  • In the planning of long-term projects, it is imperative to integrate considerations related to climate change, given its significant impact on the availability of water resources and the occurrence of extreme precipitation events. The assessment of the frequency and magnitude of extreme precipitation events becomes crucial to anticipate challenges and ensure the resilience of infrastructure.
In this webinar we will present the methodology used to estimate the impact of climate change on extreme precipitation, applied within the framework of a mining project located in Brazil.
Through this approach, the uncertainty of projections of maximum rainfall is properly characterized adopting an adequate value for design and verification of infrastructure, evaluating two climate change scenarios.
This webinar will be of interest to water resources and climate change specialists.
