Hey guys! I've been machining for just over a year now and I love watching your videos. I'm finishing school as an engineering technologist and I currently work at a small manual machining shop. We have a single Doosan CNC and the guy using it retired. My boss knew I had an interest in CNC since I was always talking about it, so they asked me to learn how to use it. Long story short, I had to teach myself alot. Since watching you guys and using the titans academy I've gone from a complete newbie to speeding up their cnc process 10 fold over what the last guy was running the machine at. As a result I got a big pay raise and they couldn't be happier with me. I owe it to you guys and all of the info you put out there for us so even if i don't get the calipers I just wanted to give a massive thank you and I hope this gets to you guys!

I went from not knowing anything about tooling 3 years ago to now being the lead on our turret punch press line and head of the tooling department at our facility. Watching your videos and going through your academy has helped me out a lot. Thanks guys.

I just want to say how excited that I am to see so many people in this comment section that are new to machining. This is what our Country needs is to strengthen our machining capabilities and making sure that we have the knowledgeable workforce for it. I am 36 and I have been working on CNC machines to make Springs since I was 19. I am currently looking to make a move to CNC Mill and/or Lathe machining. Fortunately, I have found Titans of CNC Academy. I am looking forward to learning everything that I can from the Academy. I do not need the calipers because I have my own pair but I think that this is a awesome giveaway! God Bless you Titan!!

Those LNS Quick Load bar feeders are nice! I work with LNS for all of the the lathes I currently run. As mentioned, it's important that barstock is filed on the edges (not everyone does this) and no chips are caught in the draw tube because it will shred those plastic spindle liners.
A trick I do for lining up the holes of spindle liners... I'll put the torx through the hole of the liner, line it up with the screw hole of the draw tube and push the liner in. No need to eye ball the accuracy, the screw will fit in the first time!
Best of luck to all those entering the contest!

@@LNSNorthAmerica I had to share. I've worked with the LNS Eco Load, LNS Quick Load Magazine Bar Feeder, and the Quick Load Servo 80 S2. It was a unique experience working with diverse models dated 1995 (I believe) and on. They've taken on many hours doing high volume production, and are still going strong!
I look forward to learning more about the LNS brand! I wish I knew more about the integration of bar feeder to CNC, awesome stuff (in my opinion.)

This week I made my biggest and tightest tolerance parts for a local underwater ROV company just like Titan always talks about. I'm just proud of myself and thought I'd share, but I wont say no to a set of mitutoyos!

Wife is stay at home mom that home schools the kids. With inflation, I can't afford to buy any new tools and I've always wanted these exact calipers in 6, 8 and 12. Be awesome if I won. Good morning manufacturing family. I’ve been in the trade for 16 years plus my whole high school career. It took me 16 years to make it 2 steps from the top I manage half a company and love every minute of it. I got a GREAT team behind me.
I just want to get this straight, I don’t deserve the calipers. But I have a new guy that started 3 months ago not knowing anything about the manufacturing industry. In 3 months he’s made leaps and bounds he’s becoming a great machinist. He can operate inspect and change tools with out incident. He checks his dimensions in various was to stave off error and complacency. He had an old par of spi calipers that just are not up to the standard.
So titan if there is one young man that deserves a great caliper for working his ass off it’s Ramond.

I love your videos because I truly love what I do and I want to learn absolutely everything I can about this industry and in my opinion no one does it better than y'all. I believe I deserve those calipers because I'm a single father and I work hard every single day to be able to provide my kids with the life I never had. Been a machinist in Dallas/Ft.Worth for about 12 years now. Enjoy watching yalls videos about our industry and also seeing the high end equipment that’s available on our market. Also an ex convict like Titan, did 8 years from when I was 17 to 25, got into the industry and now this chosen career provides for my family and myself. Last reason, and most reasonably the best one….I’m local and don’t have to pay for shipping since I’m 10 minutes down the street. 😂

I’m a 15 year old from BC canada. I do a lot of metalwork in my home shop, making knives and fixing things for my parents. Two years ago, I was looking for somehwere to buy scrap aluminum, and I met a local machinist. He took me to his shop and I worked for a few days with some old tormach 1100 he had there. It was the most inspiring experience of my life up until this point and I have since been working towards the requirements for a mechanical
engineering degree. That aside, I have had a 20 dollar pair of calipers for a year and but now, and I lost them a month ago. They helped me make a lot of relatively precise projects, but having lost them, sets me back a little bit. A pair of mitutoyo calipers would always stay by my side in my future career, and I will always remember the way this channel has helped me find my calling, regardless of if you even see this comment.

I’ve been a senior Maintenance technician for 3 years at a large machine shop. All of the technicians share the same calipers in a series of maintenance tool boxes and let me tell you, some people shouldn’t use them, and/or they are just never there when you need them. I go to school four days a week, working towards my bachelors degree in electrical engineering technology, and work three twelve hour days on the weekend. I also am a father too a one year old, so I watch her whilst my wife is working through the week before trading off with her to go to school in the evening. I could personally use a set of my own, accurate, reliable calipers to carry in my tool bag at work and to use at home for my fab and automotive ventures.

After work I started to learn CAD CAM on Fusion-360 and milled for example a Minion and other fun stuff. The guys in our apprentice workshop and production started to call me the crazy guy because of my speeds and feeds. By watching your videos and seeing what tools can do, I wanted to push our tools as well and it worked. Even some of the older guys were impressed what made me very proud. But in our apprentice workshop we only have cheap Holex Callipers, they like to by them because they are so cheap an many apprentices destroy them. So I'd like to have my own to get even better and work on high standard.

I’ve been machining for about four years now, and went from having zero experience to running parts and measuring well to setting up parts, and then doing program edits in my first shop. I now work in a medical machining shop where we also run car parts, and I’m now the supervisor/programmer. I love this trade and I wanna learn everything about it, I run CNC lathe, mill and Swiss style. Hopefully I can dabble in some grinding and other aspects. My goal is to always learn as much as I can, but one of my bigger goals is to be a pillar for my coworkers to look up to. I want to be someone that people can look up to and strive to try their best every day, because I am in need of someone like that. Thank you guys so much for your videos and keeping this trade alive. I strive to be on all of your levels someday. Thank you guys and God bless.

I've been machining for over 10 years now, and I'm still having a blast. I love the creative process and making parts. I also enjoy pushing myself as a machinist to learn new techniques to improve the processes already established at my company to reduce machine time and increase production. My 8" Mitutoyo calipers have seen better days, as they've been generously "loved" on by myself as other previous machinists (I purchased them second hand). It would be nice to have something new to replace them, making my job easier going forward.

Hello, im a cnc machinist from canada and ive been in the trade for 3 years, ive been making great progress to becoming a good machinist, i took a pre-employment course and hopped straight in the field, its been a wonderful journey, my current employer helped me through alot of the hardest moments in my life including giving me time to visit my brother in the hospital, and after he got out after battling cancer for a year he passed away and my employer helped my with paid leave to attend the funeral and bereavement time for my mourning, ive truely never had a job where the employer has been so kind forgiving and thoughtful, after coming from a bad boss, this has been the best journey of my life so far, my calipers have recently been acting up so these would help me greatly, and make sure i keep making perfect parts fast and efficient.

I don't think I deserve those calipers more then anyone else here but I'd love to have them! I served 4.5 years in the Army as an EOD tech. When I got out of the military I took an entry level cnc mill job and my new career took off from there. I've been machining for about 10 years now. I'm currently working on an associate's degree in machine technology. I work during the day and go to school at night. When I get home I'm helping my wife take care of our beautiful children. I'm exhausted but I'm learning alot and hopefully putting in this extra work will pay off in the long run. Your videos are such an awesome resource for new and experienced machinists. Im graduating college in the next 5 weeks with a degree in Industrial Design with a specialization in manufacturing. I would be honored to receive these calipers because they will enable me to make better, more accurate parts. I mentor a high school robotics team and I am teaching them about how CNC manufacturing can change the way we build our robots. I work for my colleges makerspace and I routinely bring in team members to the space to expose them to these amazing machines that we have and show them that machining is an amazing profession and skill.
I want to inspire the next generation of makers to make chips, hit those tolerances, and gain skills that will set them up for an amazing life. Thank you for doing everything you do! Titans of CNC has changed the way I see design problems and you have given me the desire to make amazing machines and parts for the rest of my life.

Hello! I'm a mechanical engineering student, and I have a passion for machining. I love doing design work and then fabricating the designs. My current pair of calipers is barely able to hold zero, plus or minus 1 thou so needless to say it's difficult to get the level of precision I need sometimes. I love mitutoyo, I've had an opportunity to use their calipers at a job and immediately fell in love. My brother recently aquired a Victor 2473 bed mill from a local guy that was retiring from the trade. The machine had a failed control computer and I took the opportunity to upgrade it to LinuxCNC. I converted the wiring from 3 phase to single phase because we are powering it off grid with a 12kw inverter. The project is not complete as I still need to program the spindle and limit switches but I have the machine following g-code smoothly and accuratly. I dream of being a machinist or a machine programmer as a way to provide for my family. These videos are inspiring and the information is priceless! A big thanks to Titan and the entire team, I would be honored to give that beautiful tool a home here in Kalapana, HI.

When the length of the parts increased we often found that we could get one last part off the bar. This macro program decreased our waste and made lights out machining more efficient.

I am manufacturing complex UAV's and accurate measuring is crucial. Awesome prize and video. Truth is there are probably lots of other people out there who would deserve the calipers more than me. That said I would use them for two things. Professionally I would use them to QC parts and help me with my drawings. I'm just learning CAD and a proper set of calipers would be the backbone of my basic toolset. For fun I like to restore old cars and there are endless measurements that a cheap set of calipers just don't cut it. Just before covid struck I lost my job. Too keep it brief, I've been unemployed since. Last year I decided that things weren't working out. I've been trying to get a new job, but couldn't get one. So, I needed a career change. I eventually came across the term CNC in passing. I later decided to look it up and soon stumbled upon this channel and have been watching since then. Right now I'm studying to become a CNC-operator. I've been studying hard and next week I will get to try and do some light programming on a CNC-machine which I look forward to.
Right now, I don't really have any tools of my own and it will be a long while until that changes. A caliper, escpecially a digital one would go a long way.
