I’m a white girl in Australia. I’ll begin with that. Because I’m starting to understand that somehow that matters. You have had to deal with feeling like an outsider in your own birthplace. Your culture disposed of. I had a dream that I was a black man on a bus wearing a white paper mache mask. And the feeling this man had, in my dream, that black man I dreamed I was, felt the most despairing loneliness. Something I haven’t felt in my waking day. And I don’t even know how to begin to console that. I still feel it every now and again and I feel sad. Teach me so I can know.

Cleared my UA-cam because I was tired of the shit I keep seeing, only to get this recommended after. Something I had watched when it was first posted, but watching it again today hit a different point. I used to love watching and writing, this has added more to me now. I didn't really understand it the first time, but now I get it. And as much as I wish I had gotten it then too, I get it now and I need to take action for those who were silence. And make more noise not only to be heard but to be seen for who you are and valued. You are worth it, we are worth it.
