Didn’t even hear about madubuike, 13 sacks as an interior d lineman leading the league at his position, and a great run stoppers. Likely stepping into mandrews’ shoes and filling them well, good value out of Gus, absolute goaline menace, just insane depth all over the roster.

@@H0rser ravens have a slightly better team overall, but with how many contracts are expiring at the end of the year for them. The ravens need to get this done this year. Brock Purdy will still be on his rookie deal for the next 2+ years which frees up a lot of space to pay players on the 49ers

Our depth is the only thing i'm surprised by, if all our guys are healthy we should be the best d fense in the game. The fact that edc built us up so deep, probably due to the injuries over last few years, has been nothing short of amazing
And we still lost quite a few contributing players: JK Dobbins, Keaton Mitchell, David Ojabo, Mark Andrews, A'Darius Washington

The thing is we won against Miami and literally half our secondary was gone

Forced Turnovers, hard hitting physical contact and tackles, relentless QB pressure, and the all important “fuck you happy to be bully” attitude has always been how Ravens play. It’s expected it’s what Play Like A Raven really means built on the backs of the 2000 Ravens. Now we have an offensive that carries that same attitude. We saw a small glimpse Ravens attitude offensive back in 2012 and look what that got us. This here now is incredible and it’s only the beginning. The football world finally giving us our flowers
Long time Steelers fan so naturally I have a deep hatred for the Ravens however I can’t help but admire this team. They are a throwback team and countering everything we thought about the modern NFL. A few years ago the narrative was that teams can’t win on Defense anymore. That the days of the 15 Broncos, 13 Seahawks, 2000s Ravens and Steelers were over due to the rules favoring the offense. They said that QB’s like Lamar were flashes in the pan because of their limitations throwing it. However the Ravens crushed both those notions. If they win part of me will hate it but at the same time I can only admire it too. Best of luck!
Tough to compare. 2000 ravens defense didn’t benefit from an offense that consistently had lengthy, time consuming scoring drives. Put they also didn’t have to contend with rules that heavily favor QBs and WRs.

A correction, the Ravens 4 shutout games in 2000 season is the second most in NFL history. Pittsburgh had 5 shutouts in 1976. I drink purple Kool aid all the time.😊🏈💪💯
Yeah Steelers had an actual HOF qb. Ravens D was better. Offense couldn’t even score a td in 5 games and we still won

I'm a lifetime Ravens fan. I've seen Ed Reed and Ray Lewis dominate for many years. The 2000 Ravens had four shutout games in a single. A record that may never be. The Ravens haven't had a shutout game since then. Mostly due to rule changes.
It's not the record. The 76 Steelers had 5 shutouts in the regular season
We have to give major credit to Eric DeCosta and Ozzie Newsome. These guys made the hires. Like Mike McDonald, Tee Martin, Todd Monken, Chuck Smith. Fired the old condition trainers and elevated Scott Elliott. Brought in OBJ, Clowney and all those names you mentioned. These guys are wheeling and dealing in the league, and they are heavily underrated. Yes this team is awesome top to bottom. But let's give exceeding appreciation for our cerebral front office‼️What a phenomenal staff and team these guys have put together. Ravens are gonna win it all this year. The crown is not given, it is taken 🔥
And now the architect is coming to Seattle
It's gonna be tough seeing some of these guys leave in the offseason. Not sure they can keep Patrick Queen and Justin Madubuike. And Mike McDonald very well may take a Head-Coaching job someday soon

honestly that game was a lot worse for the ravens than people think. The ravens got 2 free touchdowns from the browns in forms of extremely stupid and avoidable turnovers. without the first terrible throw by watson deflected off a helmet and the dropped punt return the ravens would have lost that game 33-17. I think the ravens really do need to be worried about the browns if they want to come out on top. to top it off the browns did not capitalize on any turnovers and won solely by driving the ball down the field.

Remember two years ago. Steve Bisciotti and EDC said they want to build a bully. I believe they quietly unleashed the bully on the school yard that is the NFL. Lunch money being taken, cute dudes being mushed in the face and parents are whining. LOL! Depth behind top notch talent and schemes that compliment the players. The keys to that defense are Queen, Hamilton and Madibuike. Why not Roquan? Well is clearly the defender you have to account for. Mac unleashes Queen like a heat seeking missile. Hamilton is a Swiss Army knife. Then you have Madibuike just shoving around Guards and Centers with ease.
Guess what? They are giving the offense extra shots
They say his stats ain’t there for mvp…. But being the first player with 3600 passing and 800 rushing is a little crazy
It's because they pick and choose which stats they want to support their favorite players. Lamar's never been a media favorite, so they refuse to see his record-breaking stats as anything of value. It's so weird.

one of the best things about this Ravens defense is how well they work together. Yes, individually they are great players, but together they seem to be able to bring out the best in each other and I think that is what makes them truly great. I only hope that the Ravens offense can do the same against the Chiefs on sunday. If they can find a groove together they will be unstoppable

As a Ravens fan, we've been enjoying this exciting man play for years. This year he's got a new OC, new weapons, and ability to change calls at scrimmage if he sees something in Defensive. And boy, has that unlocked even more talent.

If you factor in the rule changes of the last 20+ years, I think the Ravens 2023 defense is more _impressive_ than the 2000 unit, even if not truly better. The 2000 (and 2006) Ravens defenses were absolutely dominant, but they accomplished that dominance with plays that would draw 15-yard penalties nowadays. It is insanely impressive what Mike Macdonald and these talented players ("Stephens" is pronounced like, well, Stephens...i.e., like "Stevens") have been able to do this year.
Friendly suggestion: you're very easy to understand when speaking. The captions are a bit distracting & unnecessary imo.

The Ravens have an excellent chance to make it to the Superbowl and should be the favorite when they get there. The teams that concerns me most are the bills and browns. This should be a classic playoff season we are about to receive, amen. I think it will be a rematch with the 49ers. What a great game that would be. Can't wait.
I'm not worried bout the Browns Flacco is a statue and they been playing irrelevant teams. Bills are more of a concern than any of them but if the Bills have an off game we will blow them out. 🗣️💯

I’m not advocating for injuries but the facts are the facts. When teams play Baltimore they get injured. I know some are pre existing but it seems like Baltimore breaks em. They aren’t dirty either, Kyle Hamilton had a bad hit against Tennessee but that’s all that I can remember.

Ravens keep losing coaches that they've brought up through their Coach-making Factory in Westminster, MD. It's HARD to stay consistently excellent when the man coordinating the whole thing up & leaves after winning a SB or worse... starting to get close to that level & then the Coach gets wooed & hired by another team inevitably. There needs to be some kind of level of trust that the coaching core will remain together for a certain number of years despite all the offers for head coaching positions due to their success. (Like a marriage) "No matter WHAT happens, failure OR tremendous success...the coaching core stays together until they've at LEAST gotten to what they believe is their ceiling...their highest possible level of success (hopefully that's 1 or more SB's)!

First of all, it's Stephens not Steffens. Secondly, when you said he's the unsung hero on defense, the first thought I had was anyone and everyone on the defense could have been picked especially Stone, Van Noy, Pierce, Clowney or Madubuike. The only defensive players the played all year that I wouldn't say that about are PQ, Ro and K Ham.
