I don't know why I'm tearing up as I listen to you praising and thanking God so openly. It breaks my heart to see the hate, contempt, and selfishness fostered by the world and to see you glorify God gives me strength.
Some people are sensitive to it because of their own beliefs and experiences. I for one get uncomfortable watching those parts but I fully respect their right to express their beliefs and would fight to protect that right.
I don't understand the current culture of hating people for widespread western religions though, I can't wrap my head around it. Let people believe what they will and live and let live.
But I do understand people's discomfort seeing it so openly expressed if they don't believe the same things. I try to see it as just a moral compass, not set beliefs. Like these guys, they look like real honest, hardworking folk who try their best to be good people and are kind to everyone best they can.
@@h.s.6269 They are giving thanks to the Creator who made seeds of all the foods we consume, and provided the soil, water and sunshine required to grow them. We as Christians are called to have a spirit of gratitude and if someone is angered or offended by that, it says a lot about them and the devil might just be whispering in their ear. Experiences are just that. We all have good and bad ones but God is greater than what someone with a fallen nature did to you. They don’t represent God nor does any church or religion. It’s our relationship with God that is of greatest importance.
It would seem the Lord feeds others through your hands. They are blessed as you are as well.
We are so blessed when the Lord uses my hands as His😇😇😇
Your homestead has really matured. Good things come to those who work. God bless.
Thank you Ray. It’s been a LOT OF WORK!!!
@@HollisNancysHomestead and it all shows,,,,the lord provides those that thank him
We have been so blessed 😇
I just love you guys! I watch daily and pray I can get me a homestead in the next year. God bless you and keep you prosperous, healthy and abundant.
I Just ❤ watching Ya'll Good ol' Country Live'n, GOD fearing folks & lit'l Bing- Bing too! 😀 I really admire how U two always give GOD the GLORY for whatever Harvest he Blesses U with. ALL Praises surely belong to Him❗👐🏾 May GOD continue to BLESS the HOLLIS FAMILY & Homestead❣🤗
Thanks so much! Blessings back
I loved your garden in Virginia, but your garden in Florida is absolutely amazing!
Thank you ma’am. It is a blessing to us and many others
What a relaxing video to wake up to this Saturday morning. Greeting from Longview,WA. Spring is starting to show up here.
Enjoy your weekend ❤️
Hollis you and nancy are looking GOOD! The LORD bless you and miss nancy! We love you!
Thank you❤️
Bless her heart she works so hard.
Been following you two for quite some time, and am the proud to say, I am an
owner of a donated butter knife that now has a blade that's slightly askew. 😊
Though it does work very well, I find myself surveying the Onion Kingdom,
nothing planned, coffee in hand, and finally decide, Todays The Day! and the
"Ringer" is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back there, in the garage, where it belongs,
and ultimately end up using my onion ringing finger. Both tools seem to work
equally as well and I will say, It Works! 👍👍👍👍👍
TYFS My Friends, Mark and Rosa
When I look at all the work you both do with your gardening both in your new place and back in your old place the progress has been nothing short of miraculous, I know that God is helping you do these things. I especially like all the many many how to videos. Can't wait to get my onions going this year, maybe some leeks too, because thanks to you I know how to do it by following your examples. Thank you again for all you do.
Those carrots at the end are so beautiful!!!
GOD BLESS HOLLIS AND NANCY. Y'ALL WORK SO HARD. THANK GOD FOR SPRING. WE HAD A BAD WINTER HERE IN TEXAS.
Thank you Melinda. Yes, many prayers sent up for our dear friends in beautiful Texas. That arctic blast was terrible!!!
@@HollisNancysHomestead it sure was.
Glory to His Name
I got a late start on my onions, and it's time for me to ring on my onions. So I'm rewatching this video, as I do with almost all of yours videos, Nancy and Hollis, whenever I need a reminder or two. Thanks again for your many kind, thoughtful and beautiful videos!
Loved the gentle acoustic guitar. Reminds me of when my son lived at home and practiced in the next room.
I like it too 🎸🎸🎸
Beautiful people,fantastic garden❤
Hollis you make it look so easy, anything you do.
Your videos are always informative, beautiful, peaceful and hopeful. I love seeing Bing Bing in them too! Blessings to you!

I'm in the UK. I'm a great follower of your videos. I did this to my onions, with my finger! and WOW I have never grown such large onions..thank you for your wonderful advice.
Good morning from upstate NY! Beautiful work right there!
Thanks for watching
I’m in upstate NY too (Kingston). Really looking forward to the garden this year, yesterday’s weather was a great reminder that spring is here!
@@kwall1464 Awesome K Fern and spring is here in the Saratoga region! 🌱👍
I'll try that this year.
I really enjoy your homestead videos. They are very helpful.
I had great luck last year following your instructions.
This year my young onion leaves are curling after transplanting as if someone gave them a perm.
There seems to be some deformity.
I'm in zone 7a in Virginia. Any advice you may offer will be very much appreciated.
Thank You,
Red
Thank you Jesus for good people like Hollis and Nancy and their knowledge of gardening and willingness to share. ☺️🫂👍
I love that you thank him for the harvest. Without him we can’t really do anything. Growing things is something you have to love and if someone doesn’t understand they probably never will.
Thanks for watching. We are thankful for His hand on our shoulder in the garden and our lives😇
It's something you can grow to love though. I use to just do a single plant of tomatoes and a few herbs and I didn't use to like it but the past 4 years or so I've gotten really passionate about it. Now I've got the gardening bug and can't grow enough in my urban setting. Its driving me batty!
I followed what you said on your onion video last Fall. Now mine are doing great. I don't remember seeing a carrot video since you moved to Florida. Maybe I missed it. Another great video. Thanks.
Well done Colleen👍👍👍. Enjoy your onions! We will be releasing a carrot harvesting video on Thursday. We are working on a carrot growing video that will come out next year. Nancy is also working on some really good cooking videos with carrots
Hollis and Nancy you grow a lot of food. Its just the two of you do you donate to a food pantry? What do you do with so much food?
Yes, we share with many
@@HollisNancysHomestead We have a Dairy Farm and it is such a blessing to Feed people physically and spiritually. I was born and raised in Florida but live in Minnesota now.
Another great video, have a beautiful day 👩🏼🌾
Thank you for watching ❤️
So hard to wait up here in Iowa but it is slowly coming. That is a beautiful onion!

really nice video simple and enjoyable.
Thanks for watching ❤️
I'm fairly new finding your videos on
First lettus, then seeds
then potatoes ,now onions .
I think you are a very good teacher and I feel very blessed by what God is and has done for you because you are helping a lot of people like me not to be afraid to garden and fail but to just do it and with the Lords help and knowledge from what I'm learning I've started my first seeds and they are popping up . 😊
Plus I think you too are really nice.
Thank you✝️
Good morning sir
Good morning! Happy New Day❤️
I will try that! Hope I don't forget😉
Please do!
Really looking forward to the garden this year, this video is getting me so excited for the nice weather! Looks great over there, blessings!

Thanks for the videos! We will have to take special care of our onions. About 3 weeks in now.
You can do it!
You guys make it look easy!!! But I do learn from the video.
good go --hope you throw the extra on the compost bun
Thank u .. didn't know to do that
It will make a huge difference.
Love the tip! God bless.
It’s the little steps that seem to add up for good gardens
I want to try growing onions this spring. Thanks for the tip!
You are so welcome!
Blessings from Minnesota
Peace to you from Florida ✌️
Hi there, I just discovered your youtube channel, I am very glad, your videos are really instructive. I may have had heard this mistakenly, but I thought you guys have a remedy against fire ants. If so, would you please share, we are tormented here by them, we live in zone 8b, East Texas. Luisa
Love your videos, God Bless!!
Thank you so much
Great tip. Never knew that would help.
👍
Good video thanks for sharing God Bless
👍
🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊❣️🕊🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you! I did not know that about growing onions.
You are so welcome
Great watching your video. Which month of the year can I plant onion?
That was a nice relaxing video. Wishing you every happiness, Hollis and Nancy. I hope you're getting the everything you need, and people at large are kind and encouraging. I had been lazy about starting my onions and only got then in the ground this part week. Good bless you, Hollis, Nancy and Bing Bing!
Thanks for watching. Yep, we started growing our onions over the winter since moving to Florida so we plant our onions in early December
You clear the soil at the base, but what about if the garden is in a very windy location where the plants can be blown over?
Do you need to harden off the onions or could you just pick them and either cut them up and use them or cut them up and freeze them?? My wife and I go through a ton of onions but we don’t have the room for a hardening off table like you have
My onions were looking good but today this morning I discovered some yellow slime mold at the base of some of my onions. What caused this and what do I do about it? Will it hurt my onions??
Hi how often. Do you water your onions?
Howdy,
Where did you buy the seeds for the onions from?
Tricia
Do you guys have any videos about your irrigation system?
ua-cam.com/video/cexnEfjZ4q8/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/play/PLjAejPnq636ZghGH4Y5DOADJTqG_AMUT6.html
Bing Bing! You so cute!!
❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶
I got a fork that I use when starting graden
how do you keep weeds out
where do you buy your wala wala onion sets?
Whopper onion! And instead of "spooning" like I’ve seen elsewhere, you are more unique, "knifing". Impressive.
Started an onion with a cut off. One of the chutes has what looks like a pod or a bloom that’s getting ready to open. What is it?
Can I use a fork to ring my onions in
Do you have a video for making the tool box in this video?
ua-cam.com/video/wo12SDNx9xc/v-deo.html
@@HollisNancysHomestead Thank you!!
At what point in their life cycle do you do this to the onions?
Mine end up only tennis ball size at best.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks.
Going to watch it now. How did I miss that video🤔
This is my first year gardening and I think I may have planted my onions too deep. They are not showing the onion above ground like yours , only the top leaves showing. Will they still turn out ok and should I remove some of the soil?
Ring them in
@@HollisNancysHomestead ok thanks I will.
👍
Are you planning on having an honor stand out at the street?
No, we simply give to those that need
What is the overall size of the garden that is shown in this video where all the overhead watering is set up on posts around the perimeter?
This is the earth bed. It is 50’x100’.
@@HollisNancysHomestead thanks! Do you have any spots that don't get irrigation coverage with the way it's set up? I'm curious how far back from the bed perimeter you had to set the posts in order to get the best watering coverage... And is your piping buried? I'm wondering if this same system could be used in a cold climate zone 4b if there was a way to easily drain it maybe in the fall...
