Yeah, this was a no-brainer. I can't get over that scene in Season 2 Episode 4 when he hugs Shiv and begins to break down. It was so emotionally intense I genuinely felt for him. It felt so real. I almost cried (and I almost never do). An actor that makes his audience feel the emotion is a true artist. He's brilliant.
His acting in the season final of season one was unbelievable; the last 15 mins of that performance/episode was incredible! He was just as good in scenes of season two, but that ending of season one still takes the cake for me! Well deserved!

It was between Strong and Cox. And I feel because of Strong's extremely nuanced and restrained performance, he deserved to win. Succession is the best show since Breaking Bad ended, without a doubt. I love Better Call Saul, but, Succession, currently stands on top for me.
I feel the same way. I am only on season two episode four right now, but boy did I see the change in his character after the car accident . He was like a different person after that. He went from a normal human to a zombie like character. Such good acting. Bravo.

Someone's talent is not dependent on the technique they choose to enforce their skill with.

Jeremy's performance is to me the best leading acting performance in a drama since the best seasons of Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad. I LOVE Man Men and Ozark also but he was even better than peak Jon Hamm and Jason Bateman in their respective shows.

I just re-watched the season 2 finale of Succession, Jeremy Strong was electrifying in his performance. That phenomenal last scene alone earns him the Emmy, but he was terrific in the episode even before that, his last scene with Naomi just before she leaves the cruise ship being a particular highlight.
When I started watching Succession, I didnt know Jeremy strong. But I was in awe how convincing his acting was and thought this guy really go places. Well deserved bud.

Truly unique actor. I can't sing enough praise for his performance as Kendall. How he has managed to just get BETTER each season is mind-blowing. I thought he even surpassed this Emmy win with his Season 3. performance, which I did not think possible.
You can hear the cheer in another room when the man in a hazmat suit knocks on the door with the Emmy and gives to his wife who then passes to him. He actually looks better out of character.

Wait till Season 3 is out because you don't wanna be tortured like I am right now in the sheer, amazing epicness of Season 2's cliffhanger. About to finish season 1. The first two episodes were a chore; it was good...but just a quiet, multi-character study, and then it just starts to transform into this addictive and dark power struggle with so many well-written scenes. The characters are not very likable...but that's what makes it so great, nobody is spared with the brilliant writers. Brian Cox gets all the hype for the show but Jeremy Strong is just amazing.
