well, some of the latest figures with clear plastic of late have been pretty sturdy... I think they just need to spend for premium clear plastic and not use the cheap and brittle ones...
Fingers crossed for an MP(G) version of Jazz in the future. No matter how we cut it, all these are still just toys for kids, my Chef. And looking at how light and brittle the plastic has gotten, they will amount to 'consumables' within the span of just a few years! 😅 (Do you still recall the true adult collector glory that is Binaltech Meister? Now that is mature collecting...) 😊
yeah, I'm surprised they haven't gotten around to doing one of him yet... could it be a licensing issue? yeah, I tried binaltech and alternity and all that insanely difficult to transform figures LOL. sold all of them though...
yes, but they weigh exactly the same as the previous versions... so the plastic quality they used is exactly the same... it's just an illusion of lightness or cheapness caused by the difference in color and aesthetic... I actually sold off my SS86 jazz after this review... the new jazz has really grown on me! oh cool! awesome mods man! no prob bro, thanks so much!
Nice! Have you experienced yellowing on your SS86 Jazz? I just applied the toyhax stickers to mine and am noticed some yellowing on the "white" plastic on the shoulders :(
Comparing these Jazz are like...splitting hairs. I do think they made a few better choices to finish the cartoon deco which was not complete on the studio series.
oh I'm sure we'll get this hound figure re-released in g1 toy colors as a single figure... maybe they'll re-release a dead sunstreaker just like what they've been doing with ironhide, prowl, ratchet and brawn for the ss86 line LOL
@@chefatron You know it is that Hasbro thing, every damn time "forgive my french" they give you a figure and I know often people say 10 out of 10. But there is always this 1 thing at least, yes 1 that is just not it. And then comes the next figure and the next and the next. They never nail it a 100% and it is on purpose. So you keep buying the next one. Same with the upcoming SS86 Optimus Prime. We had siege, and Earthrise before it. I hope he is bigger. Because the price will be high. Earthrise Prime is tiny compared to Magnus. And that irks me. In my collection I got only a few figures that will never need replacement And that is actually shocking. Because nobody admits it and it is the truth. Most people cycle their bots like crazy. Siege Skyfire and Omega Supreme. Those I never replaced and probably will not need to be for like 2 decades at least. I also doubt my SS86 Dinobots will need replacement. But the rest? I'm not so sure.
Studio Series version is much better in my opinion. i really hate the windows painted. i prefer the translucent windows all the way always. Still today, i have no idea what people keep complaining on translucent breaking, when i have toys from 80ts that never broke, and i still keep transforming over and out and never breaking it. I have seen indeed, reviewers, that, god damn, its like they are opening a potato sack by force. I did not get jazz, because of the list of yellowing... So i went with the golden disk version, and i am nowhere regretting it. He is so much fun, and i love the yellow windows. And i keep transforming him so much.
@@chefatron yes, that name xD my only gripe is that the axe battlemaster could have had a bit more of paint on his eyes or fin. I have stand alone battlemaster, and it's paint apps are so good. but jackpot, which is Jazz from another mother for me xD, is such a cool toy. i got it from amazon for... maybe 30 euros with shipping. it was worth it for me.
I'm probably the only person in the world, but I prefer the power of the primes version. He's got the martini striping, the right number 4, better plastic quality, you can fix the ugly black wheels with a set of old CW Mirage wheels, no hanging feet at the back of the carmode (like it should) and I never been a fan of that type of Porsche in the first place. Its my opinion. The PotP one only misses the black fists. Good luck with the rest of the set.
oh that's a cool figure too! I had very high praises for that figure in my reviews of that figure oh, the rest of the set was really a pleasant surprise... stay tuned for my reviews of the other figures...
In my opinion, clear needs to banned from every Transformers toy line due to how fragile it is.

This is a great mold. Glad it's more sturdy with the opaque plastic.
At the very least keep it away from pin joints, or joints in general.
@@richardwhiskers7834 indeed!
@@chefatron Tell that to Magnus' neck joint socket.
I like the generations selects version. Thanks for the review. I think I made the right decision of buying the 5 pack 🤩
oh definitely man... wait til you see my reviews of the other figures!!!

You have SS86 Jazz and this one is so cool.
yes definitely bro!
So the 5 pack versions do feel a bit cheaper...I knew it. I did some minor painting to my SS'86 Jazz so he looks better now. Thanks Chef!!!

on the thighs, yes... 😢
I like *PLAYING* with my toys, so i'm getting the 5 pack one,
my 86 jazz has crumbled while playing, so thats a no no i'm getting the 5 pack jazz
awesome man
I think they're re-releasing this figure in a 3 pack with optimus and teletraan 1 as a takara tomy Japan exclusive set
Toon accuracy all day every day. I do prefer durability instead of the clear plastic.
oh definitely bro!

"All That Jazz" Breathe?
hahaha 😀

This figure looks good but I don't know. The shoulders look very off-putting to me.

Another 1 coming in a takara 3 pack..@#$%^&*
