Oh, I SO wanted to be able to avoid having to face this challenge, ronakinnz. I tried to convince myself that those mulberry paper roses from Amazon would 'work'...but, nope. Had to figure out an alternative, even though it terrified me! 😅 The cool thing is: if I can do this, ANYONE can! Yay! 😘
Amazing video. Your demonstrations of each step are clear and backed up with wonderful video shots. Do you have a recent overview video on Cricut machines for miniature use? Am now going to binge watch all of your videos I can find! 😊
I really enjoy watching you craft! I like seeing your projects come to life. I don't have a Cricut, sadly. I fussy cut all my works. These are amazing! Thanks for the files! I think with lots of time, I can fussy cut the flower and leaf shapes quite well. I'll only need a dozen for a project to repair a figurine I purchased at a thrift store. The little girl was holding something...not sure what, but there is a hole for a spray of flowers. I was originally thinking a kite or balloon on a wire string. I think these flowers might be prettier.
Hi Sally! Thank you for your kind words, my friend. I have the utmost respect for fussy cutting, and oh, boy, have I done my share! If you are going to need more mini flowers in the future (and who doesn't?) you might want to consider investing in some inexpensive Flower Punches - they will make the job much easier, but you won't have to invest in an electronic cutter. Just a thought, darling! xoxo
OMG!!! What an incredible effort! But it was worth it. Everything looks fantastic. I can not wait to see your next creation. Thank you for sharing. ❤👍 Hugs vom Tinchen
It's Tinchen! Hello, darling. 🌹 Oh, the effort was in all the FAILURES that came before I discovered the ways to make this work, girl - what you saw here was the EASY part! 😅😘🐦

@@Thicketworks Your Mad Skills with the Circit machine are making me so envious! Making masses of tiny yet realistic leaves are one the major drawbacks of 12th scale flower making, so to not only make them in bulk, but also with variety and detail and then to share the downloads for free is not only Admirable but Incredibly Generous of you!
That delicacy was what intimidated me SO much, Ruth. I've been avoiding even attempting to work on things so tiny, but if I can, anyone can! Thank you for your generous heart, my friend. xoxo
Your creativity is boundless, love the effect of the DIY vellum! As always it is a pleasure to watch you work and listen to your soothing voice explaining the process. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us! :)
Heather, WOW! I love making flowers but never did little ones. When you did side by side I had to grab a little flower looking at it and trying to see that miniature next to it. I don't know if I could make these due to O Arth. L hand & fibro. But I like to challenge my pains. Your creativity amazes me especially with all the miniatures. Thanks for sharing your cut files, I'm doing a canvas for my sister and the trellis is a perfect addition & hopefully a few mini flowers. Amazing Heather, have a wonderful week. 💕🌺
Dear Deb...it's lovely to hear from you, my friend. I just know your canvas will be both beautiful and full of meaning...I wish you didn't have to struggle with pain: it makes everything so much harder. But I also hope that you never stop challenging it, and claiming the life that you love! xoxo
Oh Heather, the roses and trellises are absolutely beautiful. You are very talented and I find it hard to believe that you have trouble manipulating your hands to make miniatures. You make it look so easy. I thought I could make them without any machinery but am not sure now. Maybe I need a Cricut. Room for thought, as I have only started making miniatures and have already bought so much more than I can justify if I lose interest. Then there is the laser cutter!!!! Arrrgh, I don’t think I could work out how to use one of those. Could ask my niece about the Cricut as she has one. One thing about retirement you have the time to ponder these things. Better not ponder too long, am not getting any younger. Lol Cheers Robyn ❤😊
Well, my friend - if your niece has a Cricut, then perhaps you needn't invest in one. Could a family collaboration be arranged? On the other hand, if you search online, you can find flower punches that will work, too - but of course the advantage of the Cricut is that it can do so many tasks for us. If you haven't already succumbed to the miniaturist madness, I advise you to turn back NOW! Once the malady takes hold, there is no 'losing interest'...on the contrary, the obsession intensifies...😅 And yes, I am extremely clumsy. Making miniatures has helped a little, but I'm still a fumble fingers. 🤣 Lastly, if the desire is strong enough, you WILL learn how to use a laser cutter. Don't be intimidated by the technicalities - they can all be overcome. That's what UA-cam is for. 😉 All the best to you and yours, Robyn. 😘
Sorry Heather, I have already succumbed to the miniaturist madness. I think of miniatures before sleeping, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about them and first thing in the morning I reach for the IPad to watch yet another tutorial. I have it bad. I’m sure my family think I have lost the plot. My problem is procrastination and actually starting a project. My goodness is there any hope for me, I am addicted. LOL. ❤😊
Cindy: you are WAY too generous in your assessment of my 'talents', my friend. Thank you for being so generous, but please know that this is mainly what happens as a result of sheer cussed stubborn effort, with a sprinkling of good luck thrown in! 😅🌹
@@Thicketworks You're welcome dear friend but I am sure others agree with my assessment and I know the experimentation process is crazy but the end results are magical its good to be stubborn when we create at a high level. Hi Vani! I hope you give the tracing paper technique a try, no matter how you create your flowers - delicate petals are a MUST...and thank you for being so kind about the voice, girl: you know how it is - we all feel a little embarrassed by the sound of our own voices, and it's a relief that it doesn't drive you nuts! 😘😉
I think is the best work I`ve seen in miniatures, your work is amazing. I`d like to know which size of wire and petals you`d recomend me to use to make the roses on a 1/6 scale, instead of the 1/12 one.Thank you!
Hi Julieta! It's nice to meet you, my friend. I have to say that I have SO much to learn when it comes to miniatures, crafting, life in general! There are thousands of miniaturists out there that are far more skilled than I am, and I know it. However, that doesn't detract one bit from the glow of warmth and gratitude that your kind words have kindled in my heart today. I thank you. For blooms at Half Scale | Play Scale I would of course use a heavier gauge wire (maybe 14 gauge floral wire - the pre-wrapped variety is good to work with) and I would simply increase the size of the svg file by 50%. I'm curious - do you work with Action Figures or Fashion Dolls, or BJD's? Sounds like you already have a Half Scale world in progress! xoxo
Hi Edwina...it's worth a try. I'd try it, but babysit the machine to make sure it still cuts through the paper okay. Let us know how it works out! xoxo
Ok so I found you yesterday, watched one video and immediately subscribed. The problem is I’m having a hard time figuring out what I like best. Hello, I love your designs so much! I went to your site and downloaded the svg files, but I'm trying to use them on my cameo and can't remove your watermark. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Kim - it sounds as though you may have downloaded the graphic that depicts the files, rather than the files themselves (no watermarks appear on the actual files). Perhaps revisit the site, and make sure you are clicking through to the pages that contain the files, and not just downloading the pictures that appear within the body of the blog post. Hope this helps, and thank you for your kind words, my friend.

Hi Cathy! Firstly: I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with health issues, my friend. That makes everything so difficult. Secondly, I'm unfamiliar with what the Silhouette can and can't do, but if it can work with svg files: you're golden! Maybe just do a quick UA-cam search for beginner tutorials? Thank you so much for subscribing, @GenNairick1! It's a pleasure to meet you. Yes, this is the new Cricut Maker...I held off and didn't buy one until this model was released because it can cut SO many materials. Heather Tracy Hi Heather 👋👋 could I please ask what Cricut you use ? I can't find anyone near me that owns one so I'm thinking I wouldn't mind owning my own 😊
@@kerry1963qld the investment is sizable, but the creative vistas that open up are limitless, with the Cricut "Maker"! The machine itself is just the beginning: there are a LOT of accessories that are 'nice to have' and a few that are crucial, like strong grip cutting mats. Hi Dorothy! Thank you so much, my friend...I'm completely convinced that our work can be enhanced by orders of magnitude by this technology...the hair spray? It acts as a 'weathering' agent...when you paint over it, then 'scrub' with water, it helps the top layer of paint to dissolve. xoxo
Absolutely, Debra - svg files can be either enlarged or reduced. Just make sure you enlarge all of the components by the same percentage, so they continue to work together. xoxo

Do you think it's something coming from your website or from me? (I just got a cricut maker yesterday for my bday so after watching your videos dreamily for so long, I can now test it out! hehe ^^)
Hi Holly! Some devices have difficulty with SVG files. If possible, attempt to click on the links when you are on a laptop or a pc, rather than a smartphone or tablet. Here is the single file for the rose shapes. Use it to test whether or not your device is properly interpreting the files. It should display as an image in your browser: then you can 'right click' and 'save as'. thicketworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Thicketworks-Roses.svg If it works for you, then go back to the blog posts and try again. Obrigado pelas suas amáveis palavras, meu amigo. Para as rosas, foi usado papel vegetal. Óleo de bebê é esfregado na superfície do papel, em seguida, várias cores são adicionadas ao papel usando tintas de spray ou aquarela. Amazing video. Your demonstrations of each step are clear and backed up with wonderful video shots. Do you have a recent overview video on Cricut machines for miniature use? Am now going to binge watch all of your videos I can find! 😊
Lady, you are AWESOME!
And YOU are a delight, @Laura Nolasco! How lovely of you...xoxo
Just a thought, darling! xoxo
Beautiful 👍😀💞
I need to save up for a Cricut machine 👍😁

@@Thicketworks Your Mad Skills with the Circit machine are making me so envious! Making masses of tiny yet realistic leaves are one the major drawbacks of 12th scale flower making, so to not only make them in bulk, but also with variety and detail and then to share the downloads for free is not only Admirable but Incredibly Generous of you!
So beautiful and delicate. Thank you.
That delicacy was what intimidated me SO much, Ruth. I've been avoiding even attempting to work on things so tiny, but if I can, anyone can! Thank you for your generous heart, my friend. xoxo

Hi Sarah - thanks, girl. xoxo
Once the malady takes hold, there is no 'losing interest'...on the contrary, the obsession intensifies...😅
And yes, I am extremely clumsy. Making miniatures has helped a little, but I'm still a fumble fingers. 🤣
Lastly, if the desire is strong enough, you WILL learn how to use a laser cutter. Don't be intimidated by the technicalities - they can all be overcome. That's what UA-cam is for. 😉
All the best to you and yours, Robyn.
LOL. ❤😊
@@RobynWright-f1g Yep, you have all the symptoms.
Can you recover? Can't say I've ever seen it happen.
So, nope - no hope! 🤣

Heather so beautiful and thank you for being generous with your techniques your artistic talent is off the charts.xoxo
Hey, Kerry! I'm so excited that your Maker will be arriving soon! As far as flower projects? Well, there is nothing in particular planned at this point, but I know we'll be exploring all kinds of floral and foliage making as time goes on. There are some wonderful 1:12 scale flower tutorials on this lovely UA-cam Channel - "We Love Miniatures": ua-cam.com/channels/tkTdmDzMxrjQ2qXBZl7Xjw.html

Hi dear can you tell me which cutting printing machine your using can you share the link
Sounds like you already have a Half Scale world in progress! xoxo
Wow beautiful ❤️
Do you think I can use mod podge to seal the paper instead of the spray paint? Would it still work in the machine?
Hi Edwina...it's worth a try. I'd try it, but babysit the machine to make sure it still cuts through the paper okay. Let us know how it works out! xoxo
I don't like how heavy it makes the paper but I love the texture it give. I will save it for a different project
Thank you for this, Edwina - I suspect I would feel the same. I'm wondering if a thin sponged layer of Polycrylic or Varnish would work. hmmmnnn...
Hi Cathy! Firstly: I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with health issues, my friend. That makes everything so difficult. Yes, this is the new Cricut Maker...I held off and didn't buy one until this model was released because it can cut SO many materials.

@@kerry1963qld the investment is sizable, but the creative vistas that open up are limitless, with the Cricut "Maker"!

What an absolutely awesome tutorial 👏👏👏👏👏, your designs with the circuit cutter just leaves me speechless. The flowers are beautiful, it may take a lot of work but the end results are amazing especially when working with miniatures, to have that realistic look. I do have a question, what was the reason for hair spray? Again awesome tutorial packed with great tips and thank so very much for taking your time to share 💐💐💐💐
Hi Dorothy! Thank you so much, my friend...I'm completely convinced that our work can be enhanced by orders of magnitude by this technology...the hair spray? It acts as a 'weathering' agent...when you paint over it, then 'scrub' with water, it helps the top layer of paint to dissolve. xoxo
Wow...this is awesome .... this is so realistic 😍...by the way which machine is used for cutting?
Hi Nancy! I'm so glad you think so, my friend - thank you. I use The Cricut Maker, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. xoxo
Can your cut files be enlarged to 6th scale?
Absolutely, Debra - svg files can be either enlarged or reduced. Just make sure you enlarge all of the components by the same percentage, so they continue to work together. xoxo
hello! Thank you so mych for this video :) I can't open the page of the svg file though. it's the same for the page of the ivy vine page. The page open on your website, but stays blank.

Obrigado pelas suas amáveis palavras, meu amigo. Para as rosas, foi usado papel vegetal. Óleo de bebê é esfregado na superfície do papel, em seguida, várias cores são adicionadas ao papel usando tintas de spray ou aquarela.
