While the show is no more, we do our own thing at the shop - once a year FHS Customer Appreciation Sale. It's our biggest sale of the year, typically crazy busy at the shop.

Been pretty busy on this side, and not so much new given current supply issues. Hopefully we can get more posted. Really need to work on Sergey, he's added a lot of new gear to our assortment. Also, need to get little son Mike back here to do a new intro. Two years after the little intro on this vid, he's a LOT taller. (That also means 2 years since he's been forced to wear a damn mask at school, for no reason other than teacher's union and federal covid money paid as behavior controlling bribe to school districts... Ah, perhaps that's one reason I haven't posted much, can't help but get a bit po'd over current crap...all motivators to go fishing and feel the fresh air of freedom).

Wow some huge baits, thanks Mark!

Big bait, big fish...except with calico bass... They seem to gobble up stuff near half their own size! To a 300 lb tuna, these big baits aren't so big, and if you were trying to survive on two-eyes-and-a-wiggle sized bait you'd be yearning for some big meals, too.

Thank you much Deano. Hope you folks are surviving the WuFlu plandemic promoting politicians' dictated restrictions on liberty. Seems the worse things get the more we need time on the water to maintain sanity.

We'll know more as we play with the new toys this season. Nomad hit another home run it appears, and well priced which is also nice to see.

i am in Western Australia, i ran one of the smallest sizes in my spread on last friday. i am going to give it the benefit of doubt at this point as i am sure the lure took a hit, but no hook up, on retrieval of the lure the wing had snapped off (been pulled off)at the bolt point, tearing the bolt from the lure frame leaving it un-repairable. this is the first one i have tried and only managed about 10min's of trolling time before hit/failure am now wanting another because if it was a hit it came fast, but don't want to spend 40 buck's on a new lure every hit. due to breakages ?

the nomad flyer is not durable the anchor points on the luee body breaks off then it's done 100.00 down the drain

Agree.. if they can figure out to make a more durable wing mount then it would considerably be the best option

That's the biggest crap lure of all time (the nomad flying fish)!!! Shit quality! And too expensive for what it does. I work with fishing tackle in Australia and that shit (including the accessories) has never performed well. Last week I personally threw lots of those accessories in the bin! From our bargain section to the bin!

Thanks for the feedback. Initial sales were very good, folks eager to try 'em and the Nomad product came in at lower price the other soft baits which we represent. Before the lures really had opportunity to be fished here in SoCal (warmer water brings flying fish to our area in July/Aug) folks moved off that style of fishing and began trolling for the big bluefin off our coast. Ensendada guys were first back in May. That trend continued thru summer and fall, never did develop the flying fish routine off kites this year, at least not to the level of the prior years. Every year it seems our local guys go from one dominate technique to another and don't apply last year's lessons. I can't say good or bad about the Nomad flier, but I can say this particular supplier is playing the social media hype game very aggressively and like politics it can project plenty of BS within that echo chamber. Time will tell, I've heard some early reports saying the lures proved effective and others who have their complaints. Comparing to the "rubber" imitations we have been using here which cost more than Nomad's product...seems you do get what you pay for. The Sea Monster Kamakaze fliers, MagBay, CA Fliers all run more and may indeed prove more effective.
