because one of the places the U.K. uses is right here in Australia... we have Huntsmens the size of dinner plates, Funnel webs which are human-aggressive and deadly along with the Eastern Brown Snake... which is one of the most venomous snake in the world.
Those crickets were chirping like crazy!! Lol. Anyway I’m sure that was a Chilean Rose Spider and a male by the looks of things. If I’m wrong tell me lol
I remember coming home shit faced one night about 10 years ago (while living in Australia) and finding a huntsman half the size of a dinner plate on the back of my front door... screamed my head off and my elderly neighbour came running thinking something happened. Glad they arent posioness

I've managed to pretty much overcome my fear of spiders. However, my husband, who served in the Army for 15 years and saw years of combat makes ME deal with spiders. I have a pet snake and have helped many people if not overcome their fears, at least to touch a snake. My mom is scared of snakes but even she has made peace with my snake.
lol, yeah my bf makes me deal with the creepy crawlies. I've never touched a snake tho and I'd love to, and I've got to admit when one of the cat's mice ran over my foot, once, I did jump and scream - the feet were very cold.
I don't really mind anything as long as it isn't possible for it to kill a human with venom. If it does have venom, but it can't kill a human, I'm totally cool with it. Doesn't really matter if it can bite or sting, as long as it can't kill.
Aww poor Jeremy... He's tough as nails on some of his guests and the spider comes out and he's quiet as a mouse and on the other side of the room... Something sweet about him when he's like that, I dunno what it is but seeing him so shy when he's usually so confident is a whole new side to him and it's weirdly adorable seeing him so different to his usual self...
I have the same fear as Jeremy on a slightly more severe level. I can handle snakes and mice and such but any sort of bug or spider I can’t deal with it. People always tell me to get over it but I only got 5 minutes in to the video and thought I would vomit.
Human names for animals are great I reckon... I knew someone with a cat called Harold and another named Michael lol... Michael had many names because he belonged to every unit in a block of flats and he was huge too hahah (not account holder commenting here..)
