@@archiewoosung5062 Creeping in? Well, the vast majority of UK/Irish pop/rock singers sing in an American accent which is really bizarre. And, what's even more bizarre is that nobody ( on either side of the Atlantic) mentions it...or maybe they don't even hear it anymore.
@@musik102 Singing is probably a separate issue; remember an American asking why all English speakers sang with an American accent & he was thinking of the Beatles! Remember seeing "regular" given as the middle size in Woolworths 25(?) years ago & wondering how long it would take before it was in common use.
@@archiewoosung5062 Well, famously, when The Beatles first arrived in New York in 1964. there was a chaotic, huge press interview, and the American press were stuck with the huge difference between The Beatles spoken voice ( Liverpudlian) and their singing voices which was, of course , American. Indeed, one reporter asked The Beatles, straight out, why they sang with an American accent, and John Lennon replied, "Because it sells better". I'm glad the Beatles recognised that they performed with an American because lots Brits didn't seemed to know that. Of course, as time moved on, they got less and less American...sort of.
