Incase you were wondering your horn is tuned the 7th in the key of FMaj (the key of the song playing). Quite dissonant and satisfying!
thanks heaps for your help :) i bought one today, and watched the s14 tutorial because it has the same airbag module as my 180, just had to pull that out and the hub went right in. fits perfect
FYI for anyone installing these, there's no need to remove the release button if you install it right. All you need to do is adjust the C Clip where the cut-out is for the Button. The Clip will press the button by itself when you pull the levers.
Nice vid but removing the release safety is probably not the smartest thing to do.
I accidentally removed it but didn't hold the button spring got lost smh 🤦♂️

To block the slider that unlocks the quick release so it doesn't accidentally release on you while you're driving. With it, you'd have to press it down and slide the quick release to take the wheel off.
when you undo your steering wheel center bolt hand screw it on a couple of threads so if you need to really pull to get the wheel off when i does come it hits the nut and doesn't smack you in the face.

You need a short hub ( specific to your car) and the quick releases hub (any will work) and a steering wheel
I was hoping for more technical info on the horn wiring.
Not quite sure why you didn't get screws with the QR. I got screws with the QR and my Grip Royal Halo, i thought you had a Halo too but i didnt see the "Royal", anyways...have you had any problems with not having the safety button? I feel like the wheel would just pop off if I didn't have it on. It is pretty annoying, and I'm sure that NR»G had to put it on for insurance reasons, but its still a good feature. Thanx for the Vid!

its sort of a safety thing you usually have to press the button, then it allows you to release the wheel
@760coolguy , you need to buy the hub and quick release steering wheel.
Was there any step between placing the hub and testing the horn? I always thought it was more to it.
Disconnected the battery before doing anything...remember airbags go boom sometimes so don't throw them about.
I took out my spring and button too but instead of leaving it empty I took out the spring put just the button back.and screw so there's not a hole there
The Quick Release attaches to the Hub, so you would need both.

did yours line up perfectly? mine seems a hair off center. I even pulled it off and put it the next tooth over and it was off the other way.

looked like you were using a torque wrench to tighten the nut back down? If so, what was the lb/ft you torqued it to?

thanks for the video I actually have a 99 ram 1500 and have a nrg racing steering wheel I wanted to swap out with factory oem wheel thats how i came across your video. Can i just buy an adapter to put it together can't find any videos on a 2nd gen ram if you know anything about em lemme kno thnks 😉

Was wondering what size screws to use? I currently have 5x12mm for the steering wheel. Is the adapter a bit longer? Maybe 5x16mm?
The 6 screws didn't come with the quick release.. But the Home Depot screws did the job.

i have nooooooooooo idea if you ever figured it out, but if you still have the connector that went to your oem steering wheel under the dash, you had to cut it from the wheel, plug it back in, and rewire a few things
