    The dudley scene completely broke me, tears streaming down my face, it over shadowed nell and their dads goodbye scenes. For two characters with less screen time, they completely connected with the audience, we felt this ending, that's testament to the actors. It's sort of awkward voyeur, when we see then find abigail on the floor of the red room, the camera is at a weird angle, like we are looking over a shoulder, accidentally privy to it, like we don't see the events that lead up to Mr dudley carrying his wife, and there's minimal descriptive dialogue. But we, at least I, was moved by this so much more than the main cast. I feel bad now that Mr dudley is on his own when he's not at the house now. This series is absolutely amazing, the best thing netflix has done!! The ending is mostly not expected. Really strong performances from all involved. I haven't cried in years. Bless the dudleys

    Hill House shattered me in the most beautiful way. To me, Dudley bringing his wife there to die and saying "we're home" is a great metaphor for "home" being our people. Home is the people we chose to spend our lives with, the people we hold on for, the people we turn to in order to remember exactly how strong we can be. The people worth living for. Must be magical, experiencing that kind of love and to have a love that goes both ways too. Absolute reality is where I'm at right now and this world is slowly digesting me...

    It's been a while, but I do remember during one Halloween deciding to watch this series. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. I had a blast when I watched the show for the first time. It had effective scares, good arcs and development for each of the characters involved and a wholesome and satisfying ending. Also, I just want to outright say, next to Jordan Peele, I do believe another master of modern-day horror is without a doubt, Mike Flanagan, aka the creator of this show. I say that, because while I have currently only have seen two projects from him, this show and The Haunting of Bly Manor, based on these two shows alone, I can tell this guy clearly has talent within the realm of horror. It also makes me all the more excited to see the other projects he has done within the horror genre.

    so poetic and powerful serie. Pretty fresh for the standars of horror stuff.

    While it’s not a perfect ending as there are still some questions left unanswered (as is the case with the original novel), I was and still am amazed that after all the ghosts and jump scares and edginess, they managed to transition seamlessly from 9.9 episodes of horror and gore and tragedy to an actually uplifting ending without it feeling out of place. I wasn’t expecting the House to just pick them all off one by one in the final episode or something, but I was expecting more of a “neutral” ending, where they make it out alive and the ghosts and mysteries are put to rest, but the trauma and grief of their experiences still remains with them forever. I’m glad the Crains got their happy ending though; after everything they went through they definitely deserved it.

    I’m going to end up watching this show for the fourth time. It really has an hold over me especially Nell. What happened to her always bother me because it just sad how she didn’t get her happy ending. Kinda remind me of myself especially when she said “I was standing here the whole time and none of you saw me” when I died or even now, one of my fears is for people to forget me. It makes me sad to feel forgotten like I don’t exist/not around and then with her and Arthur, to have him comfort her and night terrors and still love her and married. That’s something I want, that’s someone I want to be married to. But i hope that it won’t end short. Death can happened at any time from car accident to heart attack to any and it was so sad when Arthur because he was making her so happy and it felt like she going to live an good life. Anyway, I loved hill house so much and it was so different from my expectations. It was more than horror despite that one major jump scare between Theo, Shirley, and passed Nellie in between the car…the show was emotional and it was beautiful 🤍🤍🤍🤍

      Actually if you're worried one will overshadow the other, don't. The 2 seasons are 2 very different themes and stand very well on their own, not in competition. I'd highly recommend watching should you change your mind

    In episode 10, Poppy Hill recites a poem to Hugh Crain about how a person (male) killed the Gratton family.
    Who was these Grattons ? Did they live in the house earlier ? Who murdered them ?

    • @ejaakawd4665
      @ejaakawd4665 4 роки тому +4

      The poem is from the book, but it doesn't have anything to do with the house. It's about the murder of the Wrattan family from 1893, just a folk song the author included.
