This Friday's video is all things All-in-One... trying it out on different surfaces, with different products - I was pleased with the results and how it worked!
Your shelf turned out really pretty. I have to tell you that the name of the color is not the same “ Haint Blue” color every where. Having grown up in the South, and seeing that color on front porch ceilings all over, the color is more of a sky/aqua blue. That color is not used to deter insects, but legend has it that the color is literally to keep bad spirits away. I love seeing these UA-cam videos and what you make. Thanks for sharing the projects.
Jo, thanks for sharing. I went with what Jami had said about the origins of the name but spirits makes far more sense! I figure that, like most colours, everyone has their own version... certainly Duck Egg Blue is popular but really varies also! Would love to tour the south though and check this one out for myself!
Ah... you certainly could for additional security (and likely because I forgot!)... but just the downward brace... not across the slat section since it doesn't sit flush everywhere on that.
I'm enjoying learning how to use power tools. But I always struggle with how to get the right size drill bit for the screw can you say a little bit more about how you do that
Great looking project. The new all-in-one paint color is really nice. Plus, an easy unit to make! Thanks, Cindy.

So adorable & I love the color! The JRV paints are on my list to get!
I've played with them more since this video - in fact you'll see some of the results in Friday's video. I have yet to try the pink though!

Thanks Laurie
Just wondering why you didn't glue the shelves first before nailing like you did when you put the braces on

I have a short piece of 2"x4" that I drill into first and then check for my screws. You can label it also so that you use it as a future guide.
@@QueenBeeCreations what a great idea thank you for that suggestion
