Real prototype is Lyudmila Pavlichenko (wikipedia). Credited with 309 kills, she is regarded as one of the top military snipers of all time and the most successful female sniper in history.

And thats result less than 1 year of war. In march 1942 Pavlichenko was hospitalised and never participated in battle action.

Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko (nee Belova). Born July 12, 1916 in the White Church (now the Kiev region) - died October 27, 1974 in Moscow. The legendary Soviet sniper. Destroyed 309 German soldiers and officers. The most successful sniper woman in world history. Hero of the Soviet Union (1943).During her visit to the ocean, Lyudmila Pavlicenco, along with the secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the Komsomol Nikolay Krasavchenko and the sniper Vladimir Pchelintsev, visited the reception of the US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. At the invitation of the first lady Eleanor Roosevelt, members of the Soviet delegation for some time lived in the White House. Later, Eleanor Roosevelt organized a trip to the Soviet representatives for the country.
Lieutenant Pavlicenco delivered a speech before the International Student Assembly in Washington, before the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) in New York, but many remember her words in Chicago: "Gentlemen, I'm twenty-five years old." At the front, I already managed to destroy three hundred and nine fascist invaders, do not you think, gentlemen, that you hide behind my back for too long? " After these words, as the reporters described, the crowd froze for a moment, and then exploded with a frenzied noise of approval.
After returning from a trip abroad, Lieutenant Pavlichenko served as an instructor in the sniper school "Vystrel" near Moscow. October 25, 1943 Lyudmila Pavlichenko was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. After the end of the war Lyudmila Mikhailovna defended her diploma at the University of Kiev and became a senior research fellow of the General Staff of the Soviet Navy. In 1956, she moved to work for the public organization "Soviet Committee of War Veterans". In 1957, for the second time, she met with Eleanor Roosevelt, during her last visit to the USSR. She died on October 27, 1974 in Moscow. She was buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery, alongside her mother Elena Belova, husband and son.

The guys in our country during the Second World War fought all. Not only men but women and children too. It was the USSR that crushed fascism and not the US as you are told. I want that you all know about this and remember. Always.
Too bad it didnt crush communism then too, thankfully it died later, allowing more freedom for Russia. Hopefully it stays that way and Russia will prosper :)

Рискую, что сейчас на мою голову нальют ведра плохо пахнущей субстанции в комментариях, но все же напомню, что фильм "Битва за Севастополь" также является произведением художественным. Да, фильм отличный, снят хорошо, цепляет за душу, но.. снят он, так сказать, "по мотивам". А книга воспоминаний Павличенко, между прочим, доступна в сети и сама по себе очень интересна и вполне достойна была бы экранизации в качестве биографии и без добавления вымышленных персонажей.

This is Polina Gagarina's cover for song of V.Tsoy "Кукушка (The cuckoo)". By IMHO, her singing at minimum don't worse than original. Also, there is some allusion to the unofficial term " cuckoo", which russian soldiers use to determinate finnish sniper's at the Winter War 1939-1940 ( because finnish snipers often stay in the tree's crown)
