Good that you highlighted the negative terminal issue - not good to get surprise sparks! (ask me how I know!) Good instructional video and good terminal kit. Thanks!
Yeah, I was cringing when you were working on the positive side. I also suggest covering the battery lug you're not working on with something non-conductive, and removing the completed connector from the battery when working on the second one. I'm surprised there were no sparks in the video.. maybe the battery is dead? Good to know those type of replacement lugs exist.. didn't know that!
The battery terminals used can be purchased on Amazon here: amzn.to/35BdJoX
I like those terminals, much better than what used to be available !
What "used" to be available is what the shop used to replace the bad ground terminal on my Marquis........
Pretty nice, eh!
@@motoforlyfe yeah, I know you are a ham radio operator like myself. Do you do HF ? 73 KO8K

Great job on the camera placement! And way to clear up the "negative first..."
I do thank you for the tip on those replacement terminals. I'll be ordering a set of those when I get paid next.
Glad you found the video helpful!
remove negative wire first, install positive wire first.
placed my order I also have a Ranger whose cables look similar if not worse than yours, thank you sir
Really great walk through see I was thinking I was gonna start through the fire and flames job lol
Very clear and concise video. Good job.
I had to do this a few years ago, and I sure wish I could have used terminals like those!
Nice job buddy. I like those terminals you used. Enough of this!
Nuffadis' 😃
Very well said and shown. I appreciate your video. I am doing mines tomorrow once I get them from Amazon

Excellent video was exactly what I wanted know 👍.
just bought one! had corroded cables on positive side. had to cut them back and stretch them to fit to the battery for now.
Hey LDB that battery cleaned up nice
Maybe tin the ends of the cables to prevent corrosion?
Thank you for this video.
how do the clear plastic protectors pop on and off. It says "easy" but I had to fiddle with it quite a bit to get it off/on.
The video is very helpful
Can someone help me 2010 fusion se 3.0 and my battery cable assembly is bad they said I can't use universal cable. Would this really help?
Why only copper shims on the negative terminal? Would something bad happen if both terminals had these shims?
I assume the shims are used only on negative terminal is because the negative terminal is smaller in diameter.
Hey I’m doing a Chrysler 200 2015 with this I hope my sensors work after! They want $400 to replace the terminals at the shop!
Appreciate the tips!
Happy to help!
What engine is in there?
4 liter SOHC
@@motoforlyfe With a supercharger?
Bill, you left off coating those EXPENSIVE terminals with a anti-corrosive .
Right?
SHOULD CONNECT POSITIVE FIRST ALWAYS
9:00 You're supposed to connect the positive side first when installing. 🧐😧
does it even matter on an old truck like that
@@schlomoshekelstein908 Car batteries are car batteries. Nothing to f around with.
That’s what I thought
Those terminals look very HD and should last a long time.
Nothing strong in front of battery acid...
Put one on and it seems to have killed the battery more
