- Four searchers take advantage of the Texas droughts and dead of winter to hunt fresh water swimming beaches. It's Team Canada (Jolene Cormier and her father Barry) vs. Team Texas (Steve Moore and Sue Wilson from Garrett) in a good-natured detecting contest to see who can find the most jewelry.

Sabbathz This is Barry the one in the video, I managed to get on the hunt through my daughter. She asked if it was ok for me to go along. She's a hell of a lot prettier then me and talks a lot more elegant then me. thank god she takes after her mother in that case lol. I've been to the Garret factory and met Vaughan Garret and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy, really proud of his machines and backs them up all the way. I don't know if you know any Mason's or their code of conduct but I'm one and I will tell you in no way was this hunt staged. Oh by the way I did find a gold ring 14k while there but didn't know it until I cleaned it. Any way happy hunting all and gl.
Aw man, you guys could have swung by Toronto and picked me up before heading down to Texas! LOL

Just got my AT Pro this morning. Turned it on right away and didn't put it down till 4 this afternoon. This metal detecting thing is a Hoot! Can't wait for tomorrow morning to head out again. I'm off to our local swim'n hole.
so if i buy a new Garrett AT Pro , can I get invited on one of these... I'm in Vegas, so its just a drives away...

I want to buy a Garrett, which one should I get for any terrain, dirt/sand/wet sand/ocean?

sweet hunt, I've never seen so many rings found at one time. Hopefully some day I'll get to come down and do a hunt with you guys from Garrett
find where they have frisbee golf and you will be amazed at how many rings you find if nobody has hunted it

just recieved my at pro what would you set your settings at for coins and gold as far as iron audio and freq. in pro mode

+Paul Sneyd this is Barry , come on now if you had a chance to go out with the Garrett teem would you. I,m from Canada and I love detecting and to get out with a great bunch of people and detect is a chance of a life time. It was my first time out with them and like a fool I offered to rebury the chain I found so they could see me dig it but they told me they don,t do that. There was nothing fake in any way about those digs.

+Paul Sneyd None of the hunt videos on this channel are faked. Special permission was given to search this fresh water beach which is normally off limits to metal detecting. Many of the rings found were probably lost there during the summer of 2013. There are two other videos in this series of lake hunting ua-cam.com/video/0sJH_fC2eOw/v-deo.html was done at this same beach. ua-cam.com/video/3RqeJneensE/v-deo.html Both were filmed at fresh water beaches with special permission.
