Thanks to everyone who commented about cleaning the contact points and thanks to the author for instructions on how to disassemble!!! Worked like a charm. My wife thinks I'm great!! UA-cam for the win.
Yes, mine had the blinking light and 5v but the touch panel wasn’t working. I think it was just the contact between the panel and the board. You can see the blinking light by just removing the back panel screws and pulling the metal plate back. I had to remove the lid and touch control to get to the plug for testing the 5v, took about 5-10 minutes. I don’t know how long it will last but now know that mine is just a bad connection and simple fix.
Just happened to me, and had to piece together UA-cam videos to get through the process. This 9 minute video doesn't really help. Basically, if you freeze it at 6:58....look at the 4 orange rectangles. You need to clean that with a Q tip and alcohol (vodka worked for me). The most annoying part was getting the silver clips through their hole to release the top frame. Don't squeeze with pliers....take pliers/screwdriver and when lid is vertical, push down on the silver clips (pliers were too thick to use on the left side) and then push in.
Nice video. It's really unforgivable that Maytag sells these POS washers and basically doesn't support them afterwards. I'm so frustrated with mine that given the option I would literally launch it with a trebuchet into the Maytag HQs to adequately lodge my complaint. Perhaps with this help I can actually get a load of laundry done
Yup. Mine is barely two years old and costed almost a grand. It is straight up criminal. They are kind enough to sell me a new pos board for just 640. Crooks! Never again Maytag. I tell everyone I know.

Your multimeter should have a V with a wavy line for 120 volts AC(alternating current) for your wall outlet and a V with straight lines for DC(direct current). Some say AC volts or VAC(110v-250v house electric) and DC volts or VDC(usually 5v-12v for most small electronics)

Terrible video from my pov
I changed the control board and the panel when I turned the knob for the cycles. It just goes to light up each individual unit on the screen. Is there a way to reset this?
Thanks!
What setting do I put on my digital multimeter to check the 120 volts? And I leave the qasher plugged into the wall right?
Your multimeter should have a V with a wavy line for 120 volts AC(alternating current) for your wall outlet and a V with straight lines for DC(direct current). Some say AC volts or VAC(110v-250v house electric) and DC volts or VDC(usually 5v-12v for most small electronics)
How much was that part?
