OP SORCADIN Paladin / Sorcerer Build Guide Baldur's Gate 3

This is an extremely strong multiclass build in Baldur's Gate 3. The sorcadin is a Paladin / Sorcerer hybrid that can do a bit of everything but is mostly damage output. Paladins have pretty good survivability and sorcerers have a lot of offensive potential and combining both of these makes a truly unique multiclass combination. I think that the sorcerer is one of the best classes in the entire game as it has access to a lot of great spells and it can cast 2 spells per turn giving it incredible amounts of versatility in a team. I prefer an 8 paladin 4 sorcerer split for the feats and you only really care about more smite slots anyway and the damage stops increasing with lv4 smite anyway. Leaving haste,fireball to the wizard. Our job is single target smite damage and control. So smite the big thing and hold person the small humans.

Is there a build anywhere for a githyanki dex based Sorcadin? Im about to start my first run and heard they have unique dialog and items !

The biggest issue with multiclassing paladin is that you lose out on improves divine smite in the late game for the big smashy nuke damage

That's not really an issue with sorcadin. The main point of it is the massive smites you can get on the 4th and 5th level spell slots, and that's on top of other powerful features like creating spell slots, Quickened fireball and Twinned haste.

Great points from both of you, thank you for commenting! Paladin level 12 just ends up being weaker than Paladin 5 / Sorcerer 7 or Paladin 5 / Warlock 7 from my experience! I personally think Paladin/Warlock is better but both are fantastic multiclass builds

​@@ralphyarl7346smites cap out on damage at 4th level so unless you're hitting something weak to radiant like undead then the spell slots don't matter with 4 and 5

Dexterity only helps you hit at range or with finesse weapons btw.. so Dex only helps ac or checks really

Dexterity also gives you more initiative which is super important!
