It is gold toned hardware, but it not the light or cheap hardware. It is substantial. It does not turn another color. Let me know if you have any other questions🌼

I believe the bag charm is brass, but the hardware throughput the bag is brushed gold toned. It appears to be the same hardware used on the Florentine Satchels🌼
