My most prized trombone: bass sackbut by Geert Jan Van der Heide. Here it’s set up to play in G (a=466 hz).

Yes usually a bass bone has a bell diameter from between 9" to 101/2" and it can be ordered as you wish.

Custom ones can have 8.5 to all the way up to 11!

The slide is longer than normal bones, so they use the handle to reach hard to reach positions
