once they get the pier fixed its a good place to fish for sharks at night. me andmy dad use to shark fish off sanibel pier and caught bullsharks all the time. also mahara are not very good live bait to use. get a sabiki and either use shrimp or shrmip scented fish bites and catch some pinfish or grunts for live bait.

Dude, Mojarra, sand perch get huge. Over a pound. We catch and eat them.
