Thank you for posting my first dead show! A couple factoids: Smoking wasn't allowed in the shrine, which is a highly ornate venue built in the 1920s. Ushers in red jackets scurried around trying to stop people smoking, sometimes grabbing joints out of hands and grinding them out. Pretty surreal Donna flashed the crowd in the "nothing to hide" line in Passenger Sound quality in there is outstanding
Hi there from a rainy night in Somerset!! These early 78 shows were just as wild and mind-blowing as any thing they did in 77!!!!!!!!! Is this a bettyboard ?? Peace and love to all Ems
Stay safe Elaine. Gracias. I got the white... and I got the red. OK! Now we can eat! We got the Bertha... and we got the He's Gone. Now we can get on with our day! Had the Bertha on at 5am but nodded back out
Loved this performance. Thanks for sharing. Brown Eyed Women had a different arrangement that I had never heard before. The quest of the Dead Head is to listen to the same songs over and over and detect the subtle changes.
Check out the one from 4/15/78. It's awful, but it's the most different one I've ever heard. I think the drummers were out of sync with the rest of the band or something. It's been a while since I listened, but I remember it being quite the train wreck. Not sure why they decided to change up BEW in '78. I think my favorite ones are whenever Jerry adds an extra measure of guitar solo, and that seemed to start happening in '77.
Ah yes 1978, that ubiquitous year, love 1978 personally, when they are on they are smoking and some of the shows (07-08, 10-21) rival 1977 shows and New Years 1978 is phenomenal. Thank you for posting Elaine P.S. Check out the Passenger
@@eletricnaneland352 Hello and good morning Elaine, Thanks for the Positive music and for your kind, hard work in putting it out for ALL to enjoy!!It Was great in 78!! Take Care My Friend!!🎶🎸☕💨💨🚬☕💨💨⚡💥⚡😎🍄😁☮️💜
Love this one! Thanks Elaine! I haven’t heard my old tapes in years and never transferred them so your stuff is always such an awesome treat! Much love to you & your family & our community fam from cold & snowy “Westconsin!”🌹💀❤️🌹💀❤️
Ha that's funny! My original source for tapes was a grandaddy deadheads reel to reel collection many of which would famously feature " dropouts" when the equipment would overload I guess and reset. Was my first experience with the term " dropout" of course. I spent a lifetime listening to those reels, there were remarkable, things I still have never heard again or elsewhere. Well I can tell you for sure the song that featured the most dropouts was surely was surely the amped up double time round and rounds. Happy memories, delightful listening. 78! The year they really were the greatest rock and roll band in the 🌎 world 🌍. Rolling Stones and Zepp included. Your band my band Our band!!!!foreverdead
They were riding a beauty wave.. ❤

That's it! The year they were a rocknroll band thats my feeling and of course thats why is my fav year! Just perfect observation. 💯
Damn , Jer shredded that one. He was on fire . All of em were really, but some very fine (exceptional) playing on jers behalf.
Great sound and show thanks for posting
Always been a US Blues guy, Jerry out does him self on that solo before back to back ( you know the rest)
Good morning ☕🌅

Hey now everyone. This version of Sunrise is just beautiful 😎🎸🌋🐬🏖🐳🐋
Love Donnas solo 💜🎤👧🏻
Pra ficar perfeito, só faltou Eyes of The World e Terrapin Station na setlist desse show
Seria perfeito de outra forma, porque incluindo essas, poderia sair outras, como wharf rat 😉
hey its my birthday🤠
That Jack Straw is HOT
Can you possibly post it just by itself?
It rivals 1/22/78
