Time to be DOMINATE and sit up straight! Unless your really a Zombie or have a condition that’s preventing you from sitting up straight, then you should sit up straight brother! i’ve checked out many guitar teaching channels for years and your teaching style is really good. Thanks for your videos!

@@zombieguitar they really do Brian ... I went to guitar X here in the UK and done a year diploma but I've got to say you are like the teachers ...... they were excellent but we had to complete in 1 year a diploma (2× A levels)in music huge ask for me. which was rushed so had to be super fast and for me it was way to quick. I did pass just... but after that I fell away from the theory which I loved so much then I found you here and it was like I'm back in thank God!!! these lessons are exactly like the college and these guys were session musicans playing with huge acts I mean huge ...... These maj7 chords are probably my favorite sounding chords. They sound so chill. Especially with a chorus pedal. Very “dreamy”. Just found ur channel. It’s great.
Awesome explanation for those chords bro!!! You explained that better than guys that have a million plus subscribers!! Thank you and I just subbed!! 🤘🏻
I just discovered you man , I needed a break from Steve stine and marty ha great video really helpfull Love the EMG pickups in the fender so you can bang out some metal ha
Amaj7 is much easyer to play all the notes if you bar across the b and e strings with the pointer and play the a on the e string with the middle finger. Instead of 1x3421 try 2x3411
What about the 1st and 2nd inversions? There should be a root position, a position rooted on the 3rd and the second inversion rooter on the 5th. Could you do a lesson with the inversions?
Hasnat Faisal I will be adding all types of lessons as time goes on. I intend to have a very complete music theory site which certainly includes all the chord inversions and all that good stuff!
@@Playsinvain next time a song has a minor chord in it, try replacing with a m7 chord. Or next time you're playing a song that contains a I chord and/or a IV chord (super common), try replacing with the maj7 variation of that chord. Same thing with the V chord, only this time you'll replace with a dominant 7 chord. Just replace major and minor chords with their 7th variation, and take it one chord at a time!

Thank you!
Hi Brian, very well explained! I finally understand it. I was wondering if you can explain those same chords on the other strings?
I hear the police sirens at 6:57 don't worry, you have an alibi. All of us Zombies can see you are filming
Crystal clear
Thank you so much I've heard "Seventh" thrown around a lot and its pretty confusing

so helpful. thanks Brian! one question, on the Amajor7, why do you have to mute the A string?
That note that you are muting would be the 4th, which not part of a maj7 chord (1 3 5 7) 😁
@@zombieguitar ahh! ok thank you!

What up Brian is there somewhere where I can just find out where the fingers go?
Yup, just click on the lesson in the description that goes with this video. All the chord diagrams are there!
@@zombieguitar dang! I didn't even see the link sorry Brian your awesome bro
So I can play these, play them as progressions even….but I’ll be damned if I can use them in an actual song
