Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is such a unique and amazing game, I just beat it recently. It will forever stick with me as one of the most entertaining westerns and hard-hitting games I've ever played. What an introduction to the Oddworld series... Tysm for this great review!! ^w^
I kinda wish Stranger's Wrath has a form of New Game+ where you can start the game again except with the upgraded ammo and the dash attack at the start. It's also a shame you can't access the cheats like in the original Xbox release, even just naming you "Stranger" the whole game so you can't do the level select cheat, but it's still a amazing one-of-a-kind game
Ever since I beat it on the original Xbox when I was a kid, this has definitely been one of my all time favorites. And since then I've bought it on like 3 different systems lol a masterpiece.
Not gonna lie, love the design of the characters of this game and without knowing the actual voice actor, you could convince me that The Stranger sounds like Sam Elliot.
thank you guys so much for 100 subscribers! its a small number, but a huge victory. here are some small edits 1. one of the game's most crucial features in the game i didn't mention in this game is quick save. it allows you to quickly save with the press of a button in the pause menu. i used this several times on my 5th playthrough on Xbox. 2. the game also has fortune tellers in the general stores which serve no purpose other than giving you insight into later events in the game. 3. i didn't go over the game's history and development which to summarize it basically involved EA failing to market the game resulting in the game selling like ass, leading to the shut down of Oddworld Inhabitants and several Oddworld games being cancelled, including a spiritual successor to stranger's wrath called Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot.
Wait. Then how is there new Oddworld games being made nowadays and develops them now? How did the HD remaster get finalized? With the success of the modern games, why don't just make a spiritual successor to this game?
I don't like any oddworld game except for strangers wrath. I just find the gameplay for all the others boring. Strangers wrath being a completely different game and not part of the storyline is the only thing that made me play oddworld
When I was a young boy my dad told me about "a cool game were you use bugs as ammunition for your gun, it was about cowboys" and so I've been searching for about 8 years, AND GOD DAMNIT IM SURE I FOUND IT ONCE AND SKIPPED OVER IT BECAUSE IT LOOKED "Too weird", because using bugs as ammo was clearly normal, I'm so happy I've found it, Now I gotta play it.
Love that your more into obscure games and series, did you by anychance play Rayman 3, Kao the kangaroo 2 and Ty the Tasmanian tiger 2? and if so would you do a review about them in the future im really interested in your oppinion on those games
This looks awesome! I am surprised this game is the Only “free roam, 3D open world”? All the other Oddworld look like 2D platform/scroller. But it looks like a really fun game. Has anyone played Die Young?

The outlaws and wolvarks reminds me of the orcs and goblins from the animated hobbit and return of the king films
