carefull removing the card and only use plastic trim tools or use ducktape to protect the carbon fibre panel...
whas amazed to see the bad refiting job on such a expensive and new car...the lower side o the card whas glued and the top corner had a selftapper😪...this model is still using the classic metal and plastic clips,why anybody use glue when those can be replaced cheap...
moving on🤣...the door loom is a mision to remove,so many plugs and wires...Bmw!!! is 2021 use a main plug🤭😒!!!

How do you remove the door release lever that’s on top of the panel?

You need to remove the door card,because off the cable...not that hard only is a cheap and bad design...no main electric plug just lots of wires and hidden plugs...tbh try and pull the red tag under the handle so will flip over and angage the door lock and see if is a scrue under...but i dont know exactly without a car in front
