I love the concept of marriage in this game. If you know there’s an old myth in Greece that once all humans were combined with our soul mates. We have 2 heads, 4 arms and 4 legs. However we were always happy and wanted for naught which made the gods furious so they separated us so that we are constantly searching for our other half. I feel as though this mechanic is based off that myth yet I haven’t seen any videos discussing that
a lil bit of tip here (spoiler) . . . . . there is benefit to killing the cave mother that is because of her gnome eggs which you can harvest off her body 6 times after killing her the eggs can be use as a feed for the salmon snake why exactly do you wanna kill it? well gather around kids because this guy got the best accessory feeding the salmon snake the gnome eggs stop the salmon snake from attacking you for a few short turns so its best to give it the egg every other turn or continuously give it the egg and have your companions kill it for you now for the accessory if you have a soul stone lying around use that on the salmon snake's corpse and there you have the salmonsnake soul which is an accessory that prevents limb loss (only works in combat) every minor boss in fear hunger have a soul that work as an accessory this applies to the iron shakespeare and crow mauler so for the people who sees this and plan to play the game keep this in mind
Ending spoilers: What’s the most crazy part for me in this game is that even the best endings have drawbacks. In all the standard endings you either die, leave with severe ptsd or die with severe ptsd. The best endings even have their own downsides too. Darce has gone mad loving the new *legard*, cahara is now a very very wealthy man but suffers endless ptsd etc. the only best endings is that enki basically surpasses newgodhood and brings a new better age to the world while ragnivaldr becomes the doom slayer of his time and vows and succeeds to slaughter all the horrors the world has to offer, leaving most beasts as nothing but fairy tales
Fun fact: Miro (developer of FaH and FaH 2 termina) created this scary, grotesque, unimaginable, horrors... And yet Miro is scared just from a pile of white T shirts... :) Edit: Miro had developed this phobia when he was a kid, It started in an Art exhibit when he saw a big pile of shirts. That game is sprawling with how much can happen. (Also Olivia is best MC and needs to be licensed for a RE Mercenaries character)

Came down here to say this. There is a guaranteed Book of Enlightenment near the level seven ritual circle as well as one in an easy to miss room south of the library in Ma’havre next to the merchant. As well as one t from Pocketcat if you are desperate. Also pretty likely to get one from random bookshelves. There is also a way to get a save bed in several areas of the dungeon without the coin flip.
Absolutely love this game and I love seeing people’s first experiences I mostly play enki for necromancy and black orb (I could just kill him but I don’t feel like it) I love the combat system And I like how some battles feel like more of a puzzle than a fight such as the guard 10:01 should have used a lucky coin 23:01 the trickster god is named Rher and typo? I love the salmon snake and cave mother fights because if you beat one the other will be easier or less risky If you kill cave mother first you get the gnome eggs to distract the salmon snake to get free hits and get rid of the eye and if you kill salmon snake first his soul will protect you from losing limbs from cavemother

the coin flip is the last "you fucked up this is your last chance" mechanic. The reason you get a coin flip while sleeping is because you did not clear the floor for example.
By the way, taking out the arms of the nameless figure before fighting the old guardian will cause the arms of the old guardian to... disappear. I'm not kidding.
@@BlueLad98 Another thing is that if you press enter on the left pillar beside the front entrance, you can get 2 party members regardless of difficulty. VERY useful when getting Enki's S ending

Actually, there is a benefit to killing a cavemother, you can steal eggs from a specific tile in her body which can be used with the talk option to trivialize the salmonsnake fight! still great video you gained yourself a subscriber!
absolutely loved the video but didn’t like the lack of enki. everyone came to the dungeon looking for le’garde all for different reasons and enki was no different. the nightmare within ma’habre reveals the reason why. i was surprised that enki was glossed over so much considering he has the closest connection to the old gods and his skin bibles in termina, making his ending canon within the universe. additionally, there were some other details i don’t think were covered. nilvan, the endless one, believed in the endless potential of humanity but knew her time was running out (bc new gods only serve for 10 years), therefore she had the girl who only knew cruelty and wld become the god of fear&hunger. she wld force humanity to persevere above despair (the cruel age). so in a way, nilvan got what she wanted. i also, personally, think that rher (the moon god) had his servants (pocket cat and lady of the moon) kidnap children not to take away sacrifices from other old gods (considering the old gods have abandoned humanity but their influence still exists) but to prevent ascended gods like all-mer and god of f&h from happening. there’s a lot to analyze and say abt the lore of f&h and i highly encourage everyone to seek out any lore videos or come up with your own interpretations. I realize that this video is more abt the survival horror-ness but i also think knowing the lore contextualizes the horror and the bleakness of surviving it.
YEah my bad I could have gone faaaar more in-depth on details and stuff, something I won't forget to do for my Termina video! for that one I plan to cover the game far more in-depth and include way more of the lore, for this video my focus was more centered on the gameplay as oppossed to the story & lore to be honest :)

this really feels like Darkest Dungeon, the losses make you yearn for another run to save the day next time with the correct escape plan or the right guess during a coin flip... Gotta try it. got it for 8$ during the steam sale, but haven't finished Darkest dungeon, got to the last dungeon with 38 or so achievements but cannot finish it....
38:34 you can use a red dart on his torso, also pyromancy trick which will deal lots of damage on his torso every turn, whill will really help in defeating him.
40:49 You missed quite a few important details here, you also need the cube of the depths alongside the eclipse talisman to recruit Nash'rah as well as Nash'rah being completely immortal.

absolutely loved the video but didn’t like the lack of enki. everyone came to the dungeon looking for le’garde all for different reasons and enki was no different. the nightmare within ma’habre reveals the reason why. i was surprised that enki was glossed over so much considering he has the closest connection to the old gods and his skin bibles in termina, making his ending canon within the universe.
additionally, there were some other details i don’t think were covered. nilvan, the endless one, believed in the endless potential of humanity but knew her time was running out (bc new gods only serve for 10 years), therefore she had the girl who only knew cruelty and wld become the god of fear&hunger. she wld force humanity to persevere above despair (the cruel age). so in a way, nilvan got what she wanted. i also, personally, think that rher (the moon god) had his servants (pocket cat and lady of the moon) kidnap children not to take away sacrifices from other old gods (considering the old gods have abandoned humanity but their influence still exists) but to prevent ascended gods like all-mer and god of f&h from happening.
there’s a lot to analyze and say abt the lore of f&h and i highly encourage everyone to seek out any lore videos or come up with your own interpretations. I realize that this video is more abt the survival horror-ness but i also think knowing the lore contextualizes the horror and the bleakness of surviving it.
YEah my bad I could have gone faaaar more in-depth on details and stuff, something I won't forget to do for my Termina video! for that one I plan to cover the game far more in-depth and include way more of the lore, for this video my focus was more centered on the gameplay as oppossed to the story & lore to be honest :)

this really feels like Darkest Dungeon, the losses make you yearn for another run to save the day next time with the correct escape plan or the right guess during a coin flip... Gotta try it. got it for 8$ during the steam sale, but haven't finished Darkest dungeon, got to the last dungeon with 38 or so achievements but cannot finish it....
Funger is easier to finish but it just leaves a large imprint during the journey of the game
