The Lord Dunmore River Crossing 250th Anniversary

Remembering Lord Dunmore 's War and the Fort Gower Resolves, events which preceded the Revolutionary War and took place in and around what we now know as southeastern Ohio 250 years ago, there was a re enactment of Lord Dunmore crossing the Hocking River in Logan, Ohio on Saturday October 19, 2024. The crossing took place at what is believed to be the location crossed by Dunmore and his men back in the fall of 1774. Join us as the event was re created on a beautiful fall day. Thanks to all who took part. A complete feature video telling the story of Lord Dunmore's War and the Fort Gower Resolves is currently in production by Tales Of Southeastern Ohio, The Hocking County Historical Society of Logan, Ohio and the Southeast Ohio History Center in Athens ,Ohio and will be released soon.
