I have to laugh a little bit every time I watch one of your videos of how your dad has to supervise you like my dad used to have to supervise me while working on things! I sure miss those days now! Great work!!
Thank you for saying that! Yes, he's taught me SO much, and at my age now, I've learned a lot on my own. BUT, he does love to supervise, lol. And every once in a while, he catches me about to make a mistake. His supervision is priceless 😉
Thank you very much! Yes! I am ready to move on to something else. The rest of our property needs some TLC and I'd really like to make some more firewood!!! 😁
Recently did two Deck Rail Veranda systems. 2nd one I assembled the top and bottom rails and balusters when all parts were laying flat ON the deck VS trying to position virtual square vinyl tube balusters since THEY will not remain in place while trying to put the top Rail ONTO them. From the flat surface then raised the "assembled" rail into position between two posts. AND yes the aluminum square end screws are K-R-ap.
@dakotacabo5363 The struggle with those screws is real, lol. The final assembly looks great, and that's the most important part. It was a little frustrating I had to cut the rails to be square and they weren't perfect from the factory. Being a good carpenter involves noticing and fixing 🤠👍
As usual, awesome result! I have to agree about the Box Store quality. But the specialized company would be prohibitively expensive. Hmmm... but not out of the price range of a growing UA-cam channel. Congratulations!!!
Thank you! You're right, a better product would definitely have been cost prohibitive, but the result makes all of the work worth it. I sure hope the channel grows enough to make things more affordable 😁👍
is that oart in the video i couldn't find it because i just did deck with that and looks gorgeous i was just confused about those aluminum pieces and i wasn't able to put them ina and manual said nothing about it

Looks great. Enjoy the quality time with your dad and savor every moment.
Thank you! Yes, absolutely. Every single minute ❤️
You do some awesome stuff! Looks beautiful!
Thank you VERY MUCH!!! Can't wait to show the finished before and afters next week!!! 😁👍
Excellent job, done like a professional. It really looks fantastic. I can well imagine you are relieved that it's nearly completed Sam.

wow what a wonky gate at best. one screw goes in metal and the other in plastic. i see myself revisiting this thing in the near future
Thank you for watching. Yeah, I'm not entirely happy with the gate. It's sagging a little bit. Could have a better design 🤔
what did you do with the aluminum that is supposed to be inside the side rail
@@tommydee3765 Good question. The only aluminum pieces were in the gate assembly 🤠👍

@@tommydee3765 Yes, the gate assembly is in the video. Thank you so much! I'm very happy with how it turned out
