I love your new piece. I’m not certain if the knobs are original because I would assume the original knob would be made out of the same pine. That being said, I love the knobs and would keep them. You’ll probably have to put several layers of the wax because it’s probably drinking the wax up right now cause it’s so dried out. I know antique dealers Pate Dugay. You could also try Howard’s Feed and Wax. I love the fact that you have an idea and you don’t rush to buy but you just wait until you find exactly what you want. So many people want an area in their house to be done and they rush through getting everything.
Love your new piece, brings more light to the area and its beautiful! Whether the knobs are original or not, they look really nice on the piece and i do think they are old. I agree with being patient! I've wanted A primitive cabinet, cubbard or something with shelves to decorate and maybe storage, we know those are pricey! Couple weeks ago an older lady that owns a couple antique stores and has a 2 story home packed with antiques, GAVE a large, primitive step back cabinet to my husband for me!!! The guys in out recovery home help her with moving things around in her stores and do her yard work.. she's just so precious! And I'm elated😁 God always looks out for us😊 Enjoyed today's video, have a good field trip!
The pine drawers have so much character. You can’t replicate this. It is the perfect addition to your entrance way. Have a lovely rest of the week Sarah. Blessings to you and your family.
I love the small wooden chest in your space. It totally transformed your entry way. You got a deal on it! I believe the knobs are original too. It really does take time to find the right pieces but that’s the fun of it!
The new furniture piece is perfection in your entry. I love that you prayed and waited. There have been many times I’ve wanted or needed something and I’ve waited. Then I felt impressed to stop at a certain thrift store and there it was, exactly what I was looking for. God is good!
I love the way your entryway has evolved! The pine dresser looks perfect and cozy. I hope the knobs turn out to be original. I have no clue, but I like them.
I like this traditional antique pine piece better than the other one and the drawers will be more functional...I always like the way you place 3 little pictures together it's so charming..
So lovely and warm in your entry Sarah. His Favor in patience brings perfection at the right time. Even with the price. He Amazes us. Today went at an antique consignment shop we (husband) frequently stop in and I've admired a beautiful English Painting. It was of course on the highest piece of furniture so I couldn't see the price and never looked at it up close. Thanks to The Lord today,, one of the employee's happened to be walking by and asked if he could see the price. He found a ladder and spotted the price, $95... i thought the painting was lovely. Then he said "well, what's your best price"... of course, like you I didn't desire to insult the seller. I asked him to see what she would do... so he went to check. Meanwhile, I mentioned to my husband $50 came to my heart. He comes back and says wow she came down to $50. What do you think. I knew His Favor, i said yes, will purchase it. Pieces like these always have a precious presence and meaning👐❤👐 Thank you for sharing yours💓 Traveling mercies to and yours, enjoy your get away❣
I love the pine piece. I love the black knobs as well but don't believe they are original. I think the lamp is a bit to big and the color is off in my opinion. But if you love it that's what matters.
The lamp feels a little large for that entryway piece of furniture for me. But I love everything else you set on there. Love your style. I'm diligently searching for a dresser like you have in your bedroom. Alcatraz looks exactly as it did back when I was a kid visiting 45 yrs ago.
Sarah, love the primitive pine dresser. Black knobs are not original but look great. The lamp is too big. Perhaps a tin lamp with black accent would be yummy.. I think you meant bentwood also Howards feed & wax is a great furniture feeder & brings out a beautiful luster on pine.Love your channel & enjoy you sharing with your audience.
First of all, I love that new dresser! Yes, I like this look better for the entryway. The dresser adds a layer of warmth. I am not sure it the knobs are original. I agree with the other comment that the original may have been wood. I have a small side porch that I have a small antique dresser of my grandma's in. It is great for storage and reminds me of her daily!
The pine chest is lovely. As for your coat rack, maybe it would look better if it was mounted onto a piece of reclaimed wood that is wider and longer than the metal. Hmmm
The pine piece is perfect and it's just beautiful with the black knobs. You got me looking around my home and moving things around. Thank you for making me feel this way. I always love your videos and look forward to many more!
Hi Sarah, I really like the knobs and wouldn’t change them. Although I don’t think they are original. I think the original ones would of been wood. What I use on my wood vintage pieces is by Howard’s called feed-n-wax, wood polish and conditioner. I started using a long time ago after seeing it used in a consignment store. It really renovated many my thrifted items. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
What a lovely piece! I feel like the original drawer pulls would have been wood or possibly brass, but the glass ones are lovely 😊Also, I use Howard's Feed and Wax on my antique pieces.
I love the black knobs, brings out the dark tones in the piece. My husband and I "shop" for all those items that we know we want to purchase or replace. Patience is waiting with a good attitude. xoxo
I absolutely love that pine piece, it finishes the look you are going for. Just don’t over decorate the narrow entry. I believe the style of the coat rack you are looking for is “Bentwood” style, as in the way the wood hooks are bent. Have fun and great job😊
I believe you mean Bentwood which was very popular in the 1970’s. I had a bentwood rocking chair in my children’s room when they were growing up. Love the English Pine piece and the big knobs, too. I think the knobs are probably vintage but at some point painted black.
The hat/coat rack you love is in the style of Thonet, which is the most well known manufacturer of this style beginning in the 1800's. The style uses bentwood to achieve the delicate curves, and it was considered very "avant-garde" in its day. PS: I *love* the new piece in the entryway! The knobs are probably vintage, but I'm not sure if they're antique. Two easy ways to tell: 1) look at the hardware that anchors the knobs to the drawer fronts. If the screws all match and they look like they were made by a machine, chances are the knobs aren't antique. 2) remove one or more of the knobs. You may see a shadow on the wood where another knob was. Usually, these dressers did have wood knobs that became damaged or worn over time. Then, look at the back of the knob for clues as to its age. That's all I know, darlin'. Enjoy your new piece!
I love the new piece!! The knobs.. don’t know. They’re beautiful regardless!! Your home is so wonderful and cozy. Have fun with your family. God bless.
Love the piece and your entry makeover, love the lamp but am wondering if the lamp might be a little to big for the size of the piece. Enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing.❤
Love rhe new piece❤i recently through patience was able to purchase a brass tray that i ve seen on stone cottage home. I found it on offer up for $35. Same design and everything!
Beautiful piece of furniture. Just a thought for you to consider, is the lamp maybe a little too large in proportion to the size of the chest? I wonder if a lamp with a slimmer profile, maybe in a dark metal to match the knobs, might be more flattering.
i just told my husband you make cleaning look like fun!!! i love the look but i'm wondering if a smaller lamp might be better. seems like the lamp takes a lot of room but you have to do what you like.
Love your videos. Hope you enjoyed Alcatraz. Myself and family travelled to San Francisco last Feb from Ireland and fell in love with it. Alcatraz was so amazing was unreal x
That antique pine piece is stunning! Not sure if the knobs are original. But, take a knob or two off. Do the screws look aged? Do they take a flat blade screwdriver to remove? Also, look at the back to see if it has some age to it. From the back you may also be able to tell if they are glass or maybe porcelain. Regardless, the piece looks great in your space. You have such a great eye for decor pieces.
I work for a pine furniture maker and besides wax, he uses orange oil. I think Pledge do a version of it. I think your new dresser looks great and is a big improvement. I did wonder why you needed two pouffes/footstools in a hallway.
Good evening Sarah. As always a lovely video. Your two over two chest of drawers is gorgeous. I think the knobs are original and most probably porcelain. Waxing it feds the wood and with a bit of elbow grease you'll get a beautiful sheen on it. My daughter celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary in November and had two weeks on the west side of America. They did Alcatraz found it very interesting. Did San Francisco. Flew down to Les Vegas and renewed their wedding vows. Conducted by Elvis. She said " Ma it just had to be done!" Had a glorious time. Hope you all enjoy your time in San Francisco, how far is it from your home? Is it a stay over thing or a day trip? Have a beautiful week chick. Take care.😊
Sarah, you aren’t looking for a Brentwood hat rack, you want a Bentwood hat rack. They call it bentwood because the wood is actually bent to form the curved parts of the rack. Your chest is so lovely. I’m not sure the handles are original to the piece; however if they are ceramic then they are in fact old. Just not original to your piece. I agree, the dark knobs add so much character. Lovely! Your entryway is so inviting. Love it! Great job curating your space. See you soon. 😊❤😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Love, love, love the new pine piece. I’m sorry, but I think there is too much stuff on top maybe take a few things off so you can see the beauty of the pine.
Hi Sarah your new piece is fab really suits the space beautifully love your videos enjoy your trip the girls are getting so grown up beautiful ladies lots of love from Ireland 🇮🇪 xx❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👏
Hi Sarah... I was thinking the same thing, the Lord connected you with that chest. It’s amazing ....very English ...it’s perfect for that space. I love the way you style your surfaces. Many blessings pretty lady
The little pine chest is really a good fit for the entry. I feel like the opposite wall with the utility items is out of place, more suited for the kitchen or utility room. The entry to your home should be gracious and welcoming, seeing a broom and apron makes me think of chores! A pretty basket with dried flowers or greens would be pretty hanging on the hooks, or a pretty printed umbrella, doesn't rain much in CA but when you need it you need it.

I used to see the Bentwood hat rack at the thrift stores all the time but I haven’t seen one in five or six years in my locale I agree that style hat rack would look really good with your other pieces in the entry hall. Good find on the little chest. I think the knobs are original, but I think they may be porcelain and not glass.
Yes so much better more your style I love pine! Thinking the lamp might be a little too big
I need a safe spot for it for now. I think you may be right.🤍🥰
Oh Sarah! How beautiful! The entire entry way is so peaceful and warm.
@@kathleenroberts7972 thank you!🥰
Beautiful 🫠♥️!!!
@@rossmerytuero978 Thank you.🥰😍
I love the knobs! They do look like old porcelain door knobs! So pretty.
I love your new piece. I’m not certain if the knobs are original because I would assume the original knob would be made out of the same pine. That being said, I love the knobs and would keep them. Love the pine piece and the knobs.
Personally, I think the lamp is a bit big for dresser.
I was thinking the same thing.

I like this traditional antique pine piece better than the other one and the drawers will be more functional...I always like the way you place 3 little pictures together it's so charming..

I love the knobs. It’s hard to tell if they’re original to the piece or not but lovely just the same. Your home truly inspires me. God bless.
Bentwood, Sarah. No r. Love your new piece with the black knobs for the entryway.
Yes, thanks for the correction.❤️

Me, too!🖤
Isn’t it beautiful how God answers our prayers? What a wonderful piece! I too love the pine, the knobs, just everything fits with your decor style!

Love the piece and your entry makeover, love the lamp but am wondering if the lamp might be a little to big for the size of the piece. Enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing.❤

LOVE the new pine piece. I feel that the lamp is too big and planters feel too modern? I think your wall hanger that you have now looks very nice!!❤
Love your videos. Hope you enjoyed Alcatraz. Myself and family travelled to San Francisco last Feb from Ireland and fell in love with it. Alcatraz was so amazing was unreal x
It’s really Beautiful and Quiet. We enjoyed it!🥰
Beautiful sideboard.
I like the console table because it is longer and not as deep, so it gives you more room to move around. The pine piece is beautiful though.
I have to say I love the black knobs . The black, I think, is prettier than wood.
Looks beautiful!

Love the look and agree it takes time to get what you want. Also the dress you had on was very pretty on you.
Love the pine

Love the new piece. But I agree that the lamp is too big. Otherwise the rest is looking good!
Love the pine piece. I do think the knobs might be vintage.

Thank you and Blessings to you, too.🥰🙏🏻
Great re-do to entry way I like a lot…
The little pine chest is really a good fit for the entry. I feel like the opposite wall with the utility items is out of place, more suited for the kitchen or utility room. The entry to your home should be gracious and welcoming, seeing a broom and apron makes me think of chores! A pretty basket with dried flowers or greens would be pretty hanging on the hooks, or a pretty printed umbrella, doesn't rain much in CA but when you need it you need it.
🥰
Clear wax is best for you beautiful cupboard. ❤❤❤ it!!!
Hi sweet friend,
I absolutely love your new sideboard. Omg!!! It's stunning. And of course your decorating is impeccable. I luv the pots, where did you find them, l don't remember. Your entryway is sooo cozy & inviting. I'm soo happy for you that you found this darling piece.
Hope ya'll are well, we're good. Luv and blessings, Bob and Lisa ❤❤😊😊🌹🌹
The bubbles pots are from Anthropologie.🥰Thank you, sweet friend! Much Love!❤️
I love your decorating. The pine furniture is so warm and beautiful. May I ask where you found the pots with the chunky knobs (white ones). Thanks
It’s exquisitely beautiful!!!!!!!
🥰
I used to see the Bentwood hat rack at the thrift stores all the time but I haven’t seen one in five or six years in my locale
I agree that style hat rack would look really good with your other pieces in the entry hall. Good find on the little chest. I think the knobs are original, but I think they may be porcelain and not glass.
Hi Sarah. Looks good.
