B-2 BOMBERS Fairford 2019 with low and loud overhead passes 4K

- Here’s some footage from fairford 2019. Three Northrop Grumman B2 Spirit bombers where deployed and I was fortunate to capture two of them taxiing to the runaway and taking off. After a five hour training mission they returned and landed on runway 27 where I waited under the flight line for the overhead passes.
The three aircraft deployed to the UK were

SPIRIT OF MISSISSIPPI. 1071
SPIRIT OF NEW YORK. 1068

Crazy how we went from rubbing two sticks together to the B2 Stealth.
Exactly, we didn’t “ we had help” 👽 try know 😂
Reverse engineering alien craft and materials does wonders.
@@clemsonalum98 exactly 👊
1. pretty incredible human ingenuity.
2. aliens didn't help us make shit, lol, take off your tinfoil hats.
3. amazing how far humans will go to find new ways of killing each other.
The aliens are surprised and disappointed that we could make the B2 Stealth Bomber.
It still screams “UFO” whenever u look at it from the front & sides, it is just that sleek & mysterious!
The sound of it too !
It is
Cuz the got the inspiration from a UFO
Or rather copied an alien aircraft
It does have a unique shape
Remember seeing these for the first time as a kid at RIAT around 1999/2000, blew my mind, one of the most iconic aircraft of all time. Great to have them back!
They are not back as such, they are rotated with B52 wings for training over Europe. That's why there is no long term accommodation for families, it's crews only other than the permanent base staff. One wing arrives with support staff and the other returns home.
Dartmoor Dave good gen cheers 👍🏼
The legacy of Northrop lives on! He truly was a pioneer in aviation. Glad he got to see his dream fly before he passed.

Yes he knew he was right the whole time he was a man ahead of his time rip JACK
That plane is 30 years old and it was 50 years ago that we walked in the moon 6 times. It would scare you to know what we have now that no one knows about.
what do you know, Steve?
Unmaned beasts 🛸
B-21
So, so true!
Hopefully they weren’t being piloted by John Travolta and Christian Slater.
😁
Those were B3s . For reals..
Broken Arrow
Haha such a cheesy film
Or Harrison Ford in real life.
I expected to see it go vertical and disappear in under a second.
Incredible!
Thanks for posting.
Yes! God bless America, I’m as English as you could be and very proud of the relationship and history we have with the USA, from a Plymouth Pilgrim...
Why would God bless criminals and thieves like Americans and British?
Actually you sound more American than English so no, you are not "as English as you could be" unless integrity is no longer a requirement to be so.

Amazing machines, so majestic yet so deadly! Great filming and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and the comment Alan 👍
Thanks for this footage ! just subscribed to this channel, wonderful work thanks !!
Thanks Yassine. Appreciate the comment and the sub 👍
During my career, and from its inception, I was appointed to the position of my company's Responsible Engineer on the B-2 aircraft life support system. It's so good to see such an innovative design still fulfilling an important role in military aviation.
Well, the innovative Design is just stolen loot of the ww2, where Horten developed it for Nazi Germany.
@@famaccount479 Northrop built N1s, XB-35s and XB-49s independently of Horten, and unlike Horten actually built them in quantity.
@@hailexiao2770 You know the difference between experimental and real planes? And also, they build the experimental because the stolen Horten Design.
@@famaccount479 Experimental planes are real planes, in that they are functional. Ho-229 was never formally adopted for service by the Luftwaffe, and certainly not in quantity. N1M and XB-35 were designed and built before Northrop had access to Ho-229s.
@@hailexiao2770 The Horten was ready to, just the war was finish. And then compare, a jet plane with stealth ability vs. a prop experimental which flow the first time after the war. Lmao, you compare this both seriously? xDDD
Wow talk about "drive it like you stole it"! That first guy taxiing a Billion-Dollar bomber like it's a Cessna 172
The footage is sped up. You can see the car fly be at an unrealistic speed. The audio seems unedited though.
51Pineapples car didn’t seem that fast

Thank you for such incredible HD video!!! I’m almost in disbelief you could get so close to see and film?!
Excellent footage, thanks for sharing
Great Vid!! I miss being at home in the "Show Me State" and the almost everyday refueling flyby's. Even from 18,000' they are fun to watch.
Love it Dafydd. I was there too last week. What an amazing experience to see those fantastic aircraft!
Indeed 👍
i was so there woop, touch and go landings were awesome
Wow! Awesome vid! On the ground they look really small, but once airborne it looks huge! Thanks for posting! Cheers!
Thanks for watching Ted 👍
Never disappointed when I come to this channel.
Thank you
Crazy how it goes from a giant bat in the sky to a literal sliver lol how sick is that
Incredible shots, as ever!
The most beautiful aircraft ever made.
Awesome filming and still shots!
Great video dafydd, what a beautiful monster, and some beautiful stills 😀👌👍
I saw this magnificent aircraft fly north over Los Angeles a couple months ago at 4am.
Thank you so much for posting this-I felt like I was right there on the flight line.
Thanks for watching 😎👍
Dafydd Phillips outstanding video footage especially of the undercarriage-stunning 🔥
I love how quiet the b-2s are.
Thank you Dafydd! If this does not look like it belongs in the next Terminator film, nothing does. It's almost scary to look at. They say this and the 117 are absolutely not capable of flying without the onboard computers. They would fall like rocks!
Incrível a beleza e imponência do B-2. É de arrepiar ver este monstro do ar, com seus 52 metros de envergadura! Muito bom....
Stunning footage mate
Cheers Phil
A marvellous B-2A Spirit and a extraordinary sight of this aircraft 😎🤩
WOW ,DUDE !!!!!
B2 !! This Video , and B2 sound is
absolutely Amazing !!
greetings from Poland , and thanks for you all videos
Dziękuję Ci
Appreciate the comment Walt 👌
Epic! Well done bro. Well freaking done.
Thank you.
People often say the B-2 is what people saw when reporting UFOs, but you'd have to be deaf to mistake that sound for anything but a jet engine. Most UFO reports I've read about have said the vehicles were silent.
It is silent once in air ... watch more videos of it at high altitudes with sound
@@deecoder4497 I've read and viewed a variety of reports and they took place under various circumstances. If any plane could easily be mistaken for a UFO, it would be the B2, but many reports talked of a vehicle close enough to be hit with a baseball. Some have claimed the stars were blocked out as though they had opened a newspaper in front of them.
You probably can't hear it when it's at altitude
Shhhh. That’s our B3 program.
@@DavidSmith-qo1se Who's to say how many of those reports are accurate though. My grandfather did random human psychology tests on this kind of stuff before. One time he walked out of KMart and insisted he saw a UFO. Before you know it quite a few people were insisting they saw it too. Even though there wasn't one. People do weird stuff. Not saying everyone lies of course, just that you gotta be careful with reporting. Hell Bigfoot is a good example. Thousands if not more claim they saw Bigfoot. Yet magically every video of it is unclear. Despite crisp and clean camera technology these days. But people sure do like the story.
Absolutely superb Video! The B2's just look and sound awesome! Must be an impressive experience when these black beauties pass low over your head!
I live near Whiteman air force base where they are stationed and see them quite often. They have a distinctive sound, low and just rumbling on and on, but only when flying away. You can't hear them coming toward you at all. Scary because you realize that if you were a target, you'd never know until it was all over!
considering the tech for this id from 70s and 80s, imagine what they have now, or are developing
Didn't show up in my feed? Excellent footage as always 👌
Thank you. Not sure how YT notifies subscribers?? They may spread them over a few hours of uploading ?? I’m sure it’s a complex system.
Appreciate your viewing 👍

Hard to believe these are human made. Seems alien like.

Wow Wow Nice I love this, Nice job men
Like so many older aircraft out there, the B2 looks good, despite the fact it came out in 1989. I bet there're a few upgrades.. Lol.. Great video work. Thanks 👍

A true work of technology, looks like a boomerang

Awesome engineering
Oh look, another Dafydd Phillips video!!!!!!! *Click*
I hope these things keep on flying for a while
They don't waste much time taxiing do they? Great footage. I remember the cold war days when they'd shoot you for filming this. :)
Right...
I lived next door to a SAC base and this is so true.
A Yeehawd I know. It kind of seems treasonous just watching this
That taxi footage was sped up.. :) . Audio wasn't...
Can they still arrest you if you film certain parts of this aircraft?
JJ Skippy no
Awesome
Deadly weapons.....in invisible armor.Greetings from Croatia.
BEAUTIFUL MACHINES👍🇪🇦🛩❤
Amazing display of technology. I have a pretty cool photo from a chase plane of the B-2's grandpa, the YB-49. In the 40's that was so advanced. Interesting while on jury duty once I was talking to a Northrop engineer about the 117, he said and I quote "With computers now we can make a barn door fly". Well here you see a Boomerang flying
Impressive stuff
Thanks for posting this beauty!
It’s a pretty surreal aircraft. Thanks for watching and the commment 🇺🇸
It dose look like batmans boomerang .
They should have called it the bomberang.
Scott Gorman. That guy was so right. Planes like the F 117 would be impossible to fly without computers.
Superb
It is good too see the oscillation problems irorned out.
You ... like me... are a considerate Photographer.
When you do a good job, most people don't notice
Good job on the framing and video. Spot on keeping both aircraft taking off (as best as possible). Lockheed makes the sexiest aircraft bar none.
Thank you.

It's built by Northrop Grumman.
@@springn633 Really - ok my bad I thought it was Lockheed, I have SR-71 on the brain 24/7 - maybe I should have said the USAF has the sexiest aircraft lol
We in the U.S. owe our ever faithful British allies for allowing us to use their ground and air space. My depression era dad taught me that without the British holding out alone against the Nazi evil, we might be speaking German as our native tongue in Missouri today. I still remember, as a child in the early 70s, my parents listening to recordings of CBS reporter Edward R Murrow reporting on the 'Blitz'. Those words he spoke, with the background of falling incendiary bombs upon London, the heart of western civilization...'This is London.." Western civilization owes a great deal to the United Kingdom, a small, island nation of stubborn and determined people who would not submit to tyranny.
I live on the west side of San Antonio and I see f18 action all day. I've almost wrecked a few times watching them. Every now and then you'll see a mig or a f22
lerch400block excuse me-a MiG?? In US Airspace??
@@eastwestcoastkid yep the older ones the Iraq army has. But I mainly see C5s. I can't explain the excitement when the f18s are out. It's incredible.
lerch400block ?? You’re sure you’ve seen Migs flying in US Airspace? They’re being flown by US personnel I’m sure.
@@eastwestcoastkid Obviously they are being flown by US personnel.
Rob Fraser I would imagine-I’m just surprised they’re being flown at all, since they are such dated aircraft.
Impressive size!
Great!
I like that the video is 617 long :)
There are only 21 of these things. You’re so lucky to see this take off.
21 to the public...🤣
Looks like a small, loud version of the Tr6-Telos I saw over an Arizona backroad.
I can only repeat what most others say, great stuff. We went to Fairford many years ago when a Russian aircraft nearly crashed, glad it didn’t we were quite close.
Google HO-229 .... that is an german plane
Freaking awesome
It looks like one of the avengers aircrafts
If they're invisible to radar, how does the base track them visually?
Wow! Incredible and impressively B-2, absolutely fantastic..no stress for B-2, low and elegant in the sky..love it, thanks for the post
Amazing photos, thank you for posting. What lenses are you using?
Thanks for watching.
I’m using a canon 1dx2, 300mmf2.8 lens with 1.4 converter
I remember watching videos in the 80s that featured triangular ufos. That is all I see when I see these giant air, ninjas.
That was the sightings
Dafydd, I've been able to count rivets on the underside of the Spirit. As usual right through to the core of the action with the best possible stills and footage available. A true luxury to witness it through your lenses!!!!.
Patience gives us GREAT photography! Thanks
Looks Awesome yet Angry at the same time! God Bless our Military.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
@Alpha Cymru your country is shit bruh your teeth brit
I saw 2 tonight. It just makes me proud to be an American, the technology packed into those planes
Everybody gangsta till the payload door opens
with these three marvels of engineering and technology on UK soil, the value and power of the UK just went up.
You don't own them
Yes sir! America miltary power and weapons is to protect America and dont forget its allies.
Before this, I've never seen a b2 on the ground before and it looks weird but cool
Literally a devil with wings coming for you: they look fkn terrifyingly awesome
Chills!
I’d set-up industrial sized sound level mics on top of hills or weather balloons to pickup the obvious jet sound waves. If you can’t see em. hear them coming.
If we ever got to the point of needing to nuke, these would be the least of your worries. You can’t hear an ICBM warhead traveling 20 times the speed of sound.
so wicked lookin so deadly great stuff
I used to think these Aircrafts was being piloted by Juggernauts 😂 idk why lol
