Here you will see the beautiful, wild, buckskin tobiano mustang stallion named Traveler as he leads and watches over his small wild band of horses. He lives near the McCullough Peaks in Wyoming, along with almost 170 other wild mustangs. See as he joins the large herd with his small band with a pinto mare, yearling colt, Magic and weanling colt, Merlin. Magic and Merlin keep running off to make new friends and Traveler has to keep bringing them back and protecting them from other band stallions. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
I just came across your channel and I'm in awe! Being a life long horse owner I've watched MANY mustang videos. None compare to scenes you're able to capture. Thank you for sharing your gift and the amazing animals you film so beautifully.
Thank you so much Beth! I too have been a horse lover my whole life. The wild horses have captured my heart and I enjoy being with them and capturing those special moments in my videos and photography.
Beautiful animals 🥰
What a wonderful step back in time for me, I used to live in Powell and spent many a day in the McCullough peaks area enjoying nature.
How awesome for you! It's a beautiful place.
How beautiful and amazing!! What a wonderful thing to witness.. God's beauty and wonder.
I believe the wild horses are close to the heart of God. He created them with such beauty!
That traveler is truly magnificent. Thank you for sharing him with us
Thank you for the gift of showing us Mustangs where they live in a level of freedom!
Thanks for watching!
Traveler is a beautiful horse and a fantastic protector of his family! I love wild horses!!🐎
Yes, he is an amazing and magnificent stallion!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you Julie!
So beautiful, thank you for sharing. I think it would be even better without the music.
Thank you for the feed back!
What magnificence! Traveler has such a gorgeous head…running wild and free….brought tears to my eyes❤
He seems to have that affect on most of us! :)
Nice to see free horses 🐎
Yes it is! I hope they can stay this way.
Very nice horses 🇹🇩🐎🖐️🕳️🌟
Thank you for sharing this amazing experience with us 💛
Look at all o that open land.
It's beautiful there!

As an invasive species do these horses need any special management in this region? To what extent does predation control their numbers?
The only predation is done by man.
@@karenkingart Shamefully artificial. Wolves used to prey on buffalo, with them gone I guess a wolf pack is no match for a horse herd.
@@28704joe To my knowledge there are no wolves in Wyoming.
Всем табунам табун красивее не видел порода коней интересно какая мустанги или что
Yes, they are all very beautiful!
There are no wild horses . Most are escaped from ranches and are thus ferrel. The only truly wild horses are in a small herd in Asia or in zoos. The e horses mentioned are very inbred. There are now so many that the range that would support antelope and deer is badly damaged and the native species are declining.
What a gorgeous herd! That Traveler should be made into a Breyer model...100%! What a beauty!
Yes, he could definitely be a Breyer horse! He is so magnificent in person!
Yes, he should.
Definitely!
I love the way he holds his head so proud.
What a magnificent stallion! I've never seen such a well-muscled, great conformation and beautiful head on a Mustang! And they all look very healthy which is not like pictures often seen of mustangs. Thank you so much. Beautiful footage!!
I agree! What a handsome stallion! And the condition of the mustangs was very good. I always thought they were small, scrubby and underweight, but they all look great.
I had the privilege to ride with George Barrier out into the Nevada high desert on my domestic Morgan Mare. My mare performed perfectly side stepping the many volcanic stones to reach Shin Mt. where we encountered a small band of native horses. The stallion came down from his high perch to check us out and our horses were relaxed. I saw beautiful wild horses who looked liked they were well taken care of. This was in the Fall.
Most of the wild horses are very healthy and with good weight. It's amazing how they survive in the high desert. Sounds like you had a wonderful experience!
@@karenkingart You and I know horses wild or domestic are a spiritual experience for us to be amazed by.
What a wonderful experience
@@elizabethhauck2495 Yes, it was a great experience!
Watching your video made my day! Everything else aside this is what's beautiful on our planet! Love watching equine behavior in its purest form! Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Remarkable horses and footage! What a treat to be able to experience a little bit of the herd's life! Thanks! 🙂
Yes, it was such an amazing time with the herd!
Hi Doria
True Peace, True Freedom
The crickets, the birds, the backdrop & finally the Beautiful, Breathtaking horses. I am in awe!
Thank you. Just lost my Mom. I needed this!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad the horses could help in your time of sorrow.
@Karen King you are so kind. I had wonderful parents. I bought a Palmino mare from Kansas when I was 15. My Mom recently recounted that no matter where in the pasture she was, she'd come running when she heard my calling to her. Memories, it sustains us! I subscribed. I'll be watching.....

Wowee. Makes me want to cry. Absolutely dreamy. ( says the 5th grade teacher, checking work after school, and living someone else’s life while stuck in L.A. 😉)
Absolutely beautiful stallion, and that proud prance…. They are living the life they are supposed to, wild and free.
There was so much peace and harmony in this big herd one year ago ❤
Wow a a site to say the magic of freedom and wisdom ❤️love this
Thank you!
Wow! Beautiful horses and filming. Traveler IS magnificent (btw he wasn’t the only tricolor out there (unless I’m seeing wrong which is not out of the question)). Thank you for sharing ♥️
You are seeing correctly. I meant to say Traveler is the only trip-colored buckskin in the herd. :)
@@karenkingart :)
Interesting how the stallions almost look like their discussing their issues and rarely come to any serious blows. People could learn from their example.
I agree! Most fights are short lived with no injuries, but if a stallion is trying to take over a band it can get a little ugly.
Definitely on my bucket list this coming summer. 🤠🇺🇸😎
Traveler sure is a beautiful stallion-very lovely video!❤
Thank you!
The music is wrong for this.
Thanks for the feedback. What would you suggest?
Good morning here from Romania I greet you with respect Marius very nice super horses ☀️🇹🇩🖐️
Thank tou for watching! I'm happy to share my wild horses with you!
So enjoyable to just watch the scenery and listen to the insects as well as the drama of the interaction of the horses !
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the crickets and sounds of the horses is what it sounds like when I am there.
The stallions get a lot of exercise! They are magnificent.
Yes, they have their work cut out for them!
On my way to Cody…..I saw this herd…lI always looked forward to seeing them… The black stallion always stood alone…almost like an outcast….The pinto stallion was always dirty from fighting other stallions…So days the pinto could seen in the pond to cool… off!!!
Thank you for posting this. What a treat to see such a beautiful herd. Traveler is so strong and majestic looking. So nice to see them free to be horses.
May they always be free!
So majestic when wild, so shut down when captured that it's a sin.
Could this herd be the bloodlines that produced Picasso of Sand Wash Basin?
I doubt it, Sylvia. Picasso was in Colorado and these are in Cody, WY.

Traveler is magnificent.i love this group of horses.
So beautiful! I tried horse riding last year and fell in love with horses, such intelligent and gentle animals

Very exceptional horse in any breed world.
He is not only beautiful, he commands respect!

Awesome if everyone could see like you do we would be much better off
Enjoy your Day...I'll be around for More...😃 😊
very nice horses 🇹🇩🐎🖐️🕳️🌟
This is a very special video and the horses are stunning. I always thought that wild horses were mostly torn and tattered, until I filmed my first pair in Southwestern Arizona last month. They had beautiful coats and looked very healthy. And this herd is absolutely special in that they have such different and uniquely beautiful coats. And all majestic in their own ways. Thanks for sharing! ❤️ ps Keep doing you, Karen.
Thanks for watching! Most people think the wild horses are skinny and homely. I've found it to be the exact opposite. They are more healthy and beautiful than most domesticated horses and much tougher and smarter.
He’s magnificent. I could spends hours just watching them…
I spent two wonderful weeks with them!
Traveler has the most beautiful pace, his head is stunning, the way he holds his head, he knows he's stunning!!!
Pray all these beautiful paints and colorful horses stay wild and free.Absolutely stunning ❤
These ferrals sure have some colour, wouldnt castrating all but the best lines, lift their genetics and just make their lives so much better?
It seems to me that when man gets involved, things get messed up. Survival of the fittest has helped these wild horses thrive for hundreds of years. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful video! But that other stallion around 2:40 was also a tri-color, wasn’t he?
I meant to say Traveler was the only tri-colored buckskin. Yes, there are other trips-colored horses on the range. :)
There's alot of color in that herd, beautiful.
Such a colorful beautiful herd may they never be rounded up !
Everything is very beautiful, I really like mustangs, are American wild mustangs trained to ride??What are they for driving? And are they on sale? Thanks for earlier
The wild mustangs are wild. They have never been touched by man. Some mustangs are rounded up by the government and can be bought at a government sale. Many become ridden and used for many different reasons. They are better than the domestic horse with stronger hooves and more resistant to disease and worms. They are also very intelligent with survival of the fittest for over 200 years or more.
thank you very much
❤💚❤💚❤💚❤💚👏👏👏
Merci pour ça🖐
I am stunned by their Grace…Magnificent beings…What an honor to view them in nature..Thank You🤝💕
Природа, лошади ! Красотища неимоверная !😃 А жеребцы молодцы яро не дерутся, так демонстративно постояли возле друг друга😊
😊
Can anyone captures these wild horses and what are there strength.
No, only the Bureau of Land Management can round up any horses.
@@karenkingart Here's hoping the BLM stays far away from these families and the herd in general.
@@snoozieq4584 Unfortunately there will be a capture this year. At least they only do bait traps and not helicopters.
@@karenkingart Oh no. They are just going to wind up in the slaughter pipeline because of the disreputable individuals that participate at the "Adoption" events.
I've never seen video before of a mare choosing to be with another herd, part of me wonders if the filly is at all related to or friends with one of the other herd members and wants to reunite with them, but that's hard to tell.
It's funny how some mares prefer one stallion over another. If I was a mare I'd choose Traveler! LOL :)
@@karenkingart I feel like there aren't a lot of good videos of mustangs like this so people like me who want to learn their behavior but can't see them in person don't get to see the reality. Oh btw I wanted to ask if just if the horse whinnying was added in post?
They look really healthy! Beautiful!
Yes, they are!
Your recordings of these magnificent wild beauties are so professional and priceless. Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing. I'd have to just enjoy in total awe watching them in their natural surroundings and do so appreciate your photography
Thank you Marty. I'm so glad you enjoy seeing the wild horses. They are truly amazing and beautiful animals!
Incredibly majestic. Please tell me they are all still running free today.
So far they are all living wild and free.
Just simply Beautiful.❤️
Thank you!

🐴🐎🤠😘🥰😍♥️💞
I'm sorry to say, these are not mustangs. They are faral horses. Mustangs are descendents of the Spanish barb and are not paint horses. The true Spanish barb are usually dun with a dorsal stripe and black stripe marks on the back of the front legs.
Karen the video & story of Traveler was wonderful! Love seeing the interaction of the horses.
Thanks Ruth. The story unfolded as I observed them that day. It was the favor of God!
So beautiful! This is where they belong! Thousands have been rounded up and kept in pens. Many don't survive! They are sold (adopted) and often end up going to slaughter in MX! Ranchers own the BLM! If you care about OUR wild horses stand up for them and donate to organizations that help save them!
You are so right, Connie. Wyoming rounded up 4,000 horses and are looking to round up more. Make sure it is a reputable organization if you decide to donate. There are many scams out there.
Thanks for the beautiful video of the wild horses! I hope these horses will not get rounded up by BLM.
Thank you for sharing!! Beautiful video 📸. Gorgeous horses!!!!
Thank you Kathy!
They are discussing removing these horses, what ashame
If they do remove some horses, it will be around 20.
Beautiful!!!
Thank you Dawn!
Magnificent!!!
Traveler reminds me of Cloud the wild stallion of the Rockies so much. They have the same spirit and personality.
Yes, I agree!
Супер красавцы
Thank you so much for sharing this beauty!!!

Здраствуйте.скажите а их можно обучить к седлу.
Is it a adoption programs from the herds .???
Cool horses I am a pro at riding ponies ❤❤💚
That's great and so beautiful ❤
It’s like he taught himself dressage.
Very nice shoulder assembly.
They really ought to promote his genetics he's so exceptional
Yes, he is exceptional!
@@karenkingart do they sell offspring from him like they gather and sell young ones here?
@@elizabethturner7739 Any horses that are captured go to the BLM holding pens(dirt lots) to be separated by sex and processed (castrated, branded, ). The processing can take up to 2 yrs. before some are released. There are now 70,000 wild horses in holding pens.
@@karenkingart why so long? Here in Oregon weanlings are gathered and adopted out every year
@@elizabethturner7739 Every HMA is different in how they handle the horses.
Thank you for such a beautiful video...
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Beautiful horses, beautiful film. I expect the intermingling of the herds is to prevent excessive interbreeding, & I'm sure Traveler was hoping to find another lady friend to add to his little band. I guess he & the flirty filly didn't hit it off, too bad. It was so interesting to see how the stallions worked out their status without any violent confrontation, they just understood where they were in the pecking order by rearing & pawing. So often the music in YT videos is annoying, but this music was lovely & matched the restful nature of the film. Definitely subscribing for more like this!
General Lee’s horse was named Traveler
God they are all stunning.
lots of Spanish blood in that one..
Thanks ❤❤❤ beautiful vid, and Traveller is extraordinary, beauty, power and full of life 👍
